Forgot to say, hubby's Christmas present came this morning.
He picked it,i paid for it. Its a rubber liner for the car boot.
He's never had bothered with one before, but decided to get one with having a new car.

GD2 is here, watching tv with grandad. I'm upstairs on the computer, waiting for Emmerdale starting.

Nanto - Gem beat me to the Advent calendar with a splendid Christmas tree. My day will come, I'm sure.

OH wanted me to get some sort of lining for the boot of my new (to me) car, but I said I didn't want one. I mainly use the boot for the dogs and like to put layers of nice soft blankets and towels down for them. It's easy to take them out and wash them - after a good shake. And I can still get at the little cubby holes and shelves and bag hooks in there if I need them. But I guess your OH has other uses for his car boot, so it will protect the car. Mine's permanently covered in nose marks (Cooper) and hair (Eva).

It's lovely that GD2 will be so close at her Dad's, and ideal that you and your OH can help her if necessary with lifts, etc.

WeeGranny - your chin's all ready for Christmas now. Have you got one of those gadgets for cleaning Venetian blinds? We once had a house with a high long window on the turn in the stairs - I'm afraid it didn't get cleaned too often. And neither do the Velux windows in the ceilings of our kitchen and dining room.

Mimi and WeeGranny - I haven't started our cards yet either. I did get them out ready to start last night but my eyes were aching and I didn't feel like trying to write in artificial light.

Clover - I hope you don't mind me asking - how did you get on at the doctor's today?

Sorry Daisy! No one had done it by 9.30 so I thought I'd better!

We have a lining in our car because of the wheelchair , things tend to slide around on it but its better than muddy dirty wheel marks , it can be wiped clean , Dog doesn't like it though
WG you will look all clean shaven and polished for Christmas

Daisy your ceiling is so high its impossible to clean them windows regularly and anyway you wont see any marks unless you use a telescope

I wrote my cards out a few days ago , I posted the ones I needed too the others are ready to hand out , I was going to post neighbours last night but the wind was wild so will maybe do it today ,

No lovely sunrise today, but its a lot milder.

Just 1 card left to go, and hubby will pop round with it after the weekend.

Hoping for an easier day today, once i get home from in laws.

Gem - don't apologise!! It was a lovely graphic. xx Well done, Mimi - first past the post today. xx

Nanto - Good morning - opening the window on a bright new day. It's much warmer here and I'm actually quite glad to see rain!

Oma - those Velux windows get cleaned on the outside more often, because the window cleaner gets up on the roof to do them, bless him.

I'll start writing our cards as soon as I get a bit of free time. We're out most of today and have visitors for the day on Sunday. I think tomorrow might be mostly cooking and cleaning.

We're out for coffee and our first Christmas lunch today. Friends are picking us up at 10 o'clock. It's an annual event - OH's pensioners' club - and we like to get there early and hopefully get a seat by the lounge window with a sea view. It should be quite spectacular today as it's very windy. (Enfys - the Miramar in Bournemouth). I think lunch itself will be a bit crowded - over 200 people going.

I hope everyone's ok this morning. Chat later.

                  Good morning lovely people.

No more risky ladder climbing I hope WG!
                  Have a lovely lunch Daisy.
I hope you get your easy day Nan2.

GS2 day today. No GD as there is an after school event. I will see her tomorrow though.
I won't get any card writing done I don't think, but the weekend will be Christmas cake making ( postponed many times!) and card writing.

                  Have a good day everyone.

Just getting ready to go to our last WI meeting before Christmas. Still feeling sore in the neck area, but have my osteopath appointment this afternoon, hope he can help.

Had a nice lunch out yesterday but otherwise it’s been a quiet week. Have made no preparations for Christmas, can’t seem to get enthusiastic this year. Need to write a few cards but have cut down dramatically on the number I send. We are looking forward to our little break , just over a week to go. We will be ready for it.

The car is now looking good again, they made a really good job and very reasonable too. Just a little two man place not far from us but such a good job. P is very happy 🙂

Have a good day everyone, keep warm 🌞

Morning all , I’ve been awake most of the night, hence that’s what I was able to put a picture on our advent calendar.

Just written a few Christmas cards out but OH made a cup of coffee and I have stopped, it doesn’t take much to distract me .
Waiting for Tesco delivery now . I really must get back and finish them .

Hope I find you all well .
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning, I will see if I can catch up! We had a good evening for Dec 5th, DIL had made the most delicious onion soup, loved it. The girls got mostly clothes etc, nice dresses for them both, they got me a Netflix membership, got to sort that out yet. I have been to the hospital in Delft this morning for a hearing test, I will get the results on Tuesday, very busy there, both inside and out, it is a new hospital and now they seem to be sorting the roads out, luckily I went in the car and try and park before the hospital as it was chaos there.

Love the wreaths Qwerty. I hope you managed to find the lost hat.

Nanto, it is a shame about GD moving out, she will soon settle in with her father.

Daisy, enjoy your lunch. It will be windy on the coast.

Wee granny, watch what you are doing on the ladder, I am on my own and have quite a few storage cupboards that need steps to reach, they didn't use to, but I am shrinking! I tell myself not to do it early morning or late evening as no one would see me!!!!! Did it this morning though so need to listen to myself.

If I have missed anyone, sorry, oh yes the Christmas cards, I live in apartments, 40 of them in the block and neighbours put cards in each others boxes, me, I can't see the point, I see them every day and we are always there for each other, well, most of us anyway. Will have to make my mind up whether or not to do it this year. That is how I am feeling at the moment!!!!

Christmas cards that will be delivered via the Scouts have been ‘posted’ . We take them to the community shop down the road from us and they will deliver them one Sunday before Christmas

OH is busy watching our neighbours gazebo swinging about in the strong winds and heavy downpours. It’s from the neighbour’s garden that backs on to the top of our garden. He is hoping the wind takes it away from us and so am I , he will go ballistic if it lands on his precious lawn !!!
The gazebo was erected last month, why put such a flimsy thing up this time of year heaven only knows. Because we are at the top of a fairly steep hill even the summer breezes can be a bit strong.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
