Plant, I read that as “ swimming this morning, running later”! I thought you were very energetic 😀

Damp and dreary this morning, will pop to B & Q, but otherwise no plans. Mimi, I don’t necessarily use the cook books but like reading them 🙂. Your DH and his shoes 😀

Oma, strangely enough, I quite like washing up. Sloshing around in sudsy water, doesn’t take long either.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Dont usually watch ITV, but caught a segment of Breakfast tv this morning. Could not believe what I was hearing...... some young man ( that’s putting it politely! He was a failed Apprentice contestant) has come up with the bright idea that, to raise funds for the bushfire cause in Australia,....get this...the fur from the dead koalas should be sold to raise funds!!.! The reception he got was not good, surprise surprise......apart from anything else, does he think the the fur on these poor dead animals is unmarked? Idiot, words fail me.

      Good morning ladies

      A sunny one here.
Have fun in the water Plant.
Mimi, I hope your OH is happy with his trainers when they arrive
Nan2, I hate builders in, I would rather move!
Oma, I'm glad you mentioned prescription sunglasses. I must add that to my holiday To Do list! I'm waiting a while in case Boots have any sort of sunglasses offer though. I missed one by a day last year as I forget about it
I saw on FB that Sunshine is home! Look forward to hearing about her holiday once she's settled back on terra firma.

Shopping to do for my mum as it's Thursday, and then go to see her. I hope I will get a couple of things done for her while I am there.

      Have a good day everyone.

        Good morning ladies ,
Nanto I feel like that bear this morning

Mimi we have a tiny utility its only big enough to get washer and tumble dryer in , room on the work top to keep Microwave and deep fat fryer on and a cupboard above for washing powder etc ,
Its literally only the width of the washer and tumble side by side but it saves lots of room in my tiny kitchen

Plant enjoy swimming , how is GD now ?

Just washed my kitchen cupboard doors down and general tidy through , did a load of darks I will iron them after lunch ,

Storm asleep again he's had a iffy tummy for a couple of days so chicken and rice for lunch nothing heavy

        Will pop in later xxx
Im not fat just 6ft too small

          Good Thursday morning everyone.

I woke up 10 minutes before the alarm was due to go off - OH has a meeting this morning - and really didn't feel like getting up. But I did, and I think I might just go back to bed. I'd planned to go shopping but it can wait. The main thing I wanted was a parking clock for our local car parks. You buy a clock for about £25 and just display it when you park. I reckon it saves some money, and a lot of inconvenience - the joy of not having to trek round a car park looking for a machine, finding it's out of order, and joining the queue at the only one in operation, not having the right combination of coins, and getting soaked because it's pouring with rain. It's a bargain! But we can no longer buy one in our village since the post office closed and our lovely community-minded bookshop also closed. Surprise, surprise - Tesco Express can't be bothered to supply them!

Mimi - I have to smile at your OH. It's just the sort of thing my OH would do. In fact last year he actually tried several pairs of shoes on, rejected them as too expensive and then bought three pairs online which were the same price!! And they say women are the illogical sex.

Nanto - perhaps we'll have to find some projects for our OHs to keep them happy. Although things can, and do go wrong. Mini project yesterday for my OH was to put up a blind in his study - he's had a lump of card there for two or three years and periodically I point out where the blind, in its box is waiting patiently. So with much grumbling he put it up, went to rehang the curtains and broke the rail. He wasn't a happy chappy!

The last couple of days have been full on so haven't had time to more than check in. Aqua this morning then I went shopping and lunch out at JL with Dil. We both wanted a coat, I found a waterproof one, unfortunately not in the sale. Dil found a nice cloth coat in the sale for £70, when she went to the check-out it had been reduced to £35!! What a bargain. GD went back to work today, haven't seen her yet to see how she got on. Had a letter from hospital cancelling my appointment to have BCC removed from my face. It was just for a look-see in March, goodness knows when the new appt. will be.

What an idiot the man on television suggesting they use the dead Koala fur, no wonder he failed the Apprentice backing.

Swimming, running later Enfys, I don't think so. The aqua was good though.

Love the graphic Mimi. Hope those shoes, sorry trainers, will be to oh's satisfaction.

Daisy, are you OK? I just wondered with you saying you may go back to bed this morning.
              Koala Fur???? Some people
A bargain there for your DIL Plant. It's annoying when appointments are cancelled.

Mum was fine when I got there, after being very down and negative on the phone this morning. I am getting used to just taking everything as it comes and not let it all stress me so much. I will never stop worrying about her as she is my responsibility, but I think I worry too much, when a lot of the time she is quite happy (after a moan to me!)

Gem - thank you for asking. Yes, I'm ok but I don't cope very well with the cold frosty weather we've been having. It seems to make me very tired, and Mondays and Tuesdays are always hectic. I think I need to hibernate when it gets to a certain temperature!! Hahaha. I've had a very lazy day today - I haven't even taken poor Eva out. But an early night tonight and I should be right as rain for tomorrow.

