After spending the morning ironing and doing various bits and bobs and the afternoon gardening I'm ready for bed. We did sit in the garden just before dinner with a glass of wine - the sun had been out all afternoon and it was quite pleasant. I feel I have to cherish these days now with September approaching! Then I cooked dinner and have just portioned up a load of dog food. Just got to make the bed up now before I hit the pillow.

Plant - I hope the weather picked up for you as well.

Night, night everyone - chat tomorrow. xx

Good morning Nan2, and all your Disney friends Good morning ladies.

Plant . I hope yesterday was a lovely day.
OH will be setting off in an hour or so for her golfing weekend. It's not raining thank goodness but I imagine the course will be soggy.
I am going to see Jungle Cruise this afternoon. GS1 and I fancied it and when we realised it was a 12 I said I would go on his behalf and report back!

          Have a good Sunday everyone

Good morning, very humid here, rain forecast, it was last night but we only had one shower. I have been to the shop for veg etc as my fridge was empty.

I hope to go to DS1 later to take a few things, in the car!

            Enjoy the film Gem.

Lizzie are you all sorted and back to normal now ? xx

I was in bed by 9.30 last night after my day with the family I am not used to it now ,
I slept till 3am got up watched some TV then went back at 5 and slept till 7 and to be honest if I hadn't needed the loo I may have slept more

We did have a lovely time though , My Nephew in law put up a huge Gazebo and although damp it was warm so we sat under that ,

I got to meet my Great Nephew Archie who has just gone 1 for the first time , he is my Brothers youngest grandson the next one is 16 so he is the baby amongst all the adults and adored by them all .

We all raised a toast to my Brother and there were many tears but we had good memories also and as it was my SIL's 72nd Birthday lots to celebrate with her too .

We off to National Glass centre this morning for Coffee its by the beach so weather permitting we may walk along the prom or sit in the car and watch the waves if the tide is in .

Its not a bad morning a little dull and damp but warm ,

Towels in the wash , shower room cleaned and floors washed so nothing that cant wait .

Have a good day ladies I will pop back later

Oma, I am sorted now, back to normal. It would be a sad and happy day for you yesterday. Enjoy the watching of the waves, it was nice to cycle along the water on Friday. I am certainly going back there, maybe a couple of days in October.

Oma - no wonder you were tired after your lovely day with your family. Little Archie sounds adorable, so no wonder he got lots of attention. I'm sure there were many tears and much laughter - good memories are a great healer. I hope your SIL didn't have to blow out 72 candles, though. Aren't gazebos wonderful for our typical British summers? DS1 and DIL have got a 'event tent' and it's been well used this summer!

I've not heard of the National Glass Centre, but it sounds interesting. Have a lovely day.

Lizzie - it's quite humid here as well. I'm sure DS1 and family will be delighted to see you, with or without goodies. x

Gem - what a pity GS1 can't go to the cinema with you. I haven't heard of the film, but from the title it sounds like something that is suitable for under 12s. I hope S's golf week-end goes well and the course isn't too soggy to play. Have you got plans for tomorrow as well?

Nanto - it looks like party-time at your place today. I hope you haven't got to cook dinner for all those characters.

I'm going to get some more ironing done this morning. Then this afternoon I'm going to start sorting out pots in the garden. I'll have to be ruthless with some of them. And I might try and make some more space in my little shed.

Whatever you're doing today, have a good Sunday, everyone. xx

That sounds a lovely but emotional day Oma. I bet that little boy is the apple of everyone'e eye
                    Lizzie, it's humid here too.
Daisy, the film is loosely based on the Disney Jungle Cruise ride, so it's a shame children can't go. I will be able to decide what makes it a 12 rating, and if I think its suitable I'm sure DD and SIL will let him watch it once it's on Netflix and the like. I'm visiting my mum tomorrow afternoon.

A lovely photo Oma, I have just sold GD2 old bike, a man came with his daughter, it was so sweet, the girl didn't know what they had come for, the father told her they were going to pick something up, she had no idea what, her face was a picture when she saw it!!

Gem - I remember that Disney ride. It was lovely and don't remember anything scary.

Oma - what a lovely photo if little Archie and the birthday girl, who certainly can't be the age she claims! Glass blowing looks very difficult and dangerous, but fascinating to watch as it wobbles about.

Nanto - I ordered some jewellery-making bits and some chicken wire for a dried flower arrangement on Friday and both parcels came yesterday. The chicken wire also included some neat little wire snippers and a pair of very substantial gloves, which I hadn't realised. P&P was free as well. I hope you're as pleased with your new cushion covers for you newly decorated living room.

Lizzie - that girl must have been over the moon with your GD2's bike. How lovely.

This morning I've tried to arrange the artificial flowers I bought a while ago into a tall vase that OH made from monkey puzzle wood. I'm not totally happy with it yet, but it's getting there. I'll take a photo later.

Off to do some gardening now.
