Good morning, the leg has eased and I have brought my exercise bike up here, yet again, I will watch Netlix whilst I am using it. I have a hand roller/massage stick and it does help a little.

Daisy, I can remember when my father had kidney stones, he was admitted to the hospital at the time and was in so much pain, many, many years ago!

Gem, I hope you have had a good time with the grandchildren and that the weather is better than it is here for you to sit out and read, it is damp and drizzly here.

I am sorting playlists out on Spotify.

Good morning everyone. It's dull but dry at the moment.

Nanto - I need to do some gardening today as well if it stays dry.

Gem - escape to the garden sounds good for this afternoon. It's great if you are a sport fan, but not for non-sporty people like me. A neighbour of mine loves sport and she has what sounds like a dream job which entails working at major sporting events all over the country. She's got teams of people at both Wembley and Wimbledon today - but she won't get to see anything!

I think a lot of people having these eye injections are fine afterwards but OH has bruises all round his eye socket, and his eye is red, sore and scratchy for a couple of days. He even got up in the night for paracetamol last night which is unusual. So, he definitely wouldn't be fit for the party today, and he doesn't even feel up to watching the football with anyone.

Oma - it's good to hear GS is feeling better, and hopefully B's throat will improve soon. Sending him a 'get better' hug. xx

DIL's father (the one with possible kidney stones) was kept in hospital last night. I haven't heard how he is this morning, but hope he's ok.He's an incredibly fit 82 year old and won't find it easy to be feeling so poorly.

Very quiet here ATM, some of the family including the little ones have gone to Sennen. We have dull weather today but we are informed by the owner that the rest of the week is forecast fine. This is an enormous house, it used to be a B&B so every bedroom has a bathroom. We have a lovely view of the sea, GGS ver y frustrated, he wants to go to the beach. Hope to meet up with DS and DIL they are not far away. We have an enormous shop arriving later to keep us going for a few days, with 9 adults and 2 children that is a lot of food and drink. DD has 6 tickets for the Minnack theatre but it is in competition with the football. As it is an open air Theatre she is hoping it will be cancelled if the rain continues.

Daisy I hope your OH's eye is feeling more comfortable today, enough for him to enjoy the football later.

Oma, poor B that is very painful for him, pleased to hear GS is feeling a bit better. I love the look of your spare bedroom.

i am am sure I have missed some posts, keep safe everyone. Best Wishes from Porthcurno in Cornwall.

Oma, good to hear J is feeling a bit better.

Daisy, hope OH is a bit better this morning.
Hope DIL's dad is ok. Shame about the party being postponed.
Hope everyne is ok when it is rescheduled.

Garden duties have been cancelled for today.
We were sat in the garden with a cuppa before we started.
DS1 called, so we were sat talking for a good hour.
Just as he left, an old friend who used to live round the corner, pulled up.
He worked at the same place as hubby. Sat in the garden with tea, and we were chatting for ages.
Met his wife, but we didn't know he had got married again.
His first wife, who was an alcholic died while they were going throgh a divorce.
Wife number 2 died from cancer. They had been married about 3 years.
Don't take this the wrong way, but after they had gone, hubby said lets hope this wife lives a bit longer.

Forgot to say,it clouded over and looked very iffy,so we will do the garden tomorrow, weather permitting.

Plant, lovely to hear from you in Cornwall! I really hope the weather improves. So nice to all be together though
Poor OH Daisy. We all know how sore a sore eye can be.
I hope a day of rest and the antibiotics make B feel better Oma. Good to hear GS is improving!
Nan2, well he certainly has had no luck with wives so far poor man, so yes let's hope!

Well the lovely sunny morning turned into clouding over then a sudden downpour half an hour ago!
We had breakfast in the garden, with the children. Then when DD and SIL2 came for them SIL1 also turned up with DD's birthday present. We all had a lovely chat over coffee in the garden. So, we have enjoyed good weather today, but not long enough for my planned afternoon of reading in the garden!

