Plant you have used muscles you haven’t used in a while you need to rest them today ,

I went upstairs to do ironing that led to more than just a dusting of bedrooms , I gave them a thorough clean then the bathroom , took the drain out of the floor and cleaned that then the extractor fan cover off

Well ladies I must confess it was deplorable the dust was shocking talk about a slovenly housewife I was ashamed of myself ,
To be honest I can’t remember the last time I cleaned it , I can’t remember if I did it in April when we painted or not , it’s not something I think about , ( Hanging my head in shame )

B said I’m all fur coat and no knickers 😂😂😂

Its started to rain hope it’s dry down York so Gem gets to visit Mum .

Just put some cream on my scar for some reason it’s quite sore today , I think my collar has been rubbing it .

Grauntie - how lovely to be having a furry head to fondle again - I'm sure he/she won't want to go home!

I know why I love you so much. The ironing is on its way - express delivery. I hope it's a long play.

When I was working I used to use ironing time for thinking - planning lessons, resources etc. Sadly the ironing didn't retire when I did.


Oma - I sympathise with the snotty nose (Storm's not B's). Today I found myself saying to Eva "don't wipe your face on the armchair" after she'd just had a meaty bone! I was going to say that my pet hate is cleaning the shower tray drain, but I've got so many other pet hates I'll just say housework is my pet hate.

Plant - I hope you have had an easy day today, and I hope Grauntie's oily rag was calming, relaxing scented oils, not WD40.

Gem - luxuriating in a bubble bath while listening to the Archers should be soothing and relaxing, not a flurry of activity. Flurries are what Oma does every day around the house. Have a lovely evening with DD3 and partner.

Nanto - well done on getting the washing in before it got wet again.

Apart from spending a couple of hours portioning up dog food this morning I haven't done much. But still tired and not feeling motivated to get jobs done. Hey ho, I'm sure they will all wait for me.

Oma, if OH sat on the floor he’d never get up again! 😂😂😂 He has ear drops just now, so I have been fondling his ears to send the drops on their way. 😁
Re Plant’s oily rag, it could easily be lawn mower oil. Very lubricating. If you would like the same Daisy I’m sure I can find another.
I’m heartily fed up with golf on the tv.
Now it’s cricket.

It's dark and dreary here this morning - I don't think the forecast is great for us today. I hope this doesn't mean the end of summer already.

I have plenty of choices on how to occupy today - but don't fancy any of them. I'll see how it goes.

Sun is out after a very wet night ,

went up to Aldi for them opening only needed two things so in and out in a flash ,

Everything is done so nothing for me to do today , I’m going to try finish my book , I haven’t picked it up for days .

We are out to our local Turkish restaurant for tea , managed to book a table for 5.30 ,
now they don’t have as many tables it’s really hard to get a slot as it’s so popular .

How are we all ? How are family and OH’s ?

Morning ladies! Bright and sunny here at the moment, but for how long? Torrential rain last night.

The swallows were gathering on the telephone wires in Orford last week. A sure sign Autumn is on its way.

No idea what is on the cards for today. Finding it difficult to get motivated after a a week away! Whatever you're up to,have a good day ladies x

Apart from that I have a lot of paperwork, letters and emails to write . mostly regarding my mum, and I want to cancel her phone too. I will be in my office at the dining room table

Turkish meal sounds good Oma, never been to one, what sort of food do they do?

It is quite bright here Daisy very little wind and warm, sunroom for me this afternoon methinks. GD1 (the pregnant one) is not feeling too good today, tummy not right. I have persuaded her to phone in sick, she is relaxing on the sofa next door.

They do a lovely lamb and rice dish Plant , I’m not a big lamb lover but this Is done over coals and it really is lovely
lots of Falafel dishes that are delicious , One of my favourites is Falafel with apricot rice and wraps with sweat chillie dipping sauce

They have huge long barbecues they do all their meats on that give everything such a good taste .
