Gem - I'd got it into my head that tomorrow was your DD3's big day! Many congratulations to her and your new SIL. I wish them a long and happy life together. I'm so pleased they were able to get some nice photos for you all to share. xxx
Nanto - did you have a good time with DS and GD2?
Oma - I hope you get a good night tonight! xx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Good morning ladies.
Yes Nan2, I just heard about the Trumps just now on the radio while I was making our morning tea. Apparently he is very dismissive about masks and they are hardly worn around the White House.
Thanks for the good wishes for DD3 everyone. They had a very nice day and were so lucky with the weather.
This morning I must go to their house to feed their cat again. We gave her her tea last night. They have been away for two nights, back later today.
School run for GD and GS2 later. On the way I will call in to the care home to pick up two library audio books I took for mum which are now due back.
Have a good Friday everyone.
I wish Mimi would pop up. I hope she is OK. We haven't seen her here for four weeks now and she hasn't picked up her birthday ecard from GransRus.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning ladies.
Nanto - Alex is already here down on the south coast. He/she is very wet and windy! I'm glad I cut the lawn yesterday. Glad you enjoyed your time with DS1 and GD2.
Gem - I hope it's not this wet when you do the school run. I'm so glad your DDs and new SIL had a lovely day. I hope Mimi is ok, too - Mimi if you are looking in, sending you love and best wishes.
I'm meeting up with 3 neighbours for a coffee this morning - unless we have to cancel because it's too flooded to get into the village! It seems silly that we have to go separately, but we do - we can all see each other's houses from our own house. Still, it will be nice to have a change of scene and I don't suppose the wine bar will be busy on a day like today.

Good morning. Had a difficult week, feeling very down and emotional, not sure what triggered it off but feeling a little bit more positive this morning.
i guess I’ll get days like that.
Very wet and windy here this morning although it doesn’t feel cold. Going over to DDs later for coffee, she invited me out for breakfast but I didn’t wake up until gone 8.30 so just having a lazy morning.
Had my flu jab yesterday, arm a little bit achey but otherwise ok. I had it done at the chemist which is just up the road so was there and back in 5 minutes.
Had a text from DGD, she is enjoying her new job, everyone very friendly, so far so good.

Enfys, you are doing so well at keeping positive and keeping busy. You can't help the sadness and down times coming through at times, it happens. Early days, be kind to yourself xx
Oma, OH is having a massage this morning. A sports massage (one of DD2's friends who has her own business) so I don't know that she will come back relaxed! She's going away for two days golf on Sunday, so no golf until then.
No wonder you are so cross about your nephew.
Daisy I hope you enjoy your get together and all get back safely.
No sign of any storms here, just dull and cloudy day, although the sun did break through when I was driving back from DD's house.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Bit late dropping in, had an Oma night last night and went into a deep sleep when it was time to get up. Nothing urgent to do just shopping and I can do that anytime. Very blustery here, not looking forward to going out.
Enfys, so sorry to hear you have had a sad week, as Oma said it is very early days. You are bound to have these times when the grief overtakes you. Sending love and hugs.
Daisy enjoy your change of scene, lovely to have a meet up with friends.
What can you do about people like your nephew in law Oma, there are too many people like him around. Someone ought to report him. what does your niece think?
Sorry to hear about Trump and his wife, also his Aid but he is another one who will not admit there is a virus in spite of all the deaths they have had in the USA.
Ha Ho must get on and face the world, will pop back later. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Morning / afternoon all.
Just battled back through the wind from my work!
Enfys I understand how you’re feeling. I’m the same sometimes and I’m further on than you. Sending love and (( Hugs)).We’re told it’s natural but that doesn’t make it any easier does it?
Oma your nephew in law should certainly be reported if he has a big meet up. Even if he believes in the conspiracy theory he should respect the rules of the majority.
Yesterday I rang the builders to confirm the start day for the new roof. All is on course for a start on Monday, with the scaffolding being put up over the weekend by another company.Coincidentally someone else in the road has been having their roof replaced this week. The weather has held them up somewhat so I’m hoping this current storm will be long gone by Monday.
Hope the rest of your day goes well and if you’re in the storm zone take extra care.
