Just been next door, GC stayed overnight so their parents could go out for GS1's birthday. To say they all looked shell shocked is an understatement. Apart from the children, non of them are dressed. Papa is playing camps with GGS on the bed and there is another camp of cushions and blankets in the SR. GGD has done 3 poos since she got up and she was playing the piano noisily. I came back into my quiet abode.

Oma, so sorry to hear your back is bad as a result of turning over in bed, try and rest it today and keep out of B's way. Chocs from Mil, well I never! So pleased she liked her sofa, hope it lasts.

Shame you cannot see your DD3 out of the cold Gemini.

It has poured down all day and looks set in. Wonder of wonders DD3 accepted that our ventilation and distancing were suitable, and sat in the conservatory, we in the dining room! This meant we had a good couple of hours chat, which we all enjoyed

I can just picture the shell shocked grandparents Plant!

I had no time to post yesterday it was such a busy day,DD arrived early and we went to our local shopping centre she had run out of wrapping paper and her son's partner (my GGCs) mummy asked her to buy dressing gowns for the children and DD was quite put out as she has already spent a small fortune on them I told her to tell her she has already wrapped their presents so too late to make requests but DD felt she had to buy them good job we have a very reasonable x-M&S store close by.
I had my nails done all Christmasy red with gold tips then DD and I met my friend Margaret to pass on cards,we then went into Weatherspoons for lunch (all socially correct) and enjoyed the managers special of Ckicken Korma with rice/Nann Bread & popadoms all for £3.99 it was the best Korma I have had for a long while.
Oma I do hope your shoulder is less painful mine has given me no respite at all the pain killers are useless I have decided to try and see the specialist again after New Year it will be 6yrs this June since I had my fall.
The weather here has been very windy and my lights on the outside tree need re-attaching as they have fallen to one side so when I have changed my bed I am off to re-attach them

Your nails sound lovely and festive Glamma
A bit of a cheek about the dressing gowns want it? She could have told your DD earlier than this if she wanted them as presents for the children.

Plant - I can just picture the chaos next door. My goodness, little GGD is a busy girl isn't she! Hopefully her piano playing will become more tuneful as she gets older.

Gem - well done to DD3 for making a sensible decision about using the conservatory and the dining room. It's rained here most of the day as well. A dar, dreary day.

Glamm - your nails sounds very festive - how lovely. Your GGCs mummy is a bit naughty making late requests like that for presents, but I expect your DD wants to keep things on an even keel. I've bought dressing gowns from M&S for both my GSs, and they are lovely and soft and cosy - they're grown up sizes though! I really think the specialist should be able to find something to ease the pain of your shoulder. Six years is a long time to be suffering with it. xx

By the way - how are you getting on with your car? Are you still pleased with it?

Years ago, we often went to a Weatherspoons in London (OH was working there) and the manager's special chicken Korma was always my favourite!

Good morning Daisy and everyone else.

A busy day for me, in fact the whole week seems quite busy!
This morning is Sainsbury's Click and Collect for us, plus collecting the cat's medicine from the vet.
Library all afternoon, quiz at 8. Not my turn to set it though, so it's just a matter of making sure we have eaten by then and my phone is charged.

I hope everyone has a better week.

                          Good Moaning!
Quite bright here, although squelchy underfoot. I haven’t been far since last week, so I need to go for a long walk. I have to wait until the Dr. has rung re. bone density scan of last week, then it’s the open road for me! (I sound like a tramp or Toad of Toad Hall).
We had a lovely surprise yesterday, DD2 and boys paid a flying visit. Even though we kept well apart with patio doors open it was so much nicer to see them in person.
Nothing much exciting here this week, not sure whether that’s good or bad! I must get busy with the decorations, it won’t be much though.
                          Have a good day ladies.

Hi Grauntie, hope the bone density is okay, enjoy your walk.

Oma, that sounds like an enjoyable trip out for you, enjoy.

I have an appointment with the dentist this afternoon. GD1 wants me to go to JL to look at cutlery, I offered to buy them some but not today.

Plant a nice present , Cutlery can be expensive when your starting up .

Went to The Farm shop/Gift shop , they didn't have the globes but did get DD a lovely gift ,
She has a lot of Wrendale stuff mostly what we have bought for her that she has asked for

Came across a herb planter set , 3 small metal buckets by them to stand on kitchen windowsill to plant herbs in , , Not the same as a Globe but pretty none the less .

I did come home with another two Nut cracker soldiers , I promised myself I wasn't buying anymore but couldn't resist
