It’s coming in dark here Gem .
Im sitting looking at a moth on my wall I have tried 3 times to get it to put out of window but it keeps escaping from my hands , I don’t want to damage it’s delicate wings so I think I may have to use a jar and paper to capture it .

Daisy it will take a while to catch up but I’m sure it’s only dust

Very windy here this morning, showers are forecast, still very humid though. I have been to have my hair cut then cycled straight on to my allotment man for my veg etc. I try to go every Saturday morning and up to now I am managing to do that. I also got some cooking apples along the way, it was very windy cycling through the fields though, good thing I have my E bike or I would never have managed it.

I met a man near here, he went to the gym with us, his wife did as well but she suddenly died last year, sat in a chair and that was it, he looked really bad for months, natural of course, but just saw him and he was getting his caravan ready to go away for a fortnight with friends. All with caravans, he looks so much better and said he is trying to carry on with his life as that is what his wife would have wanted. He said when he gets back he will start going to the gym again.

We’ve just had four days away in Norfolk in the Motorhome. Had a mixture of weather but it was nice to see something different. Boris finally put Portugal on the airbridge list 4 days after I rearranged my September flights 😩🇵🇹!! So we’re going to Yorkshire for a few days and stopping in Nottinghamshire on the way back to, hopefully, catch up with BIL as we haven’t seen him this year due to Covid 19. We have flights already booked for November and I’m hoping we may get there before that depends on childcare demands!

Oh moths are my fear Oma (something Tizzy and I had in common) I don't want them killed though, so whoever is with me, if not afraid has to capture then and safely dismiss them
The wind blew away the rainclouds and it was sunny here. For 15 minutes. Now it is windy and cloudy and looking like more rain. I doubt my sun lounger will be out.

Good to hear that man is getting on with life Lizzie. As you say his wife would choose that for him.
Yorkshire is lovely Avo, but I'd rather be in Portugal!! How annoying the announcement coming in just after you changed your flights. At least you have November to look forward to.

They know where they are welcome. Now you will have to clean that shower, wash the towels and get that sucky-up thing out. You know you like it.

                Evening All.
Thank you all for your kind concern re. Himself. He is feeling much better now. I don’t mind admitting I was worried!
Clover, it’s good to hear from you. I did read about the Mumbles being badly hit by the wind. I hope your garden has survived unscathed.
I have trimmed the lavender to within an inch of it’s life, and deadheaded the agapanthus which has to go! There is so much of it and although I staked all the blooms it still collapsed all over the place. 🙄 I will have to find a plant that likes dry conditions to take it’s place.
We have yet another James Bond on the tv so I will take a trip to WordChums so watch out Plant and Enfys, 😆.

It looks a decent morning,so i've put a load of darks in to wash.

We got the gardening done yesterday,in between the showers.

Some ironing to do,then anything else that crops up.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Grauntie, it's good to hear your OH is lot better.

Fine here too Nan2, but the inevitable clouds about. OH is playing golf later this morning so I hope it keeps fine for them.
I am booked to see my mum this afternoon. This is of course weather dependant, as it has to be outside, not even a gazebo for shelter. As I wrote elsewhere yesterday, she was very upset on the phone yesterday and implied she only wanted to see me when she can see me inside (totally understandably) We don't know when that will be though. I will phone the home later to see how the land lies. Its a 25-30 minute drive each way and DD2 who lives near there is away this weekend, so it would be a wasted journey if I cant see mum.

I hope your Sunday goes well.

                      Good Sunday morning everyone.

It's not quite so windy here today, but it looks very autumnal, and I can feel the usual dread about winter being just round the corner.

Grauntie - I'm so glad your OH is feeling better, and you can't help worrying about him. It must have been very alarming. I've never managed to grow Agapanthus so I'm rather jealous that yours has outlived its welcome.

Gem - I do hope you can see your mum, and wouldn't it be nice if it could be indoors.

Oma - I can picture Storm shaking himself and hairs flying everywhere! Like one of those slo-mo videos of water droplets. He was wise not to disturb the moth. Eva watched one for ages yesterday as well, but then walked away. Perhaps the frozen sprat I bribed her with had something to do with it! I also think she's still tired from her 10 days with Cooper while we were at DS1's.

Nanto - I hope it stays dry for all that washing.

More of the same here for me today. I shall feel happier when I've finished my domestic goddess duties for another year!! I might just shut the door on the huge pile of ironing that's built up.

                        Good morning ladies
Nanto love the Graphic , you do make me smile

Gem I hope you can make the visit but yes wise to ring first , wouldn’t you think they would have least a gazebo,

Daisy it is like slow motion we watch the fur fly in the air then slowly settle , the worst part is he insists on sneezing on my glass coffee table , always cleaning snott marks off

It’s dull and damp here but oh so stuffy ,
ive had a good clean through this morning bucket of flash and duster have done the rounds , tops of doors washed etc ,
B has taken over hoovering for some reason but I’m not complaining saves me a job ,

We both had showers then I took the shower curtains down and put them in the wash ,
I hate shower curtains but as it’s a wet room and there are times he needs the shower seat in there we have to have curtains can’t put screen up ,

I will do bedrooms after lunch they take no doing 15 minute job only two of them

How are we all this morning ? Take care everyone have a nice lazy day xxx

Very lethargic is the answer to your question Oma, I rather overdid the chopping back of the rose yesterday, stomach muscles and legs feel a bit sore. Got up rather late very reluctantly. Had a nice take away with GD and her partner yesterday evening.

Love the graphic Nanto, good morning to you too.

I hope you can see your mum today Gemini and that she is feeling happier. The home will have to make other arrangements with the weather getting cooler.

Daisy, you must have a lot of catching up to do being away for 10days.

                            Good moaning each.
Oma, have you EVER had a lazy day? 😁 There seems to be a flurry of activity this morning. Maybe it’s to do with Nanto2’s singing bears.
Gem, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for your visit.
Daisy I’ll do your ironing. There’s nothing like a pile of ironing and a good play on the radio. My idea of heaven.
Plant, you need a good rub down with an oily rag by the sound of it.
We are looking after DD1’s dogs next weekend and I can’t wait. It’s been too long without a furry head to fondle. (OH is bald)
Plenty to do here today but whether or not I do any of it is debatable.
                            Have a good day ladies.

Grauntie, I love you, you make me laugh. When I had piles of ironing I used to do it listening to a good play on the radio.

Grauntie, if you call having a bath and listening to The Archers omnibus a flurry of activity, I have joined in!!
Plant, an easy day for you today please, by order of the management!
                                Leave the ironing Daisy.
I agree something good on the radio or TV makes ironing (more) bearable. Luckily my ironing isn't up to OH's standards, so she does 90% of it
Oma and Grauntie, you obviously enjoy having the granddogs round! I have 2 grandcats, I have to visit them at their homes

DD and SIL3 may call in this afternoon after a walk, if I or OH are back in time.
