        Sunny again.
just been through the cupboards, fridge and freezers making a list for when we go to the supermarket later this week.
Don't really need much, but somehow that all changes when i get to the supermarket.
I always end up seeing this, that and t'other not on my list, but end up buying them.
Hubby will have a seperate trolley for his Ma and Pa's shopping.

Just popping to the post office.Need to send a couple of cards. Sending them well in advance.

Taken a chicken, leek, mushroom and potato pie out of the freezer. Will serve it wth green beans and chicken gravy.

          Good morning everyone.
Sunny here too Nan2, but it looks a bit breezy. Dinner sounds nice.
Bake Off was very funny last night wasn't it Plant?!
Thinking of Oma and family today .

We are going over to mum's house today. To check post etc and OH will do some gardening.
DD3 asked me to meet her for walk now you can meet one other person from another household. My knee and back are not good atm, so I suggested somewhere we can sit as much as walk.

Good morning everyone, including Nanto's cheery little chappie.

It's sunny here, still a bit breezy but getting warmer. I think I'll have a blitz on the greenhouse today. Lots of sad trays of compost where there should be thriving little seedlings, weeds in the beds, and generally disorganised. I think the melons are ready to pot on as well. How ironic if they are my only success this year! The seeds I ordered still haven't arrived. I'll chase them up, but I don't expect to get any reply! It's not the money, more the disappointment that's upset me.

Nanto - that pie sounds delicious. I've got some left-over chicken which I'm going to use today. I'll put it in a casserole with a tin of tomatoes, onions, garlic, some herbs etc and serve it with rice. That's the plan anyway.

It's surprising what you fancy when you actually see the goodies on the supermarket shelves. Have fun.

Gem - how lovely it will be to see DD3, but do take care with your knee and back. I hope things are ok at your mum's. How is she getting on in the care home?

Oma - a sad day for you, I know. Sending love and hugs. xxx

Plant - I got out of the habit of watching Bake Off when it moved to channel 4 - it sounds as though I should get re-acquainted with it. We watched Who Wants to be a Millionaire. One contestant got to half a million but wasn't quite brave enough to follow his instinct for the answer to the top spot. His guess was right - and I was amazed that I actually knew the answer!

We watched that too Daisy. I think he was right to not risk losing all that money as he wasn't 100% sure. He must have wished he had taken the risk when it turned out he was right though!
I don't feel that Bake Off lost anything by it's move to Channel 4 really, as long as you record it to avoid the adverts! The Stand Up To Cancer celebrity one can be so funny. The poor man from Coundown, who is in a fact a very funny man, had seemingly never set foot in kitchen before!!

I agree Gemini, moving Bake Off is still very good and the Celebrity one is so so funny. Gemini do you and your DD have to keep apart and no cuddles?

Love the graphic Nanto and your dinner always sounds good. I really miss doing my own shopping. I am very lucky that my GD1 gets it for me but I make it a one off shop and find I finish up with things I haven't used and run-out of others. It is nice to see something that makes a change.

Good morning from me to everyone.

Oma - of course you're feeling sad, plus lots of other emotions as well. Be kind to yourself - we'll look forward to seeing you when you're ready. xxx

Nanto - I'm really hoping to get the greenhouse done today. I mentioned elsewhere my seeds have arrived - yipeeeeee! So I can get sowing as soon as I've tidied up. Keep your fingers crossed for me - it's the last chance for this year.

It's Thursday - the social highlight of our week. When Clap for Carers started I bet nobody realised what a benefit it would be to those clapping as well as a small way of showing appreciation for those caring for us in so many ways.

Daisy, pleased to hear your seeds have arrived, good luck with a quick germination.

Oma, you are bound to feel a bit washed out today after all the emotion yesterday.

I don't have any plans, I wish this wind would drop, the sun room hasn't been warm enough for me to sit in. If only I had some compost and some plants, I could get my pots sorted. Our green bins are due to be emptied tomorrow, I have garden rubbish in other containers waiting to go in and I need to prune the flowering currant and forsythia.

My Sil's mother has now at last been moved from hospital to a local care home. Sil showed me a picture of her in her room looking very happy to be there at last. Of course she will have to be in isolation for 14days, I will send her a card. Gemini, she has been on the same journey as your mother. Hope they will be happy in their new homes.

                            Good morning all.
                            A sunny one here.

Good to know the seeds have arrived Daisy.
I really hope your SIL's mother will be happy Plant. I'm sure she will settle in.
Sending gentle HUGS to Oma, Clover and all who are sad at this awful time.
Take your time Oma, we are here when you feel like posting, until then, just be kind you yourself x

A lot going on here today. Well a lot by lockdown standards!
We collect this weeks Sainsbury's shopping between 10 and 11, so drive there and back, unpack it all, wipe everything down, put away etc. It seems to take a while!
                            Golf for OH at 1.
Not sure how I will use my afternoon yet.
This evening is recycling boxes out and NHS clap, with tambourine

I ordered a summer jacket from Amazon, and it said it would be delivered between the 17th and 19th.
Then it was brought forward to tomorrow, but it has arrived today. Well pleased with it.
Gardening is done,so i've just had a shower.
                              Will start on dinner soon.

Oma you have been through a tremendous amount of stress these past few weeks so it's no wonder you feel like you do .

Just finished lunch . We had cottage pie. It used up the last of the carrots, potatoes and onions. I also cooked the last remaining parsnip I found lurking in with the carrots. Tesco arrives tomorrow so I can fill the fridge back up .
I was going to go out in the garden this afternoon but the combination of changing the bed and washing out the fridge has put my back out once again. My back really does go out more than I do.

Nan2 what is your jacket like ? I had to order some undies on line yesterday. I have been saying since just after Christmas, I really must go to town and pop into M and S but never got around to it .

Plant hope that SIL's mother settles into her care home

                                Keep safe everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
