Oma, I wouldn't be impressed either, my sister had the X ray on Monday, should have got the results from her doctor on Tuesday, yesterday afternoon my BIL spent a full 2 hours on the phone trying to get the doctor, when he finally did he was told to phone today as she hadn't had time to look at the results!

I had awful pain in my leg whilst in bed the other night, the next morning I thought?? it could be thrombosis, I mailed where I go for therapy and she told me what to look for but to phone the doctor, I did and the assistant told me if it got worse to be in touch, they actually phoned me back after discussing it with a doctor and I had to phone the next morning to tell them how it was, I did and she said the doctor wants to see it so I had an appointment one hour later. Panic for nothing, not thrombosis, it could be with the lipedema and the heat, it is a lot better now but pleased I got to see the doctor.

Good morning, after a lovely sunny day yesterday it is now pouring with rain and very windy. DD is taking me out to breakfast! That’s a first for me but she and her friend often do so they are treating me. She is determined to get me out and about.

DGD arrived home safely after a long flight late Wednesday evening. She has to quarantine but I’m afraid I did go and see her yesterday. Everyone had to have negative Covid tests before they could get on the plane, also they all had their temperature tested at the stop over and both planes were practically empty. There was no way I couldn’t see her after all this time. She is testing her temperature daily and being careful. This is the only risk I have taken and it was worth it.

I am trying to keep busy, actually went to the garden centre with DD. Very well organised there and I felt very safe, so nice to be out again. There is plenty to do at home, I have a man coming to cut all the hedges in a couple of weeks but am pottering in the garden when I can. I am getting lots of phone calls from friends and so many flowers, people have been very kind, I feel blessed. I can hear P saying, get on with your life now, and do just want you want and I am listening.

So pleased to see you are getting out and about Enfys, as you say, P would be saying get on with your life now! I can understand you wanting to go and see DGD and how nice that family and friends are being so helpful, that is what we need at times like that.

            Good morning ladies.

I didn't get much time to catch up on Chat yesterday, and then we had the gremlins on the forum in the evening so no one was posting! All OK now though and I am up to date.

            Welcome home Daisy.
Enfys I for one would have done what you did with your GD. You are doing the right thing for you by getting out, and as you say P would be so happy about it. Breakfast out is a very nice thing!
Nan2 it's a very breezy morning here too.
Oma, it must have helped MIL you sorting things out for the decorators as she was getting in a flap about it all! The nurse situation is ludicrous. Two phone calls is such a waste of everyone's time.
Lizzie, better to panic and see someone about something which turns out to be nothing much, rather than ignore something which could be serious! I think there is heat in the area with thrombosis?

            No plans as such today.

            Have a good day everyone.

Enfys, how lovely to have your GD safely home, I am finding it hard not to hug the GC. Pleased to hear you are feeling okay to get out, well done your DD.

Oma what a to do with your blood tests. How lovely of your neighbours to bring you flowers.

Lizzie, I hope your painful leg is feeling better, well done for getting it checked out.

Good Morning ladies , we have been to Morrison’s while it was early and empty , only wanted a few things so in and out quickly .

Lizzie always best to have these things checked out , you just never know xx

Enfys so pleased you are out and about and of course you must hug and see GD after all this time ,

Plant it must be hard not hugging those lovely GGC and GC

                Daisy hows DS?

Gem have you spoken to DD about your Mums visiting yet , how did last nights quiz go

Bs hand is a lot better today the oozing has stopped and it seems to have drained , still swollen but not as red as it was .

Ive just been fighting with my new Diabetes monitor it keeps coming up with a error that I’m not putting enough blood on the strips but apart from cutting my wrist I can’t get anymore on , my fingers are sore trying so I’m giving up I’m losing patience with it I will try again later

Ooh your poor fingers Oma I'm glad B's hand is improving.
DD's are going to arrange to go one each week to see mum - if we are allowed. We think it's best to play ignorant and just request a visit, rather than ask if anyone other than me can go.
                  Wish us luck.
                  The quiz was very successful
Plant, it is hard for you not to hug your GGC. I'm afraid GS2 and I have been hugging for a long time. If I were single I would be able to ,and the risk is no greater for me than a single person.

Yes Gem, the leg would be hot, red and swollen with thrombosis, the doctor checked to see if both my legs were the same temp! I had a heat rash last week from the support tights so my legs are still red and flecked, she said that is understandable with wearing them in the heat.

Enfys, i would have done the same with GD.
Its good that you are getting out and about.
I must be honest and say we have been hugging and kissing some family members.
Haven't been doing it with in laws due to their age.

Well, that was a very enjoyable morning. The girls took me to Home Bargains, haven’t been there since before lockdown, all very easy and safe. Then on to their favourite little cafe for breakfast and very nice it was too. Back home, full to the brim and glad to have been out. I see a lazy afternoon ahead.

I’m guilty of hugging GS DD and my elderly neighbour when she came with flowers , also MIL , although with MIL it’s like hugging a ironing board she’s so stiff and cold we faced away from each other but GS has been kissing us for a few weeks now , I missed those hugs and kisses so much

Enfys we went to Home bargains last week only a couple people in but it was just as they opened

Isn’t it strange eating out again things we took for granted before is all so peculiar now .
