Good morning all.
Welcome back Qwerty. Oma's suggestion is a good one!
I'm sure your delivery man will be very pleased Nan2.
Daisy, I hope your busy day goes smoothly and the car gets its tyres done.
Busy day here.
I have a review meeting for my sister at 12. That's about half an hour's drive. Then I have to be at GS1's school ( again, about half an hour drive) for 2.30 to take him to his school Christmas fair. When the meeting was being arranged I thought I was collecting GS from his after school club at 4. This week I found out that club is cancelled this week due to the Xmas Fair, and in fact he needs picking up early in order to go to it, and meet Santa! It should all fit in, but I will have to tell them at the meeting I will be leaving by 2pm.
Have a good day everyone.āA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.ā ā Unknown

Good morning everyone, I had just returned home from the school run!!!!!! Never seen such traffic! DS1 had to be there for 8-15, that was fine, going to the other school for DS2, both traffice and all the older children cycling to school, the police are very strict at the moment about lights on the cycles, a good thing as cycles have right of way on the roundabouts and if they have no lights on it is very difficult to see them.
We had a good meal out last night, enjoyed it more than I expected I would! The girls both loved it, when we got home DS1 had to study for a French test today at school, 10-30 by the time she had done it all. I sat and read a book to keep her company!
I will post a photo of what they have both made for the school DEC 5th surprise, DS2, they draw a name and make a surprise, when I saw it I really thought it was a chocolate letter!
Just got a message from my swim friend, meeting him for lunch so we can chat about his wife etc, I do get on well with him, have done from the first few lessons and that was 4 years ago. Nothing romantic or anything, just friends.
Good luck with the review Gem and your busy afternoon.
Thanks all, I will take care on my bike! There were quite a few accidents yesterday with the black ice, in someplaces no frost at all whilst in others the black ice, there are so many accidents this morning, heard it on the car radio, not in this area today but from what I heard the North of Holland. If you get it, watch what you are doing!

Sounds like you had a lovely time with your GD's Lizzie, very pretty girls. Be careful on that ice.
Gemini, I hope your meeting goes well, then the Christmas Fair, that's your day taken care of.
Welcome home Qwerty, you certainly hit the ground running, new door to be fitted and Christmas shopping.
First of my Christmas lunches today, it is at one of the local Golf Clubs, not too far to drive.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

A quick 'hello' from me. Not quite so cold, but certainly not warm, but the sun's shining.
GD2's blocked up nose from yesterday (Unstoppable thread) has developed into a full-blown cold so she's off school today, but not ill ill, if you see what I mean. So I've brought her over to our house and she's spent a couple of hours watching Peppa Pig. This is probably a sign she's not well because she thinks she's far too grown up to watch such childish programmes! Now she's drawing and I found a packet of 'blow pens' which don't blow, but we're using them to do some stencilling. When I discussed lunch with her - egg and chips, sausage and chips or fish fingers and chips - her prompt reply was sausage, egg and chips! She's obviously heard the saying 'feed a cold'!!
So my plans for today are on hold!!
I've had a glance through your posts but "someone" is calling 'Grandma!' very loudly - I'd better go.