                Our plans changed again.
After we had eaten earlier, all the dark clouds had gone.
Both of us were niggled because we hadn't got the garden done.
So we have got it done,as i heard heavy showers were forecast for tomorrow.

I've just had a lovely refreshing shower.

Thank you all for your concerns for OH and his poorly eye. It still looks a bit puffy and slightly bruised, but it will go better over the next few days. DIL1's dad is still in hospital. He's feeling better after IV fluids and antibiotics, but they are doing an MRI scan tomorrow to rule out any nasties.

Plant - I hope the holiday let owner is right and you get good weather for the rest of the week. I can imagine GGS being keen to get down to the beach, bless him. It's lovely the way your family have holidays together. What happened about the Minnack Theatre? I've never been but I'm sure it would be magical on a balmy summer's evening.

Nanto - well done on getting your gardening done. I didn't manage it! I'm still tired from our recent bout of socialising and have had a fairly lazy day. I hope your OH is right about your friend's new wife- he's had a tough time losing two wives like that.

Gem - I'm glad you managed to enjoy part of the day in the garden. I took my Kindle up to the bedroom and lay on the bed reading for a while (I might have had a little nana nap as well!).

It started raining just before 10 last night,in fact the heavens opened.
Rained most of the night, and still at it now.

Plant,if you are looking in,hope the weather is kinder for you.

Some ironing to do,so will test out my new iron. Not had it out of the box yet and i've had it since Saturday.

Bad luck for England last night.

                      Morning Nanto / Ladies ,

                      Dull but warm here ,
I have Dentist this morning , I know I need at least 3 fillings might have to go back for those as today is just a check up ,

Didn't watch any football last night , sat with my earphones on and read my book ,
I did watch during the night the mindless morons kicking those poor Italian lads , they said one getting kicked in the head was only 14 , Grown men in there 30-40 and older , what would they have said if it was one of their sons or grandsons getting kicked , Shocking behaviour ,
                      Its a damn game that's all .

Right that's my rant over , hope everyone has a good day xxx

                          Good Monday morning everyone.

Nanto - it rained heavily here as well I think. My beautiful Annabelle Hydrangea is in full flower and the rain has dashed all her lovely huge flowers down. I've just been out and gently shaken some of the water off, but she's looking very sorry for herself.

Oma - I haven't seen any news yet today, but that is disgusting behaviour, as is the racist abuse of some of the players. Whatever happened to sportsmanship, or even just plain human decency.

I really must get cracking with some chores today. I've got piles of washing to do but it won't dry outside at the moment! Summer? What a hope - maybe it's better for Plant and her family down in Cornwall.

I hope everyone is ok. I'm going to have a shower, get dressed and take Eva out then start on .... well, it might be coffee time by then!!

Nanto - I agree. It's a sad sign of the times.

                              Good morning everyone.

                              Happy iron testing Nan2!
It was a shame about England and I felt so sorry for Marcus Rashford when his shot at the goal went wrong.
I agree about the behaviour though Oma, it's all wrong. You would think the world would have learned something after all we have been through this last year or so. How is B today?
It's so disappointing when blooms are ruined by downpours Daisy.

Dull here with overnight rain. The forecast here is much better for the rest of the week so I hope it is in Cornwall too.
More rain is forecast today, which is why I changed the lunchdate with my friend until later in the week. I'm not sitting in the wet now we are allowed inside, she won't go inside, so this was a good compromise. She won't go at all after 19th, so this week it is
Nothing much planned for today. I had an email telling me my library book is due back today, so I will pop in and return that rather than take it with me on Wednesday.
We have a new WhatsApp quiz group starting tonight. Some on the other group, including OH, have fallen by the wayside and we have 3 new people, so have a new Quizzers group just for the quizzes.
I tidied some drawers yesterday afternoon, so may continue with that today.

I hope we all have a good and healthy week.
