Sounds like my kind of food Oma, I don't think there is a Turkish restaurant near to me.

Oma - stop it, you're making me hungry!! Enjoy your teas. xx

Gem - it's amazing how the paper work builds up, isn't it. I'm still dealing with my cousin's paperwork, but hopefully it will soon all be tied up. It's over a year now.

Plant - far better for GD1 to relax if she's feeling poorly - I'm sure she gets tied more quickly and needs to rest.

My gloomy take on the weather this morning was wrong - nice for it to be that way round. The wind's got up again, but apart from one short shower it's been sunny. I'm just going to see if the grass is dry enough for cutting. Tonight I'm taking Eva on the Forest walk we'd been going on before DS1 was taken ill. I hope it stays fine for that.

Same here tomorrow Nan2. I don't expect to set foot outside the door with GS1.

              Evening All.
Looking at the forecast I should have done the washing today but I had to take OH to collect the mower this morning as I am not allowing him to drive yet and by the time I got back it was time to go and play cards! This is the first time since lockdown. We have been playing on Mondays for ten years, so we have missed it enormously. It’s not just the game, it’s the laughter. We played in the garden as it was warm enough. I don’t know if we’ll be able to do it again though, as it will soon be too chilly, and at present we can’t play indoors.
Gem I love Turkish food. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be anywhere local that is any good.
It’s the last episode of A Suitable Boy tonight, an absolute load of tosh but the costumes are a feast for my eyes.😁
              Sleep well ladies.

It certainly looks stormy for tomorrow! Poor GD1 - it's her 10th birthday, and she was going to have an outing in the morning with her other gran, the gran's sister and her two GDs, but it will be cancelled if the weather's bad. We're going to go over just before tea (ie birthday cake!) time with her card and present. Can't believe she's 10 - she's soooo excited. Mean daddy tried to kid her this morning that it wasn't until next week. She's not fooled that easily!!

I do hope it stays dry for your GD's outing Daisy, but, if it is anything like the forecast here it will be a wet one. Being so excited with her 10th birthday she won't notice the rain

Good morning everyone from a very wet and windy south coast!

GD is still excited, even though there's no chance of her outing taking place. We'll see her later.

Stay safe everyone with all the storm and flood warnings out there. xx

                          Good morning ladies

It is belting down and black as night here ,
GS1 has a match in Hull today , DD waiting to hear if it’s still on before they set off she will follow the team coach down by car and we picking Storm up to bring here .

I have to pick my new glasses up at 10.40 so will pick Storm up after that ,
My next door neighbour is having another episode , the first for a few month . Police brought her and the car home at 3 this morning trouble is they leave the car keys so she was driving up and down the street after they left

I was up but turned the lights off or she would be knocking on my window to ramble on and I really didn’t want that in the middle of the night

Daisy I hope GD has a good Birthday despite the weather xxx

Oma - It won't be much fun playing football in this awful weather, poor GS1.

Oh dear, your neighbour's problems seem to be never-ending. It sounds as though she shouldn't be driving when she's in the middle of an episode like that.

I've just spoken to GD1 and asked her how it felt to be 10. She said it was much like bing 9, only older! OH did his usual rendition of "Happy Birthday" (it has to be heard to be believed!) which made her giggle.

Dark and wet here, I don't think I will be going to the tip, will have to drive around with car full of paper and card. Have to collect a prescription and drop some plums off at a friends house but even that can wait until tomorrow. If I stay in there will be no excuse not to do some housework and ironing. I am visiting Sil's mother at 2.00.

Hope your GD has an enjoyable birthday in spite of the poor weather Daisy

Not much fun to be playing football in this weather Oma, I agree with Daisy, your neighbour shouldn't be driving.

Good morning ladies, from a dark wet Yorkshire!

I hope visiting your SIL's mother goes well Plant. They are obviously allowing more than one named visitor where she is.
I hope your GD has a lovely birthday despite the weather Daisy!

GS1 is here. We are at the dining table. Me finishing my breakfast coffee and checking online stuff, him having some screen time. He's got a sniffle which we don't know could be a cold or allergy. DD checked all the symptoms on an NHS checker and it is no cause for concern. To be safer we have said no hugging today and he's got his own bottle of drink, man size tissues, and hand gel! He's not poorly at all.

I am going to order him a pizza delivery for tea, as a treat. He's excited!

OH's golf game was cancelled, a couple of them have met for morning coffee at the club instead.
Fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow. GD and I have the alpaca walk booked! It is a much better forecast at least
Tonight is the What'sApp quiz, not my turn to host this week.

I hope everyone is doing well.
