Lots in our little cul-de-sac put lights outside but not ornaments it looks very festive .

How are we all today ? everyone seems so busy ,

Im having a hot drink then I have Hospital appointment at 11 hate mid day appointments you seem to either not get things done or rush around before you go .

Spoke to my Sister this morning , she's ok but feeling a bit unsure of herself walking around , think its knocked her confidence a bit will go see her at weekend .

Have a good day everyone , Gem enjoy the lights and fish tea xxx

I hope your sister continues to improve Oma. You are well ahead with your Christmas preparations.

I have had my warfarin checked, had my knuckles rapped as I didn't let them know I was taking antibiotics. Reading okay but want to see me again in a month. Off to my OAP's party in half an hour, a gentleman called Lawrence is picking me up, sounds very posh.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

I love chocolate raisins Nanto but I don't buy them as I would eat the whole bag all at once

Oma, i could easily eat the whole bag at once.
But i try to eat them in moderation.

Afternoon one and all, getting pretty chilly out there wasn’t so bad this morning.
I had a visit from my step gg/s Issac he’s 5 months old now and a real pleasant little man always smiling, felt a bit maternal to him although we have no blood connection whatsoever.
Oma and Mimi thanks for asking about the teeth , it doesn’t happen all the time , I can go 2 dys and it doesn’t bother me other rimes it’s twice a day that’s why he thinks it’s neuralgia, but gave me no advice on how to deal with it , just come back if it gets bad, well it only lasts about 10/15 minutes but it’s very painful at that moment I can’t speak to anyone.
Oma glad your sister is ok well as far as she can be after a fall.
Gem the loss of your kitty will keep getting to you , it’s going to take time. We have a street near us that has all the lights on the houses we donate to charity when we have a look, there are wires hanging out of doors and windows it’s frightening the electric that’s going through, we have lights along our front windows and door , wreath lit up on the door, and some spikes with blue lights stuck in the garden, also 3 trees with lights so I have no room to talk .
Enjoy the fish supper Gem 🍽

                      Got it now and replied

The children enjoyed the lights, GS was very excited and wants to go again! The restaurant booking was a good lure to get him away after 2 rounds. GD suggested the restaurant may be closing, so then GS was hurrying us up
He still made fuss at home time for DD, but we are all working to try to stop that!

Ooops, I'm a bit late getting back!

Plant - I hope your warfarin check was ok even though you have to go back in a month.

Gem - GS2 must be getting so excited at the thought of Christmas, but booking the restaurant was a good strategy!

Enfys - it sounds as though you escaped the wind today! It was pretty fierce.

Qwerty - he sounds a lovely little lad - nice to have baby cuddles. I hope the pain in your teeth settles down. Does the cold weather make it worse?

There is a bungalow near DS2's which does fantastic lights - the whole garden is lit up with wintery scenes - and house itself almost disappears behind the display. They collect quite a lot for charity each year.

We did most of our Christmas shopping this morning - a concentrated effort, but worth it. OH has been out tonight and I seem to have been on the phone or prepping dog food all night - I've just sat down as OH got home. We'll probably put decorations up on Sunday.

Tomorrow we're going up to DS1's to help them with some jobs on the house. The builders have nearly finished and as you can imagine after 3 months of work there's plenty of dust to clear up, and hopefully we can start moving furniture back into their proper places so DS and family can move back in next week-end. They won't have a kitchen, but the electrician has said he'll wire up their old cooker, and DS and OH can plumb in an old Belfast sink. The new kitchen doesn't arrive until sometime in January.

I'm shattered after a busy day. Night, night everyone.

Daisy, we are putting the decorations up tomorrow.

Going to Sheffield today, not been for a while.

Good morning Nan2, decorations for us today, or over the weekend at least! Good morning everyone else.

Daisy, the general opinion amongst us at the York lunch was that you do far too much!! We may have to kidnap you for enforced rest

Today we intend to decorate the main tree and put up the outside lights. The rest of the decorations may be done today, or over the next couple of days. I will be happy once the tree and outside lights are done.
We need to go to the post office and library this morning.
Tonight we are going to friends for a meal. As we always host New Years Eve, these friends host a pre Christmas night every year.

                            Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good morning, Nanto, Gem and all who pop in later. I love that pretty graphic, Nanto.

Gem - I thought my ears were burning!! Perhaps I just moan more than other grannies!! But thank you for the kind thoughts. xx

I had a chat with DIL1 last night about 'jobs for today' - and I volunteered to take our Karcher window cleaner up and do the windows! Am I mad, I ask myself. LOL

Gem - enjoy your evening out. It's a lovely idea to have a pre-Christmas get together.

Nanto - I hope Sheffield isn't too busy. A friend who went to Southampton last Saturday said it was quite quiet - I think a lot of people shop on Sundays now, and of course, online. I was surprised the shops we went to yesterday weren't busier.

                              Have a good day everyone.
