FQ Sister was billed as something wonderful. We watched it all and wanted to see how it ended but found it far fetched and were generally underwhelmed!

We had a lovely roast, just waiting for the bill now.

Thanks FQ, it was nice to eat out

On the way home we called on friends as they wanted OH's help to disconnected a pipe from their dishwasher (they are moving soon) I don't know how they would cope if we ever moved away!
I stayed in the car. OH masked up, went into the kitchen via that door and did the job in less than five minutes. We then had a cuppa and chat with them on their covered patio, coats on. The rain stayed away until we drove home, so we were lucky. We will miss meeting up with them over the next few weeks.

A horrible wild wet night here too Nan2.
Once we fed the neighbours cat we were happy to shut the doors and stay inside!

After much thought, we decided to come home today from DS1's. But DS and OH have spent most of the day doing things in the garage.

One of the several problems and extra worries they don't need at the moment is a leak in the water pipe between the pavement and their house. It's due to be fixed on Tuesday, the day DS has his first post-biopsy appointment with the consultant! But with lockdown looming there are things we need to do here as well, so DIL's step-father has promised to be there to see what's happening. It's complicated to explain but the new pipe may have to be tunnelled underground - which would mean taking up the newly laid garage floor! The garage is DS1's pride and joy and houses his two car renovation projects, so he's gutted. Even worse he won't be there to keep an eye on what they're doing. So he and OH have cleared that side of the garage, moved the little sports car onto the 'safe' side of the drive and then had to move the other, bigger and heavier car to the far side of the garage, which meant OH towing it up their sloping drive and manoeuvering it into the other side of the garage. DS really shouldn't have been doing this, I'm sure, but we decided it was better to help him than have him worrying about it.

The journey back was horrible - high winds and very heavy rain, and the roads were very busy as well.

Oh why does everything happen at once Daisy?!

I'm glad you got safely home. I hope you get a good night's sleep.

DS1 and DIL could without the worry of the leaking pipe, do hope they don't have to dig up the floor of the garage. The weather was very wild today for your journey home Daisy

Daisy, I am pleased you got home and hope you get a good nights sleep. I hope that the pipe can be repaired without taking the garage floor to pieces.

                      Good morning everyone.

The wind has died down a lot, and it's looking quite bright out there.

Library duty for me this afternoon. As libraries have to close again from Thursday, this will be my last until the lockdown is eased. I'm hoping DD3 may come to see me there today. It's the one place we can see each other inside.

Have a good day, and week, ladies. We can get through all this together!

Oh Daisy, the leaky pipe was something none of you needed.
At least you know someone will be there to oversee things.

Sun is shining at the moment, but we keep having showers.

Off to get braising steak, onions and mushrooms in the slow cooker.
We will have mash and green beans with it.

Very blustery and rainy here still. Still trying to get my head around further lockdown but luckily I’ll still be able to see DD. I am going to visit a friend tomorrow morning but that will be it for a while.

The thought of all these days stretching ahead is very daunting, last time I was busy looking after DH, now I have to try and fill my time. I know lots of us are in the same position so I am looking for hints and tips, but it’s the motivation I lack.

I will still be having Dexter a couple of afternoons so he will be good company but the lack of human contact is harder to deal with.

Anyway, we will all get there I’m sure......hope your DS gets good news on Tuesday, Daisy.

Have a good day everyone ☔️🌞

Wow, you must have needed that sleep Oma.
Normally I would say early November is far too early to have Christmas decorations up. This year though, to be honest, whatever gets you through!

Good morning, very blustery this morning, I hope it is better this afternoon as I have to take my Ebike for a service. After I have been to aqua that is.

Enfys, the days will be long, I am thinking the same, if the weather changes I won't be able to get out and about as much as I usually do, I need a hobby really, apart from sitting here!

Gem, hope DD3 gets to the library to visit you. I don't know how my sister will be coping, her youngest son visits most days, is that still allowed after Thursday?

Oma, I hope all goes well for the funeral, it is a long way to travel. As for the Christmas decorations, I can't understand that at all. Friends of mine put their tree up a fortnight ago. You must have needed the sleep.

I am going in the car to the pool, it isn't far really. My friend told me we can't shower so will have to do that when I get home, then I have to go again and take my bike.
