Oma, have you kept the same colour on your walls? Your home will be even more spick and span.

I can't get through to the Warfarin clinic about my appt. tomorrow, they are not answering and can't leave a message.

Another lovely sunny day here, it got to 18 degrees.
My knees are painful today. I obviously overdid the walking yesterday 🙄

There wasn't time for a chat with DD3 so that is on tomorrow's agenda.

Oh, Gem, do take care with your knees. I hope you've managed to get some rest. Is DD3 ok? What's going to happen about her wedding (sorry I can't remember exactly when it is).

Hasn't it been a glorious day! I've been in the garden and greenhouse in just a thin t-shirts (and jeans!) all day.

Oma - I love white walls, but OH isn't so keen, so we just try and keep them as pale as possible. I bet your decorating looks lovely, but you must be exhausted. I don't know how you do it!

Plant - I hope you managed to get through to the Warfarin Clinic eventually. I would think it was important for you to go. Yes, I do think it will get easier to get delivery slots as they take on more drivers etc.

Enfys - how exciting getting your little greenhouse. I hope your seeds arrive soon so you and P can get busy sowing! Enjoy the sunshine as well. Such a lot of people are being laid off - it's worrying. If P's diabetes is well-controlled he's safer not going for a check up I should think.

Gem - did you enjoy your takeaway last night?

I think it's confusing for a lot of people, Oma, not just the elderly. My friend M was saying tonight that the sheltered house her niece lives in has had to close because so many of the carers were ill or self-isolating. It's privately run with just 3 residents. The niece isn't able to understand why she has suddenly had to go back to her parents (she's in her 30s), and what's more can't visit friends in their village or go to the pub with her dad. There's no way you can explain it to her, and she's so upset. I didn't even ask about hand-washing etc. Her poor mum and dad are also supporting the mum's very frail and elderly parents - one with Alzheimers and the other who's been in hospital 3 times since Christmas. It's hitting some people very hard.

Daisy, we enjoyed our takeaway very much!
DD's wedding is in June. They have postponed, probably until next year, the celebration. They think they will still have the ceremony and wear their rings from June, but delay the bigger celebration. I have already bought her dress, so she needs to stay the same size! She's a tiny size 6/8 and doesn't really change so should be OK.

                Oh that's a cute graphic Nan2!
Very frosty here, and misty! The sun is coming out so I suspect both will soon go.
                Good morning everyone.

No walk today for me, in regard of taking care of the knees!
Nothing planned apart from a video call with DD3, but lots I can do so I will keep busy.

Good morning everyone. Love those cheeky kitties, Nanto!

I woke to glorious sunshine, and no frost although it was chilly. I'm getting on with the gardening today, trying to get as much done as possible before the weather takes a turn for the worse at the week-end. Is anyone else having trouble remembering which day of the week it is!

Gem - keep busy sitting down, and rest your poor knees. How are they this morning?

Nanto - take care out and about. xx I hope your in laws are coping ok.

Daisy, the 'good' knee is fine today. The other, which has the worse arthritis is a tiny bit swollen. I enjoyed our walk on Wednesday so much, I think I just overdid it. I am supposed to walk but that was too much at once. I will stay in the house and garden today.
Don't you overdo it in the garden!
Lovely and sunny here now too, all fog gone.

Gem your poor knees are telling you to slow down and rest . Jus small walks not great long ones especially as you have not long had your knee injections .

Yesterday would have been my sister's 69th Birthday so I rang my Brother last night then my sister we all said the same she would have hated getting older 😁

I have hoovered and put stuff back on walls this morning but that's all I'm doing today . I'm tired and I didn't sleep well at all so have a bit of a headache .

Far too early to have breakfast when I got up so I have just sat down with some toast and tea .

A lazy day and definitely a nap at some point

Really Nana, I haven't seen the news.

Had my warfarin check, just right 2.3 so now have an appt. in June. I passed the local co-op, they were doing an over 70's shop for an hour so nipped in and picked up one or two bits to save DD. When I came out there was a very long queue as they were only letting in a few shoppers at a time. DD is just off to Waitrose. We are a bit worried about how to arrange things when GD and her partner are back later. DD suggested she uses my utility and let them use hers. GD said she will have the G&T with me this evening, she will sit in the garden. GGS mother sent me some lovely pics of the two children.

Look after those knees Gemini, try and rest today.

Oma, you can't rest can you, I hope when you get straight again you will need to find something less taxing to do. Paint gives me a headache.

Love you graphic Nanto, take care shopping.

Just caught up with your news everyone. Sorry but there's too much to reply to individually. Glad you're all still posting tho. Oma I have my meds delivered with the Nomad scheme, so all my tablets are boxed into the appropriate times of the day, when they have to be taken etc. It's only when I get a new medication that it has to be collected. Once it's on repeat it then goes in the box.

Plant I'm pleased that you have got your bloods sorted. Take care & sanitize your hands whilst you're there ... listen to me ... clucking hen.🐔

My sister, in her early 70's said she had a bit of a cry yesterday. She misses her GC & doesn't know what to do about her holiday. Her & OH were going touring round Yellowstone Park & going on to tour Seattle & loads more other places. If they cancel now she loses £2.000. Think it's planned for early June. She went to their allotment for a short while, to try to ground herself.

I was wondering if the gardeners on here with greenhouses, particularly Enfys, (as you're a beginner) could talk us through setting up & maintaining a greenhouse please? We'd like to do it, (small scale) but have no idea where to start. Thanks.
