Daisy, I see them all on FB, so they are still breathing
It would be nice to see them here and know how they are though. We miss our regulars. I wonder how Christmas with Libras DD went for example .

Gem - that's good to know, but I miss their regular posts on here.

It would be lovely to hear that Libra's DD is making progress.

        Raining this morning.
Gem, a pity you had to miss the ice trail, but better safe than sorry.

Had some porridge earlier, off for a cup of coffee now. Back later.

          Good morning everyone.

Nan2 we could do the Ice Trail this morning. Our only plans today are to go to my mum s this afternoon. I doubt we will go into town though. We have seen the photos and they look lovely, as always, but melting yesterday so I fear they wont be as defined today. Such a shame as people travel from all over to see these. It's a good tourist weekend for York.

I have some holiday planning and printing to do, and I hope to clean mum's bathroom when I am there. OH will come too and paint the drainpipe if it's not raining.

          Have a good day ladies.

Good morning Nanto, Gem and all who follow later.

Nanto - I love porridge. Do you make it from scratch or use Oats so simple?

Gem - what a pity about the ice trail, but you'll be getting some important jobs done for your holiday, and hopefully at your mum's as well. I don't think the forecast was great though - you might be due for some rain.

I'm hoping it stays dry here - OH says he'll power clean the front drive - much needed. It looks a mess and will get slippery if it's not done soon.

I've blitzed the kitchen this morning. So my halo is glowing. If it stays dry I'll try and get some weeding done.

            Have a good day ladies.

It's very wet here Daisy, it must have rained overnight.
You have already blitzed the kitchen????

              I am still in bed!

Good morning. Dull and dreary here but dry and not cold, so that’s a bonus.

i gave the conservatory a good clean yesterday, moved the furniture and hoovered everywhere. My goodness, it was mucky! I think we are going to get new seating out there. At the moment we have two sofas from Ikea, very comfy but heavy and hard for me to move to clean the floor. We’ve had them over 10 years so time for a change. They’re still in good condition so I will see if the Salvation Army would like them. We are going to look at wicker or rattan furniture, something light and it will give us more room as well.

DD will be home on Tuesday 🙂. Spoke to her yesterday and she says she is ready to come home, looking forward to seeing her again.

Dinner is all prepared, had a cooked breakfast (P’s special request) so we are popping out to the garden centre to look at their furniture etc to see what’s around. Probably have a coffee too. Have a good day everyone 🌞

Enfys, our conservatory (which has gradually tuned into dual purpose play room/conservatory!) needs a good clean too. Like you we would love to change the furniture. My mum bought us the 2 cane sofas however as moving in gift. Second hand but in perfect condition and a good bargain. Mum would be horrified if we got rid of them, so for now they stay!

We must all have the cleaning bug! I moved everything in here last week, got the cooker done this morning and as it is pouring with rain I did the balcony, best to do it in the rain then it all rinses away.

                      Good morning ladies ,

Daisy have your sofas still got the Fire tag on ? the Charities wont take them if they haven't , we took ours off the old sofa and when we tried to give our sofa away no one would have it because of the safety laws .

Gem its wet here too S may not get the drain pipe painted today for your Mum

Enfys I bet you are looking forward to DD's return , hope you find what your looking for in seating , its so hard to choose isn't it.

Lizzie a good idea to do the balcony in the rain saves rinsing When does your son come to Washington ?

Nanto I love porridge I like it with either blue berry's or honey mmmm

Well its been a few days of cleaning for all of us hasn't it , I have blitzed through this morning , pulled all the furniture into the middle of the room to get behind and under , only the bedrooms to hoover but the hoover ran out of charge by time it came to them , I do have a Dyson ball plug in but its too heavy to lift for me so I will give my stick a couple hours charge then do them,

Had my shower and just sitting with dressing gown on , we meeting DD and Family and friends for late lunch , well 2.45 its booked for so I wont bother getting dressed just yet .

Think when we come back we may be meeting GS1's new Girlfriend he said when they are out walking the dog later will we be in
Sounds so strange talking about his girlfriend , where has my innocent baby gone

Have a good day ladies , nice to see people looking in and waving hopefully they will post soon xxx

Oma, he will be in Washington on Thursday, Leeds first, he gets around! It is raining now as well so my balcony will be lovely and clean.

Oma, that is lovely, GS wants you to meet his new girlfriend. I bet the girls are queuing up to be his girlfriend.

I love porridge but usually make it with the packet 2 min ones. Sunny atm but it has been raining again. Sil has just knocked on my door, he is doing some tidying up but it is like a quagmire walking on the grass. He only likes to do jobs where he can use his hedge trimmer, he doesn't get a lot of spare time, he prefers to go for a walk and it is the 6 nations rugby time of the year

Enfys I am sure you are looking forward to your DD's return. Hope you find some good reductions on the conservatory furniture.

                            Well, this cleaning binge continues!

My OH is currently kitted out as though he's off for 6 months in the Artic on a trawler and is power cleaning the front drive. We've got a very wide dropped kerb so he's cleaned all that pavement area as well - loads of dead leaves and debris from the conker tree.

He's just starting on the path, but the caravan's battery needs charging so he can't move that right now.

Do you think spring is in the air?

                              Nesting Daisy??

I'm sure it will be lovely to meet GS's girlfriend Oma, but yes, it lets us know our GC are growing up. Not that I ever want my precious GD to have a boyfriend!!!

I have printed off everything I can think of to do with our holiday.
I have two different Orlando Busy Days Guides to go through, work out and then plan our itinerary. Online Fastpass booking in a month's time.
I am going over to my mum's soon, but I can work on it later and tomorrow.

                                Everyone been busy today.
I cooked beef stew in the slow cooker this morning.
3 lots of it for pies, which i will do tomorrow. 2 lots for serving with dumplings or yorkshire puddings.
I don't make porridge from scratch. I buy the 2 minute microwave ones.
Prefer the plain to the flavoured ones.
Just steam cleaned the kitchen floor.
Managed to write a letter for friend in Oz, so will post that tomorrow.
Forgot to say, after this mornings rain, it's turned out lovely.
                                Very mild and sunny.
