It's overcast and dreary here - but at least it hasn't rained - except on our drive!! It looks like new again.

I'm going to start cooking in a minute - putting a chicken in for dinner, then preparing a beef casserole to go in the slow cooker in the morning. Plus prepping dog food. That should keep me out of mischief for a while.

I buy the 2 min porridge to take to DS2's for breakfast if I'm staying over there - they never have any cereal I like. I like the plain one best, Nanto.

Oma - I think you meant Enfys about the sofas. I don't think I dare talk about new ones when the current one is only 7 months old. I hope you do meet GS1's new GF. I haven't met either of my GSs' GFs, but they both look very nice from their photos. Yes, it does seem strange, and very sweet.

Gem - you are very organised about your holiday. I know it makes sense and you don't want to waste time or miss out on things when the time is so precious, but I still think your organisation is great.

Plant - it's surprising how important it becomes to watch a match between two teams you've got no interest in, isn't it! Not good for England at the moment. My OH is watching it with pseudo-sympathy. "Oh dear, England never learn not to play to their blind side" etc. Grrrr ....

Daisy, I watched the rugby with my Sil and GS, DD amused the GGS and the baby, well she is just chilled. Very disappointed in their performance but well played France

I cleaned my mother's bathroom to within an inch of it's life! Now I have got on top of it again I hope I will be able to nip and give it a quick clean every week.
OH didn't go with me as it was too wet for painting. She will pop over some time next week to do it.

Daisy, I enjoy holiday planning Also these flipping Disney Fastpasses need to be booked from March 7th onwards, which will come round fast. In order for me to book them (12 midday each day) we need to decide which parks we will go to on each day. Using the busy days guides my aim is to make sure we avoid any park on its busiest day.
Nan2, I'm another who uses the 2 minutes oats, the plain ones. We do have ordinary oats, but usually use the quick microwave ones.

Plant - my OH really enjoyed the Wales/Italy game, but said England don't stand a chance!!

Gem - well done on getting your mum's bathroom all spick and span. How sensible to say which days are the busiest in each park, but I think I'd still find it hard to plan that far ahead. It doesn't give you much chance to wake up one morning and think you just want to relax by the pool, but knowing you, you will have factored in 'relax' days as well.

              Good morning everyone.

Breezy here too Nan2, but dry and bright.
Daisy the whole pastpass book ahead system is stressful and does take a lot of the see-how-we-feel-on-the day away. Even worse, those staying 'onsite' which means in Disney hotels can book 60 days ahead leaving little for us poor 30 dayers! Which is why it is vital to be online at midday UK time when it opens. As it is Easter and we are largish group, I will have trouble getting us passes. I hope we get some of the ones we want. Without FP queues are really long at such a busy time. We knew all this though, so it is what it is ,as they say! One advantage of going when we are is that as the Easter weekend is so busy in the parks we will avoid those days, so it is enforced rest time

I have my client to go to this afternoon. Nothing else planned so far.

I hope all have a good day, and week ahead.

Good morning. Bright here and dry.

Gem, I remember those queues! Fast passes are great, hope you get the ones you want. Not long now.

Just been chatting to DD. She is in Singapore waiting for the second leg of her journey home. She has a 9 hour wait! So has booked into the transit hotel which she says is lovely. At least she can have a shower and a rest and something to eat in comfort. Meant wait to see her, she is very upset about DG staying on but we will have a good chat when she gets home and I can hear all about it.

Out this morning, looking at conservatory furniture again. Was very disappointed with what we saw yesterday. Came home thinking I’d rather keep the sofas, they are so comfy, so we shall see. Maybe a new rug and cushions would be nice. I can get new covers for the sofas too so will think about it.

Hope you all have a good day 🌞

Hello everyone. I'm a little bit too late to say 'good morning' It's not because I've only just got up. I had to collect Cooper earlier than usual this morning, came home had breakfast and then OH went out to the dentists and I needed to get a casserole in the slow cooker for tonight and then make some phone calls, so I've just sat down. Phew!

Enfys - how lovely that your DD will be home so soon now. Very sensible of her to use the transit hotel - it's such a long journey and having a comfortable and hopefully peaceful break will help to break it up a bit. How disappointing about the conservatory furniture, but hopefully you will find something you like - even if it is new cushions and a rug.

Oma - I bet home-made rye bread is delicious.

Gem - I remember the queues in the Florida parks. We always had to go in August because of my college holidays, but the boys were grown up by then, so it was just us. I don't think the pass system was in operation, although you could pay extra to go into some parks early which meant you were ahead of the crowds. I hope you get at least some of the ones you want. Is it feasible for your group to split up for some of the most popular attractions to improve your chances?

Nanto - what a lovely cheery graphic. They do brighten the day. I hope your in laws were ok.

Nothing much planned here today. I'll go and collect the GDs after school and take them back to there house. Eva and Cooper have tired each other out and are currently asleep.

Today turned out busier than i expected. Hubby picked me up from in laws.
He had just been to the CO-OP with a parcel for Hermes.
Came home, had a coffee, then we went to the post office with another small parcel.
Managed to get pies finished for the freezer. Had dinner, then hubby said something else had sold on ebay.
Packed that up,back to the CO-OP for another Hermes pick up.

Nanto - I hope your Co-op is handy! We have to travel 3 miles or so to the next village for Hermes.

It's an early night for me - getting up even half an hour earlier seems to have made it a long day, but the weather this afternoon was horrible, and I find that tiring - constantly in and out of the car in pouring rain, trying to hurry the GDs or Cooper!!

                        Night night everyone.

Very windy here. They say it will calm down this afternoon.

Daisy, you were up bright and early.
Our CO-OP is very handy for Hermes. Only 5 minutes away in the car.
Royal mail is very expensive now for sending parcels.
They wanted £14+ plus for one of our parcels, which hubby refused to pay.
                              Hermes only charged £6.49.

Morning everyone, very windy here as well, DS2, has cycled most of his life and he got blown off his bike in the town on Saturday morning! He landed on a car and broke the back light, hurt his hand and shoulder, went home and wrote a note with his number etc on then got on his bike again and cycled for almost 3 hours!

I had hoped to cycle to the hospital this afternoon, see what it is like after lunch. I have just been to the Lidl and almost got knocked off on the corner near here, they cut corners all the time!!! This one was very close, I did say something but they wouldn't have heard me!

Our mail is not as expensive as the UK seems to be, I can post a parcel upto 10kg for €6,75, there are others that do is cheaper though, similiar to Hermes I expect.
