        Good morning everyone.

A bit cloudy here, but I gather another hot day is forecast.

New sun lounger Plant, lovely! Two years ago I requested a really nice sun lounger for my birthday and my DD's clubbed together to buy me it. The GC love it too though, so there is a battle if they re here on a sunny day We have another but mine is so comfy! (I will probably be on it later )

No plans here. OH has golf later. I was considering driving into town for a walk around as I miss seeing it and it will be strange seeing all the shops and restaurants shut, and no tourists. A different city! My back is painful though, so I think a rest day is good, but with enough movement to prevent seizing up!

Have a good day, whatever it holds.

Yes Gemini it would be lovely for you to see your lovely town without all the tourists but perhaps resting the back is a good idea. Sil had bought 2 loungers for them and I asked him to get one for me as the sun room has been too hot to sit in and I can move the lounger into the shade and be outside.

Love the graphic Nanto. I am sure you will find lots to do.

Window cleaners came early this morning, our windows must be so easy for them, no ladders needed. I have a very small gardening job to do then book and knitting sitting on my new lounger in the shade.

Good morning everyone. It's another bright sunny day here, but the forecast says it will be a bit cooler than yesterday. I'd like to get the patio tidied up today - empty out some weedy pots, sweep up etc, then get the greenhouse beds ready to put melons plants in. But I've woken up with a stiff neck and aching back, so I'll see how it goes. A nice hot shower might help.

Gem - I'd love a comfy sun lounger. My DSs gave me a beautiful wooden steamer style lounger a few years ago, but it's not particularly comfortable unfortunately, and too heavy for me to move around if I need to. Yes, I'd save your trip into town until your back is feeling better. Have a 'be kind to my back' day. xx I wonder how GS1 was after his lovely time with you yesterday. I bet he'd like to do it all over again today, bless him.

My OH says thank you to everyone for their kind comments. He's still asleep - I tend to just leave him to lie in after eye treatment. It leaves him very tired, but he worries about it for several days beforehand. He says some people seem to brush it off very easily, but he's not one of them.

Nanto - have a nice relaxing day for once - you're always on the go and deserve a break.

Plant - I'm glad the knitting is going well now. These things are sent to try us, aren't they. Your sun lounger sounds very comfy, too.

Oma - it's good your nieces are keeping in touch and chatting - I'm sure they appreciate it and perhaps it makes their Dad feel a bit closer.

Nana - the satellite pictures quiz was a challenge, but fun. Yes please, if you've got another quiz up your sleeve, we'd love it. When OH and I find ourselves yelling at contestants of tv quiz shows, they're only easy if you know the answers.

Oma - my patient is still asleep! He could win Olympic Gold for Sleeping!

It's lovely that J's family want to involve you and your sister in the decision about his ashes, and I'm pleased your niece is finding it comforting to have him close by. Yes, going back to work will help, I'm sure. J would be so proud of his son, wouldn't he. Sending hugs to you all. xxx

That is a lot of money raised Oma, his father would have been proud of him! A good decision about the ashes as well, always difficult to decide, a friend of a friend lost her (ex) husband, must be 10 years ago, she still can't decide what to do with his ashes, she keeps having a dip in the urn to make rings, hangers etc. If she keeps dipping in there won't be any ashes left to make a decision.

When my OH was funeral director there were ashes left there for years, no one pressures anyone to take them. I think that sounds a lovely idea for your brother's ashes Oma.
                        You take it easy today.
Sleep will do your OH good Daisy.

                        Hot here!
I have dusted, hoovered, and steamed the floors. Getting things done so I can relax.
I plan to go outside with my book on my sunlounger, like Plant . OH has just set off for the golf course, with sun cream and water!
We will go over to my mum's later and put some stuff in her bin, as collection day is tomorrow.
                        Key workers clap tonight.

I think I'll take down the living room curtains & sew the hook band on again as it's come away in places. Then I'll pop them in to wash. They're heavy curtains but should dry no problem in this heat. Hope I can manage as OH is away golfing for the day.

I'll put another quiz up Daisy. I'll choose an easier one this time.

I've ended up having a very lazy day so far. Pottering round, doing nothing much. I had every intention of getting on with all the jobs in the garden, but the intention didn't translate into any action.

Still, it's a lovely day and I'm just going to make a pot of tea and go in the garden and read for a while.

Nana - thank you! No pressure on making it easy though - imagine if you said 'this is a nice easy one' and I didn't even get one question right! They're fun anyway.

What a lovely family your brother has, how lovely they have involved you in the discussion about his ashes.

Daisy, I hope J feels better tomorrow.

I have been playing musical chairs today. The sunroom was okay this morning, tried the sun lounger but there was a bit of a cool breeze, our garden is very open. I tried another chair under cover for lunch, then tried the sun room again and finished up in the lounger. Garden is pretty straight, just need to keep on top of the weeds.
