    Afternoon all.
It's been a busy day so far ( see what I did today thread). Two minutes after the Sky engineer left , Tesco delivery pulled up outside, by the time I had put the groceries away it was time for lunch .

Gosh , 30th June, it's not really surprising is it . When we first knew about it I had worked out the date to the 7th June .

Hope everyone is coping all ok.

Enfys hope OH is ok x
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

My burst of energy lasted all the way through cleaning the kitchen windows, including frames and window sills and work surfaces. It had all got a bit cluttered so I've ruthlessly decluttered and it looks much better. I didn't quite need the darkened room, but I did have a bit of a rest after lunch!

Let's hope by 30th June things will be looking much brighter and safer. It seems a long time, I know, but it will pass.

WeeGranny - what a lovely treat from your DD, made even better by the sunshine, I'm sure. I do hope your seeds grow - what a lovely surprise it will be.

Plant - I hope you aren't overdoing things. xx

Oma - I'd be pretty cross, too. It's unfair on everybody when people flout the rules like that.

Gem - apart from anything else I think our cars need a bit of a run to keep the batteries charged. Enjoy the sunshine.

Was overdoing things a bit Daisy but it is done now. I only work for a couple of hours, that is enough for me these days. The shed has never looked so tidy but the bins are full.

Plant - a tidy shed is a miracle shed! Well done, and I'm glad you're not doing too much. xx

Avo - sorry you posted while I was typing. I hope your little doggy is ok - I remember you saying some time ago that she wasn't very well. xx I think any household job you can do while sitting in the garden makes it seem less like a chore. I remember my French friend's mum always sitting in her garden to make mayonnaise (by hand) and it always seemed like such a relaxing thing to do - you can't rush it. I don't make it very often but always remember her and use her recipe.

                    Morning ladies.
I’ve been keeping busy painting the garden shed! It took ages to get the sticky spiders’ nests out of the nooks and crannies and rubbing off the dried on bird poo! I’ m taking it slowly and having to wait while the sun moves round as it was so sunny the paint was drying almost before I could get it on.
Nothing much else to report. I finished another jigsaw and have been knitting more.
Thinking about Enfys and her hubby.
Hope everyone has a worry free day x

Good morning Nanto, Oma and Clover. It's nice and sunny here, too. I think Sunday is due to be cold and rather miserable!

Oma - We're having a VE Day tea in our cul de sac this afternoon. All socially distanced, but a chance to mark this special day.

Clover - I can imagine painting a shed is jolly difficult and it's surprising how many cobwebs resist all efforts to move them. What have you been knitting? Yes, I do hope Enfys and P are ok, too. Sending hugs. xx

                        Good morning everyone.
A late one as is the norm these days, we are still in bed!
No particular plans today, apart from washing towels! The weather is lovely, so I expect we will be in the garden a lot.

A VE day afternoon tea sounds lovely Daisy, we would get involved if anything was going on around here.
Oma we will search for the little flags I put out when Prince Harry got married and put those out if we find them.
I hope they do something at mum's care home, I think they will.
Fence painting sounds a good occupation Clover I imagine it takes a while!

                        Have a good Friday ladies.

Nothing happening in our road but some of the streets in the village have been decorated with bunting and they are having a street party with distancing, I doubt they will be able to keep the children apart for long. I read that we are having a fly past going close to us, I hope we can see them, will hear them first. No work planned for today, done enough this week. Will have a G&T with GD1 before dinner this evening, she is going to get some shopping for me tomorrow.

Sheds are getting a lot of attention Clover, cleared out ours but not going to paint it. Good to hear you are keeping busy.

I am wondering how Enfys and her OH are, I realised we were not friends on FB so I sent her a request and she accepted me as a friend.

If you a having a celebration for VE Day, have a lovely time and stay safe.

Morning ladies . I have put some washing on and washed 5he bathroom and kitchen floor .
OH and I then had a cup of coffee and played Pop Quiz on radio 2 . We have taken to doing it regularly these past few months and for only the second time I actually beat him .
I then went outside and cleaned the water feature . It was very hot out there but its likely to be all change by Sunday 😒

Last night , for the 8pm clap had the most people out taking part since it first started and as we were out there an ambulance drove past which sent up cheers and a lot of banging of saucepans and clapping. The ambulance crew waved and put their thumbs up . It gave me goosebumps I can tell you.

I do hope Enfys and P are ok. I have been thinking of them a lot.

Oma, how are you and your family, it's been a hard few weeks x

Keep safe everyone and everyone any planned VE celebrations you are having.

                              Hello everyone.
We are having a lazy day! Apart from hanging out washing ( me) and filling bird feeders (OH) we have just lazed about in the garden, and have no plans to do much else!
I did find the little flags so they are in the planters at the front.
