Pouring with rain again here, very dark and dreary. I am going to put out some candles and fairy lights and try to cheer myself up 🌟

luckily I have plenty to keep me busy, books, knitting and new jigsaws so I will hunker down and enjoy a lazy day.

Dgd came home yesterday for a couple of day so we met for a chat. She was very careful about social distancing and it was awful not being able to give her a hug but so lovely to see her.

Must pop to Hobbycraft today, I have finished knitting a child's cardigan that Sil's mother started and I ran out of yarn, which is now not available, I made the collar smaller but have non left to sew it together, I hope I can find a colour to finish sewing it up. Her GGS who she was knitting it for has shot up so will now have to find another taker. Personally I am not keen on the colour. I will take it and show her when it is finished. Apart from that, no plans, happy to have a quiet day.

It’s dull and windy here at the moment, the sort of day when it never seems to get properly light.

No plans for today and we’re trying to work out when we to go home.

Plant I haven’t spoken to DS2 yet to see how GDs sleepover went. What a pity you ran out of wool before you finished the knitting, but I’m sure you will find something that looks nice.

Today is another day, we must grit our teeth and get on.
We had already booked to go out for Sunday lunch today at a pub in a nearby village . I'm glad as it will be a while before we can do this again.

Halloween was a wash out up here no one came out even for the Pumpkin trail it was so wet and windy

Nanto we need to sort our freezer to see what we need , i was going to go to the Farm shop butcher this week but that wont happen now .

My Hairdresser messaged me last night shes going to have a look in the book when she goes in tomorrow and try to get me in before Thursday , so kind of her .

Our Martin & Clare are traveling to Torquay today for her Grandads funeral tomorrow and coming back Tuesday ready for lock down ,
I hope it doesnt take too much out of her traveling so far with a Brain tumour isnt ideal is it .

I have given the bedrooms a good clean this morning not much else to do ,

Plant did you get a match for the wool ? my DD went to Hobby craft the other day she said there was a huge queue around the car park so many people stocking up on craft materials.

Didn't get to Hobbycraft, must go tomorrow before lockdown, I just need a small amount of wool to sew this cardigan up.
Sil has discovered what caused his gout. Sil and DD has recently started to take Zinc and when DD started to have pain in her toes they decided that was the culprit. His foot has been very swollen and very painful but it was quite a lot better yesterday.

Now we are going into lockdown again Daisy, if you go home, you will not be able to return for a month. Very hard for you to decide what to do for the best.

Our neighbours three doors down, whose cat we feed, are away in the Lakes with their family on a much needed break. They are mid to late 70s with various health problems, and their family are not local. They are due back on Friday as they were away for a week.. I don't know if they will have to be back for Thursday now though. I do hope they don't have to cut their holiday short.

Oh well here we go again, another lockdown.
We had planned to go to DS's and DIL for Sunday lunch ( first time out since February) but after discussion with DS on the phone this morning we agreed to leave it as the infection rate is rising rapidly here .

I really need to get a grip as I spent most of the broadcast of Boris last night crying.

No Sunday lunch for us now so I have taken out a spaghetti bolognese out of the freezer that I made some time ago l

Owner of my Hairdressers phoned this morning she has booked me in with my hairdresser for Wednesday morning , they are working 12 hour shifts Mon Tues Wed to try get as many in as they can and still abide by the rules , feel sorry for them its so up and down for all these places at the moment .

Good morning all another lockdown day. It’s very depressing but we must grit our teeth and bear it. I am making a venison casserole for dinner. Weather is damp and grey so won’t do much outdoors. Oma we won 1-0. Wasn’t the best of matches but it’s a win. Up against the mighty Liverpool next week😱I hope everyone is ok . Enjoy your day will pop by later 💐 ps watching Sister last night. On for 3rd ep. - I’m totally bored by it and dreadful acting. What do others think? Maybe I’m hard to please.

Our hairdresser was due on the 15th. She rang this morning,to see if she can come Tuesday afternoon.
Very pleased she rang.
Stocked up at the butchers yesterday,didn't panic buy,just bought what i would have done.
All packed away in the freezers now.

Nanto she rang to say they were there , almost 6 hours it took .