Plant - what a great bargain your DIL got. I'm glad you found what you wanted even if it wasn't in the sale. I hope GD1's first day back was ok.

Gem - well done for not letting your mum's low moods drag you down too. I know she's an old lady, but she does have some responsibility for her own actions and you care for her very well. xx

Oma - is Storm ok now?

Enfys - did you get what you wanted from B&Q?

OH went to his meeting this morning then got a new curtain pole for his study - much better than the tatty old rail that was there - and then bless him he went and got the parking clock from the Town Hall - after he'd waited 20 mins in a queue at a post office because he'd forgotten I'd said you have to go to the Town Hall!!

Gem B's Mam is like your Mum she will be all doom and gloom on the phone go over and shes fine
She plays one against the other she will be woe is me when Martin phones so he will phone B we go over to check on her and she's bright as a button , just wants attention like a child at times

Daisy sometimes everything catches up on you and you just need a rest your body says slow down let the world catch up the rest will do you good .
Did J get the pole up or will it stay in its box like the blinds

Plant a good bargain your DD got , what colour is your new coat ? im still looking haven't found one I like yet ,
So frustrating when appointments cancelled but nothing you can do about it is there xx

Last visit of the week to in laws.

Plant, that was a good bargain for DD coat. A shame your appointment was cancelled.

Good morning, these landed in the next village yesterday, in a park next to where DS1 lives, I don't know if they are still there or have flown!

                          Good morning all.
Wow Lizzie, a sight to see in the park! My GS2 would be delighted!
That's big breakfast on your graphic Nan2

My alarm went off at 7.30, when I was deeply asleep having been awake in the night, which is not unusual, but that alarm is.
I set it because DD2 had asked if she and GS2 could come here for her to have an early conference call. As she has another later there wasn't time to have the first at home, get over here, drop GS and get to the office for the 2nd. Fine I said, she could use my therapy room upstairs, I will amuse GS downstairs. So I dragged my tired self out of bed this morning , washed and came downstairs. I didn't get dressed as it was so early, I could do that later. The time got closer, came and passed. No DD. When I checked the message the meeting was 9 am, not 8 am!! I could have had more sleep. Once I realised I had had a quick shower and got dressed.
GS2 all day, GD from school, regular Friday routine (but with an early start )

                          Have a good day everyone.

Wow, Lizzie what a sight, only ever seen them in animal parks. Where would they have flown in from?

Food shopping for me this morning then NTrust meeting this afternoon. I had to miss the last meeting so it will be good to catch up. My coat was a waterproof coat in navy, I think it will be very useful. I enjoy shopping with my Dil but she is starting a new job in a couple of weeks. GD seemed much better, no more has been said about her tonsils coming out. Tomorrow is my Sil's 60th so DD cooking a lunch for the family and there will be a party in the summer for the extended family, which is very large on Sil's side and some friends.

Good morning early birds, overnight bird (Oma) and all who pop in later.

Nanto - It's lovely of you to offer such a sumptuous breakfast, but perhaps I'll just have the coffee for now. Elevenses is another matter - bring on the goodies.

Oma - I think I'll have to come round and bash you both over the head to make you sleep. It must be so frustrating. Did you get back to sleep eventually? I hope you've got an easy day today. Glad to hear Storm's back to normal. I hate it when a dog's off his food - they can't tell you what's wrong! I think the curtain pole might get put up quicker than the blind! I shall just keep putting it in the way if it doesn't.

Lizzie - what amazing visitors to your neighbouring village. Their plumage looks a very good colour, so I wonder if they've escaped from a zoo. I bet they attract lots of attention.

Gem - it's horrible being woken from a deep sleep, especially by the alarm. Even more so when it wasn't necessary. Have a lovely day with GS2 and GD later.

Yet another day with no plans for me. OH is just about to go out to visit a wood-turning buddy, I'll expect him back when I see him!! Thank goodness it's milder today, but very wet outside - too wet for gardening, unfortunately. I'll throw a couple of loads of washing in and apart from that I might just have another lazy day. I could get used to this!

I hope everyone has a good day.

Plant - we posted together. Enjoy your NT meeting. Your coat sounds very useful! You'll miss your shopping trips with DIL, but I hope she likes her new job.

                                Good moaning each.
What a beautiful sight Lizzie! Nanto2 that’s a beautiful sight too. I haven’t had breakfast yet and I could do that plateful justice. (I would hate myself after though, so glad it’s only a pic!).
How I hate these miserable days. I just cannot get motivated. Nothing much going on in Grauntiedom, I am going to collect the youngest two CG from school later, they are not local, so it’s a trip round the M25. That’ll be fun on a Friday but worth the sumptuous feast prepared by DD2.
Off to have a breakfast of fruit and yoghurt and a gallon of coffee.
                                Have a good day ladies.
