You will be there in spirit Lizzie. Sadly this year so many people have not been able to say goodbye to loved ones at a funeral.

Afternoon all .
Yet another Christmas card has arrived from someone I forgot. Good job I still have plenty of cards but I am running low on postage stamps.
Oma pleased to say the cat hasn't been too much trouble these last few days.
Good to hear that your shoulder is getting better.
Gem this Christmas is going to be so hard for some families. XBring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi, I have just received a card from someone I "forgot" ! I have been on the bike for veg and eggs, I had to take the gloves and scarf off halfway there, far too warm. There isn't much wind so enjoyed the ride.
Yes, Gem, I can't do much about that, the same as a lot of things that we can't do! The restaurants here are all complaining that they are still closed.

The friends who were calling in about 1pm are not here. OH is a stickler for time keeping and is feeling annoyed! I am more relaxed about time, but if I was going to be more than quarter an hour past the time I would at least text to update. We are in and it's not a problem really, but I sort of see OH's point. A text takes seconds and is just courtesy. I know they were dropping off other cards near us, so I bet they have got chatting on drives!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Lizzie - Your BIL has done well to arrange your sister's funeral so quickly. I'm sure they all know you will be there in spirit. Is there any chance of it being streamed for you and other family or friends who can't get there? I think campers get stolen because they are so expensive to buy. I don't know how the thieves manage to disguise them, but selling them on is probably quite lucrative.
Oma - sorry, I forgot to say earlier that unfortunately ice works better on my thumbs than warm water! Brrrr .....
Mimi - the advantage of doing your cards a bit later is that you're less likely to miss anybody out.
Gem - S's proposed text was very tactful. I agree with you - I'm quite relaxed about time. I do try to be on time if I'm visiting or meeting people, but it really doesn't worry me if visitors arrive late - apart from the time we were hosting GD1's birthday party and the other GPs arrived 2 hours late - with the pudding!! (I tend to get to appointments - doctor, dentist, hairdresser etc - early. It messes up their whole day if people are late!)
We had a lovely hour in the paddock with Eva today. The sun was shining, it wasn't too windy and well above freezing. Eva was really good - we did some recall training with her and even when she was distracted she responded to a whistle. She's only woken up for dinner since we got back. We've had a lazy afternoon reading and watching tv. Just off to get dinner.

Good morning, Nanto. It's too early for me to fancy eggs and bacon - but I'd enjoy them later. I'm not surprised you didn't feel like doing much when you got back from shopping. I think the less we go out the more tiring it is, especially with all the restrictions.
It's raining here as well - and still not properly light. I'll try and get more cards done today. Not sure what else yet.
Have a good Sunday everyone. xx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning ladies ,
Up early again , I woke in pain i had rolled over on my bad arm and shoulder in my sleep the pain woke me so now in agony again
Did a few jobs and then had a shower ,
B cleaning the oven so I cant get anything done in the kitchen as im in the way so I am told ,
Its another grey day not raining but wet , one of those days when I don't think it will get light .
B got all his Mams jobs done yesterday and her other sofa arrived so for once she is happy , she even sent me a box of chocolates to cheer me up ,
To say I was shocked is a understatement
Having the car tyres checked today before any bad weather sets in , appointment at 10 shouldn't take long .
How are we all this morning ?

Oma, when my shoulder hurt I made a long cushion and slept with it near by back so I couldn't turn over in my sleep. In fact, I still have the cushion.
I took my car for the winter check the other day, all good but didn't expect anything else. I haven't used it as much this year.
It is lovely and sunny so will go for a bike ride, my poor bike needs a clean with the roads being wet and dirty! Your MIL must be pleased with you, a box of chocolates!!

Good morning dear ladies
I hope the pain eases as the day goes on Oma. Chocs from MIL Wow!!
Good that your car passed Lizzie.
DD3 is coming over today. The forecast gets worse as the day goes on so she is coming mid morning. There is no way she will come into the conservatory with doors and windows open. She's too much of a rule obeyer. We will be outside. I will be wearing my warmest clothes and hope the rain holds of!!
No other plans today apart from putting all the Christmas decorations boxes and bags back into the loft. I would normally opt for just leaving them in one of the bedrooms, but GD and GS2 are staying over next Friday, so we need both spare bedrooms.
Happy Sunday everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Oma - I'm sorry your shoulder is more painful. Please try and rest it today! Wow, your MIL must be so pleased with everything. Enjoy every one of those chocs. xx
Gem - Wrap up warm to sit outside - it's worse when it's wet. But it will be lovely to see your DD3 for a chat.
