Mimi - I feel the pain for you - when it's so bad that you actually feel faint you just don't know what to do for the best. I would take whatever pain killers (anti-inflammatories if you can tolerate them) you have in the house just to make you more comfortable and then rest in the best position for you. Had you been doing anything unusual the day before? Do take care. xx By the way, just in case it's a disc problem, lie on the bed and ask your OH to gently lift one leg at a time. If you have pain on the opposite side, it might be a disc problem.

Gem - no wonder you're suffering as well - you have been lifting your mum as well as sleeping on a sofa/sun bed for 2 nights, in addition to the tension caused by all the worry you are having. Auntie Daisy recommends a long soak in a warm bath and a good night's sleep if you can manage it.

Nana - 7 Easter eggs??? Sorry, remind me of your address... ??? I'll come and help you with them.

Mimi...your symptoms sound the same as what I'm having at the moment! Not a nice feeling is it? I've been trying to work through the pain and avoid taking painkillers, but I think I may have to call the surgery next week even if it is just to have a chat with a professional. Take care!

I've been coping with this lock down fairly well, at least I think I have in spite of OH's erratic behaviour and no hope of an appointment in sight for another few months. But today GS Facetimed us to thank us for his Easter egg( thanks to online ordering and delivery) and he said, I do wish I could come and visit you. Well I've been in bits ever since. Strange how things can upset you...and I'm known for being unsentimental! Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day. A small thing in the light of what is happening to others on here, but for me quite significant.

On the bright side, I managed, all by myself, to get a Tesco home delivery. OK it's not until 1st May, but the others in between have been organised by my DD. A couple of friends of DC have also offered to get us anything we need...unlike our so called Christian neighbours who can't even ask how you are. Sorry to sound b*****, but they make me angry. This is the one who wanted OH to help him erect a gazebo for a party they were having and to which we weren't invited!

Tomorrow is another day and hopefully a better one for all those coping with various problems.

Anyway, I'm off to pour myself a glass or two of wine and see what I can do to pass the evening. It's been a glorious day here, but I think, sadly, that there's a change on the way. Enjoy your evening ladies whatever you're up to xx

I hope tomorrow is better for you WG.

        Lovely hot sunny day here.
We have sat in the garden a bit this afternoon when we got back, then I had a lovely bath. Some cool temperatures forecast next week unfortunately.
OH went to Tesco for our first ever Click and Collect shop today.
I will update about my mum when I make a new thread . Some soaps and other TV to catch up on tonight.
I feel very sad, but I know this is natural.

Just had a phone call from my niece my Brother has been admitted by Ambulance to Hospital with possibly the Virus
No one was allowed to go with him and we now have to wait for Hospital updating us .
He hadn't felt well for a few days so rang my oldest niece she went around and he had a temp of 102 .
She stayed the night then this morning he collapsed on bedroom floor with a temp of 104 .

My niece is staying in his flat till we find out as she doesn't want to carry anything back to her home .
We are hoping it's a viral infection . So scary when it's so close to home 😕

WeeGranny - I've been wondering how you were coping. It can be hard being isolated when both of you are fit and well, but it must add greatly to your anxieties about OH, and being together 24/7 isn't easy. I 'get it' about feeling emotional after your GS Face Timed you. I feel the same when I've been chatting to our GDs. I try not to think about it, but I still get upset. I keep telling myself "this too will pass" - my mantra for any difficult situation, but I still get upset. Sending you hugs, and congratulations on getting your Tesco home delivery.

Oma - fingers crossed it's not Coronavirus your brother's got. I think a temperature of 104F is the point at which they want you in hospital to try and bring it under control. I hope they contact your niece sooner rather than later because you must all be worried. Sending very best wishes to him.

Gem - it sounds as though your first Click and Collect went fine - I hope so anyway. Relax in front of the tv and rest - you must need it, and your mum is in good hands. xxx

It's been another glorious day here and I think tomorrow should be ok. After that, it looks as though it's going to be cooler. Just off to finish off my Sainsbury's order ready for Monday.
