Got my coat but just entered the shop and a fire drill started , had to stand in the cold and rain ages , we were just about to go back to the car when they let us back ,
I bought a knee length Regatta parker style in Navy , a heavy coat but will keep me warm , wont use the fur trimmed hood much unless it snows or rains heavy and it was 50% off so a bargain .
Didnt look at bedding we were too cold to walk around and the freezing rain started to drive in our faces , no cover between shops so we just came home .

SIL phoned her grandads funeral is on Monday so they are traveling down on Sunday , at least they get to go to his funeral , they didnt think they could but been given the go ahead .

WG if the rain is like here your DD will be freezing and wet

Your coat sounds lovely. DD2 bought a big duvet type coat last week, in view of the fact that to see anyone we have to spend more time outdoors!

I have put up the Halloween decs today, and watched the final Harry Potter film. I am also finishing the minutes, in between updating tomorrow's Sainsburys order and checking in here

Today is Halloween prep day! I have all 3 children for the day tomorrow, so am having a little Halloween tea for them. We are ordering pizza in, but I will make some goodies. Today I am going to make a ghost cake, some pumpkin face chocolate buns, and spider choc Krispie cakes. These may end up as just Krispie cakes, as I'm not convinced I can attach the Matchmaker legs I will make a Stick the nose on the witch game too.

Thinking of Daisy's family today and hoping the procedure goes smoothly.

(I have posted a photo as a test. Please tell me you if can see it. I think they have sorted the problem but need to check)

Hi all,
Thankyou for asking after me Oma. I am fine. The family are all well, so all is good here. Still very concerned about Daisy’s son. Thinking about him today as he has his biopsy. I try not to worry. It zaps to much energy, but sometimes easier said than done.

Good morning, I do hope all goes well for Daisy's son, so worrying.

I went to the physio yesterday for an ultra sound, luckily no problems with my hip, pelvis etc, it is a muscle problem and she said we will soon get that back to normal, I must say after the dry needling etc and sleeping with a cushion between my legs the pain is much easier. Physio said to try and walk so I have been out with my Nordic poles and done 4km, 3km yesterday so improving. It is much warmer than I expected it to be. I have ordered new walking shoes and they will be here this afternoon.
Photo's seem to be working again, these are the amaryllis I took for my DIL on Friday, she sent me this photo yesterday.

Good luck with all the Halloween preparations Gem.

I have a recipe for banana bread made with porridge oats, I have got all I need to make it so will give it a try later on.

I am so annoyed with myself, I missed my Aqua yesterday. Misread the clock, sat down to sort some knitting out after lunch thinking it was about 1pm and when I next looked at the clock it was past 2pm, the time I should have been in the pool. I had all my swimming stuff on the bed ready. I am sure that hour difference has upset my body clock.

I have just had a fish delivery from Grimsby so I must sort it out and get it in the freezer, will pop back later.

Good morning. I’ve been lurking but not posting, had a very emotional few days and didn’t feel like chatting much. We’ve had a lot of rain in the last few days, very showery here today too.

Hope all goes well for your DS today Daisy. X

Spoke to my DS at the weekend, he is making a good recovery from his tonsils operation and at last can eat. I think he will feel so much better without them.

Im keeping busy, have just taken all the glasses out of the cabinet, washed them and now they’re back, looking nice and gleaming. So that’s another job off the list.

I will enjoy my coffee then get on with something else. I like to be busy in the mornings then I can relax after lunch. I have some new books to read so that’s the plan. Have a good day everyone. 🌞
