Gem, so pleased your mum is doing ok.

Oma, glad the visit with MIL wasn't too bad.

Fairyqueen, hubby likes that programme as well.

Daisy, fish and chips were ok for me,but hubby wasn't too fussed. But, i usually enjoy anything i haven't had to cook.
We have decided to have a break from them for a bit. That means i will have to cook.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Fairyqueen - my OH loves The Repair Shop as well and I often watch it with him. There are some incredibly talented craft people on there. Our favourites are the 'leather lady' and the chap who wears two pairs of glasses on his head. It's a wonder he doesn't get them muddled up He's so knowledgeable and skilful.

Nanto - I know you don't enjoy cooking any more than I do, so I hope you soon get back to your Friday Fish-n-Chips.

Gem - I'm so pleased to hear your mum's doing well.

Oma - that must be very frustrating for your hairdresser, having to close down again so quickly, but definitely better safe than sorry.I'm sure their clients will thank them for it. I noticed in the news that Newcastle and Gateshead have seen a rise in Covid cases.

I love the repair shop too, it was one of P’s favourites. The “leather lady” and the two glasses chap are brother and sister. They are all so talented ...I get quite envious when I see their work.

Enfys those two on The repair shop are brother and sister , such talent these people have i love that programme ,

Yes Newcastle Gateshead and Sunderland we all heading for a lock down , i told you all about the new street food outlet on Sunderland's sea front last week , Its called the Stack its about 20 Packing container style street food outlets with a court yard of long wooden tables and seats , recipe for disaster opening it up at this time we think .
Packed it was at least 100 + standing in queues along the sea front no masks and more inside , the pub fronts with tables outside no social distancing no masks young people crammed in , no wonder its on the rise .

Good morning, it is the same here Oma, the pubs, students out drinking etc, very bad, in fact I read that if Den Haag was a country it would be orange, so many new cases daily. In fact, my DS2 and DIl have just phoned to tell me to stay safe!!! No crowds, no pool in Den Haag. At least they think of me.

Its the 20-30 age group here Lizzie and a lot of old people who im surprised at to be honest , its a case with the older ones well you have to die of something ,
Even said as such on the local news , I just think some people are selfish and only think of themselves .

Really bad news about the rise in covid cases.

Sunny here, but it looks like we have rain during the night.

Off to the garden centre later for a browse.
Hoping we can get in the cafe for dinner.

                      Good Morning everyone.

I like the colourful graphic Nan2, I hope you get to eat in the cafe. A day off cooking! Is there any other takeaway you both like that you could try for a change if fish and chips are for now off the menu?

Tonight we are going to friends for a meal. We have seen them a few times since lockdown, but this will be the first meal we have shared. Looking forward to it.
No other plans yet, DD3 is visiting Mum this afternoon, I will go tomorrow.

Have a good Saturday whatever it holds.

                          Good morning, grannies.

Nanto - I don't know who that cheerful chappie is sitting in your coffee cup, but he's very friendly! It will be nice to have a wander round the garden centre - hope you can get a meal there as well.

Oma, I see B's got his work cut out (literally!) for him today. Was your neighbour's door uPVC? I've never heard of it being sprayed, but what a good idea, because eventually they do start to look a bit shabby.

Gem - enjoy your evening with your friends. I think we all value these little social get togethers more since Covid entered our lives.

It's shocking how much people are ignoring social distancing etc, and no doubt they are the ones who will moan when we all end up in lockdown again! It's interesting from what Lizzie says that it's not just the UK!

It's a lovely sunny morning here today, and I want to get on with my latest painting. OH is planning to do some more wood turning today, so that will keep him busy. Proper little hive of industry in the Daisy domain!!

Oh, I need to wash bedding, and I have already cleaned the kitchen windows!

Good morning all. Lovely and sunny here. I have bought loads of winter pansies to put in the front garden so that will keep me busy. I’m glad there are fans of the repair shop on here! Those experts are so talented and what they do is so worthwhile. I love the Fletchers as well and I also like the lady who repairs porcelain- she’s so clever. They are all good. Especially Will who is fantastic with wood and nice eye candy! Haha!
regarding social distancing it is shocking how people just don’t take any notice and invade your space. The men who fitted our new front door yesterday did just that and I had to remind them to keep back! Honestly, it’s not hard is it? Drives me mad!
                            Enjoy your day everyone!

FQ will is gorgeous isnt he that smile oh my goodness hahaha

The lady with the porcelain is just amazing how she can repair something so broken to look perfect is magical

We had a engineer yesterday to check the stair lift was running ok
A lovely man who came dressed like he was a bio hazard inspector , mask goggles visor gloves the lot
As he said he goes into a lot of houses where people are poorly so he takes no chances ,

I did notice the People who came to spray paint the door over the road only had masks and goggles on i suppose because of the paint but only paper masks , wouldnt you think with the fumes it would be those industrial ones .

Are you pleased with your door ? bet it looks lovely .

Lovely and sunny again, not long up and breakfasted. I might have a another go at the border but I already have a huge pile of green waste waiting to go in bin.

B is going to be busy today Oma, I could do with a handy man. I didn't know you could have UPVC doors sprayed.

I really enjoyed yesterdays edition of the repair shop Fairyqueen, it seems a strange time to put it on. It is such a popular programme, I feel it should be shown later.
