    Good Friday morning all.

    Lovely jacket Nan2.
I'm glad to hear the tomatoes perked up Daisy. I was in OH's greenhouse yesterday, and everything is coming along nicely.

This morning our hairdresser is coming. We have had two previous appointments cancelled since lockdown. I would have cancelled this one, but OH is keen for hers to be cut.
We will have it done in the garden. Hairdresser will wear a mask and we will hold our masks over our faces while we have out hair cut. She obviously isn't working in the salon and only going to very few clients, who like us are not working and are more or less at home. It will be safe, but still feels a bit odd!
Tonight is fish and chip night All fish and chip shops closed here, and just recently a couple have opened up for collection or takeaway. Our local one opened last night for delivery only. Ours is booked for 7.30 tonight, I can't wait!
Not sure what the rest of the day holds.
    Take care everyone.

Good morning. Nice and sunny again this morning. I’m going to try and pot up as many plants as I can with my remaining compost. They are all looking so good. Fish and chips for us too today, but home made......well, taken out of the freezer πŸ˜€

No idea when I’ll get my hair cut, I can do DH’s but mine is looking very shaggy and I’m resisting getting the scissors out. I’ll have to get creative with a scarf or wear a hat πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ’‚β€β™€οΈ

I like your jacket Nan2, very useful. I fancy a lighter jacket, I have one but I always seem to end up with navy and I really fancy a brighter colour for a change. Might have a browse later.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Daisy now don't get dizzy with all that excitement

Gem lucky lady getting a hair cut I'm slowly looking like cousin IT from the Adams Family πŸ˜‚

Enfys ours has to be home made too at the minute our Fishy is only doing order and collect , although thinking about it I could get my SIL to collect them for us .

Tesco order came last night only thing missing was eggs so DD going for some for us today .

Up with the larks this morning so I had a good clean through downstairs even polished the chrome plug sockets with WD 40 they lovely and shiny now , when B got up I tackled the bedrooms damp dusted hoovered and cleaned windows .

I then decided as I'm not using makeup at the minute I gave all my make up brushes a goo wash they in boiler cupboard drying .

Feel less of a black cloud today I need to be moving on dwelling on it won't make it any better will it . So I have decided just to remember good things

Pleased you are feeling better today Oma, it is good to remember the good things and the contribution your brother made to other peoples lives. Your light switches sound posh, I only have square plastic ones. What a lovely surprise the goodies DD and family sent and such a lovely presentation package.

I can't understand why people think they have been given permission to flock to the Forest and as for opening toilets, well!! I don't remember that permission being given. People should look at the daily figures, they are still high.

I will have another go at sorting out my pots and get some pruning done. I counted my pots yesterday and I have 20, far too many for me to cope with, some have perennials in them. I am not going to worry about getting compost and plants for the empty ones they will have to wait until the Autumn, I don't have any compost anyway.

Enfys, pleased to hear P has had a couple of good days, hope it continues.

I wish I could get my hair done Gemini, hasn't been this long for many years.

Enjoy your fish and chips, I have chicken for this evening.

This is a sad posting! On Monday, when it was windy, a group of young men went paddle surfing in Scheveningen, all have them have been surfing etc for years and a couple of them were beach guards/coaches. They were overpowered by the foam on the waves, I read it was 1.5mtr at the time, it seems they suffocated/drowned in the foam, there were 6 in the group, one left earlier and 5 of them drowned, so sad looking at those young, handsome men that have lost their lives. They are still looking for one body.

Well we found a chippy that was delivering and ordered Fish & chips for tea .

They were not good , Fish was dry , Chips looked like they hadn't seen a pan and they were cold .
                        So that was a disappointment.
We will wait till we can go to our usual place in future

What a terrible thing to happen Lizzie.

When we were on our way to the Asda, we saw the sign out for our usual fish shop. We have been going to a different one, but will be going back to the other one.

Good morning Nan2, how glamorous you are looking today
Good morning everyone else, and Happy Saturday.

Oma, what a disappointment about the fish and chips.
I hope you had a good birthday Lizzie.

The forecast here is very good into next week, so a lot of garden time coming up I think. I would love to drive to the coast sometime, somewhere very quiet though, where we can keep our distance.
Today DD2 is coming for a distance chat in our garden. She will be this way doing the weekly shop.
I haven't seen her for a long time so it will be lovely.

Have a good day whatever you do.

Good morning, I had a really good birthday, saw DS2 and partners new house, very impressive, lots of land surrounding it, that is very unusual in this area. A kitchen to dream for and lots of space, they certainly haven't "downsized". Partner had cooked a fish curry and we all enjoyed the meal. They are starting knocking walls etc down today, DS2 has plenty of handy friends so they will get it done, it is mostly the upstairs that they are doing. The weather was good as well, better than forecasted.
