Glamm - I'm pleased you've got your little car. Yes, perhaps a refresher lesson is a good idea, also knowing what all the switches and knobs do! When I drove my car one chilly morning recently I couldn't remember where the seat heaters were. I'd rather use those than the proper heater if possible, but I ended up putting the proper heater on!

Waxed jackets are good - they keep the wind out (much needed on New Brighton prom, I should think!) and mine is roomy enough to have a good cosy layer underneath! I hope your Hollyhocks turn up soon.

Oma - what a horrible day. The people in that car were lucky to escape uninjured. I've just got all Eva's stuff ready for tonight's class and you can see she's trying to work out what's happening. Yes, the sale did finally go through last week - not without a lot of traumas, though!

Enfys - good luck with the stitching. It certainly sounds like a labour of love.

Plant - I'm sure Aqua will be ok, but how annoying that your instructor's regular slot has been given away. Poor Mr Karcher - he needs a good long holiday to get over all that hard work.

Gem - well done on your second place in the quiz! I always wish I could text as fast as I can type!

It would be sad for your sister and you, Oma.
Daisy, half the fun of our quizzes is the hilarious mistakes with everyone trying so hard to get the correct answer first!

Hopefully third time lucky for DD1, they have sold the house for the third time, the second buyer disappearing without trace soon after putting in her offer!

Good morning Nan2, good morning ladies.

Sunny here too but many dark clouds looming!

I am waiting to hear from my friend C when another prescription is ready for P. It will be at Tesco and I will collect it and drop it off. It's anti sickness meds so I hope they work. As I said in YEO he is improving now, and although C also tested positive she hasn't got it as badly.

Tonight I am eating out with my 2 ex work colleagues. This will be only the second time since the start of lockdown. We are going to an out of town restaurant with parking. I didn't fancy going into town and walking from the car park. We are booked for 7pm, as everywhere closes at 10 now.

            Have a good day everyone.

                    Good morning, one and all.

It’s bright but chilly here, but the forecast this morning said most of us should get some dry weather during the coming week. 👍.

I’ll catch up properly later. It’s noisy and a bit chaotic here at the moment. Cooper thinks if he barks loudly enough at the strange man in the garden he’ll go away. He will when he’s finished cleaning the windows. Adding insult to injury, Eva is out in the garden- she loves the window cleaner - playing with Cooper’s favourite toy! 😁

That is adding insult to injury Daisy, Cooper watching Eva playing with his favourite toy.

Zoom meeting went well, this was just a practise one, a friend is coming here next week to join in one.

I have to go out soon to the bank and pick up some milk and eggs, fortunately it is fine atm. GGD here today so looking forward to seeing her.

                        Chaos Daisy!

Oma C says she's OK apart from her cough having got worse. I am taking some cough mixture over. P is getting better, but neither have eaten much at all.

Lovely and sunny here, we have been doing some garden tidying. OH is still out there.

When B came back from having bloods done we popped to Aldi,
as we were going round our Elderly neighbours came in so i know we not supposed to but we brought them home ,
I couldnt see them walking home with bags of shopping .

Its only a 4 minute walk but when your in your 80's those 4 minutes must feel like hours ,
We all kept our masks on and opened the car windows

So pleased to hear your friends are getting better Gem. Lovely sunny day here today.

Ive been busy again this morning, took everyone off the shelves in the lounge and gave it all a good dust and rearranged things. Bedroom dusted and hoovered. A friends hubby came round to look at a little crack in the rendering over the bay window. I thought I’d get someone in to look at it but he’s said he will fill the crack in and repaint it and it should last a while longer, so kind of him and saves me a job.

Popping over to my neighbour for a cup of tea this afternoon. I’m not looking forward to it to be honest, I’m still very wary of going into other people’s homes but we will keep our distance and I’ll make sure to wash my hands when I get home. She’s like me and doesn’t go far and has no family nearby so I think she gets very lonely.

Have a good day everyone. 🌞

Aww that's a nice thing to say Oma, but they would do the same for us. They are good friends
I delivered the two lots of medicine, and some flowers and a card to cheer them up. I just leave things on the doorstep and go back to the car.
I also bought some Halloween tableware while I was in Tesco.

That was kind of you to give the neighbours a lift. As you say with masks on and windows open it would be safe.
I will be giving my friend a lift tonight, 5 minutes down the road to the restaurant. She has had a couple of unexplained blackouts (one a year or more ago and one recently) They are still investigating and until they know whats causing it she hasn't to drive. Her OH is working tonight, so I will pick her up and drop her home. I told her we must wear masks as I have been made even more cautious by our friends C and P catching covid.

Enfys, it will do you good to go to your neighbour's, and her too. As you say keeping distant and hand washing is what we need to do.
