Plant - yes, their beds are always so comfy, and I love having a choice of pillows. I like a very soft pillow, preferably feather, but most hotels seem to think people want to sleep sitting up! But the soft Premier Inn ones are fine.

I feel a fraud saying I was feeling under the weather! Yes, I did feel awful yesterday, but I think it was a combination of things ganging up on me, and although I'm very tired tonight after a hectic day I don't feel like I did yesterday.

Gem - well done on getting your friends' hot tub packed away. It's not a job to leave until the day before they move house!

Enfys - I'm sure your DS will feel better for having his tonsils out if they're giving him so much trouble.

I wouldn't have had time for gardening today, but although it's been nice the grass is still too wet to cut, but is growing fast. I'll have to try and get a few jobs done tomorrow.

We've had a nice day today with both lots of family calling in to see OH for his birthday and also celebrating DS2 and DIL2's wedding anniversary. Food worked out fine (I didn't really know who was coming when!) and there's enough left over for us for dinner tomorrow - bonus! It was lovely to see the girls - I only seem to see them for a few minutes at a time at the moment, and Eva had a lovely time with Cooper. Bailey stayed at home with the GSs - he's not the best traveller!

Glamm - I like white or silver cars as well. They seem to look cleaner for longer. I'm not sure why our current cars are bright red and a funny dark brown though. LOL I hope your plants arrive soon. We've got lavender by the front door - it's lovely when it's in flower and looks neat and tidy all year round.

Lizzie - the car insurance system sounds a bit like Pay as You Go for mobile phones - what a good idea.

Morning ladies. I expected it to be raining this morning. Thats why we got the garden done yesterday.
      As of yet,its dry.

Hubby taking his dad to the supermarket this morning, so i'm going to clean the washer and dishwasher while he's out.
Not that i couldn't have done it when he is in.
Then will see how the rest of the day pans out. Have a good day everyone.

        Good morning all.

How lovely to have some family time Daisy, and left overs for tonight!
        .
It's a dull day here but no rain at the moment.
This afternoon is my afternoon at the library. This evening the WhatsApp quiz with friends.
Sainsbury's delivery due between 10 and 11 this morning.
I plan to make some soup this morning and maybe get tonight's meal prepared.

        Have good Monday everyone.

Good morning everyone. What a pretty graphic, Nanto - a good start to the working week.

We've got a watery sun, but I hope it stays dry so I can get the lawn cut this afternoon. No other plans apart from a bit of washing, and perhaps run the sucky up thing round - everywhere is covered in dog hair!

Gem - yes, it was lovely to see most of the family. We did miss not seeing the GSs, though. Enjoy your afternoon at the library, and your quizz evening tonight. What kind of soup are you making?

Nanto - it's funny, but there are some jobs I leave until OH is out. Usually because I want to get them done in one go without leaving off for chats, coffee, etc.

          Have a good Monday, everyone.

Daisy, I think it will be vegetable soup. There are a couple of parsnips in the fridge which I bought last week and haven't used. I will throw a few other things in that I find, and some of our tomatoes.
Oma, I have messaged C but not heard back yet. She forgot potatoes on their supermarket order so I put them on ours, arriving today. I will drop them on their doorstep.
              I hope they are OK.

After a glorious day yesterday it's grey and gloomy today. This seems to be the pattern at the moment! Will probably rain at some point too!

DD is working from here and will stay overnight. Going to make a curry for dinner.

Got my Art class tonight. Must remember to wear warm clothes because the windows and door have to stay open. It was a bit on the chilly side last week.

Got a a wash on and ironing waiting patiently, otherwise I don't know what the day will bring.

Hope those waiting for test results get good news and anyone feeling under the weather soon feels better.

Have a good day ladies x

No rain here yet, no sun or wind. I struggled yesterday turning up GD2's jeans, broke a needle and as yet I haven't been able to fit a new one, brain not as agile as it once was. Bed changing day for me today, that's a struggle for me now.

B's meals always sound yummy Oma. I eat very little meat these days. I am having smoked mackerel kedgeree today.

Gemini, time for soup making again, still got some in the freezer. My favourite is butternut squash. Hope you win the quiz tonight.

Daisy, sounds like a lovely family day yesterday, lovely birthday for your OH. Take time to relax today.

I’ve managed to get the grass cut, just as I finished it started to rain. It wasn’t all that long but the green bin is tomorrow.

DD’s friend has just collected the things I had sorted out for her to go to the refugee camp in Syria. She was so pleased, it has gone to a good home.

I agree about getting jobs done when hubby is out.
He's another that will say are we having a cuppa,or offers to help.
Some jobs i like to do on my own. After cleaning the washer and dishwasher,i did the fridge and microwave.
It wouldn't have been fair to leave them out, although microwave gets wiped out every day.
Didn't clean the oven, that was only done t'other day.

Nanto - my domestic appliances are jealous! We do run a cleaning programme through the dishwasher and washing machine once a month, but other things only get done on a 'need to' basis.

Enfys - good to know that everything has gone to a good home.

Plant - I think we all have 'off' days when our brains feel foggy. It's a good time to relax and take a break from chores. Sewing jeans hems must be hard - I think I would have to settle for the frayed look.

WeeGranny - how lovely to have your DD around, even if she is working. How was the curry? Gosh, it will be chilly at your art class, but great that it's running. I still haven't found one. My friend M goes to a Tai Chi class at the local spa, and the instructor won't do it indoors. Last week the instructor worked outside the open door in pouring rain and the rest of the class worked inside!

Dog training classes resume tomorrow - having a door open isn't an option and the only windows are tiny ones very high up which I certainly couldn't reach even with the long pole provided!

We managed to take Eva up to the paddock before it rained. It was just starting as we got back so I cut the lawn immediately while OH made some lunch. I was glad I did because it's rained all afternoon!

Well done to the ladies who managed to get the grass cut. Glad i did ours yesterday.
We had a couple of very light showers earlier this morning. Spotting a bit now.

Nanto - it's beginning to feel very much like winter's on the way!

Good morning. Chilly out there, but i can see some bright sky in the distance.
Daisy, winter will be here before we know it.

Hello Nanto, your smiley friend and all who follow.

Today we have had a lovely sunrise with the sun still rim-lighting the clouds. Very pretty, but I think the forecast is for rain! Nanto - I treasure every sunny day at this time of year.

No plans for us today, except that dog training resumes tonight. There will be changes I'm sure, and only 4 dogs instead of the usually 8-10 in Eva's class, so I'm glad we've got a place. It will be interesting to see how much both of us have forgotten in the last 6 months.

I hope everyone is feeling ok - lots of new restrictions to worry about!
