Enfys - no wonder P is feeling lethargic. It's not fit to go out and I think we're all feeling fed up with the endless rain. Finding some projects in the house seems a good idea. Your doctor is being cautious and sensible suggesting the 24 hour monitor. It can't do any harm and is reassuring for you, too. The floods are dreadful. It's not just the water and worse coming right through your house, it takes months for the fabric of the building to dry out. It must be heartbreaking.

Gem - for someone who has no plans for today, you sound very busy. Don't overdo things and hurt your knee - you're on a countdown to Florida. I think if you and OH are taking care of your mum on DD3's wedding day, that is quite enough to keep you busy. It is after all your DD's wedding and you want to be able to relax and be the 'mother of the bride'. People should be looking after you! xx

    Edit:
Oma - I wasn't ignoring you - you posted while I was typing. Yes, you can get more done while they are out. Between OH and Eva under my feet everything takes twice as long! Still, I wouldn't part with them. I've stripped the bed and got that in the wash, spent a bit of time online, tidied the fridge out and cleaned the shelves. Just off for a quick shower and then back to work!

Daisy, it doesn't seem to be that sort of wedding! More of a DIY thing, I just go with the flow.
The Tom Hanks film isn't on today now, and the times tomorrow don't work for us. I want to see The Invisible Man but OH doesn't, we both want to see Emma but it's not on until 10.50 pm!! We may see 1917, but it isn't our first choice.
Daisy, don't worry about my knee, injection day on Thursday!

Hi all, I didn’t make a big thing of my knee op. It was a fairly straightforward op. I had a torn meniscus ligament, they repaired it using keyhole surgery. I had to chuckle. They asked me if if I was very sporty. I replied “absolutely not.” Apparently it is a common injury for rugby players. I really don’t fit that category at all. The worst thing about the whole procedure was not being able to drive for two weeks. I’m back on the road again now.

Love the rainbow Nanto, well we can pretend. Have a good trip into town.

Gemini, you certainly needed that sleep. Sounds like a busy day, don't overdue it. When is DD3 getting married? I love the way your family meets up to discuss arrangements. We seem to use Chinese whispers. My Sil said my DD should have worked for MI5.

Good news about your ECG Enfys, your OH has cabin fever by the sound of it.

My tummy feels a bit queer this morning, I have had a bit of pain and upset tum all week. I think I ate too many roasted veg last weekend and Monday, too many peppers probably.
Just received a parcel from dear Nana of knitted squares for our WI project, they are lovely, I will confess that I didn't knit them. No rugby this weekend, it looks as if the Corona Virus is going to upset the tournament.

Sunshine - are you were tempted to take up rugby now your knee's fixed - after all you're a card-carrying veteran now you've had the injury to prove it.

Plant - oh dear, I do hope you feel better soon. You'd think that vegetables wouldn't upset you because they're supposed to be good for you.

Nana - you are a star knitting all those squares.

I'm trying to give the house a good airing but the wind's gusting about all over the place and spooking Eva every time it bangs a door or rattles something in the garden.

Friends cried off from meeting up for coffee, because of the weather.
So, we decided to just go to the supermarket. When we came out of Asda, the sun was shining.
Came home with the shopping, then said we would go into town.
Hubby made a cuppa, and we changed our minds about town.
Both of us had some jobs to do.
              Sun is still shining now.

I think I might have Gemini's problem tummy. Can't remember what she found helped. I t was lovely and sunny here so I went into the squelchy garden to chop of the dried hydrangea heads and it started to hail very heavily so was chased in, now it is sunny again. I think I will risk it and pop to the chemist for some fibre gel. Mine is out of date.

We’ve just had a heavy hail storm but the sun is shining now. Got everyone coming for lunch tomorrow so I’ve been busy preparing. Out to a Thai restaurant this evening.

Plant, those Yakult drinks, a couple a day can help.

Pleased to hear you're recovering from your op' Sunshine. I didn't remember you were having surgery.

Oma, sounds delish. Without looking up on Recipes section, have you put the recipe on there? One I'd like to try.

Plant, pretend they're your's, I don't mind ...unless your knitting is better & you don't want to own them.😂 I actually knit 10 more but unpicked them as they came up bigger than 5" square. Sorry to hear you have a poorly tummy.

Enfys my DD1 has to wear a 24hr monitor but not sure when. I did too & they detected an irregular heartbeat. No worries as it's controlled by meds & I was soon discharged from the Clinic.

Gem & Plant, both involved in weddings. I love weddings. Not long before you go to your's Nan2 is it?

Stormy here through the night but gorgeous sunshine since before lunchtime. OH has walked the dog & said it's windy & freezing cold. At least it's stopped raining.

Nanto, what a pity your friends cried off, and then the sun came out. It seems to be that sort of day, doesn't it. April showers over a month early.

I think the sun is warming up a bit though. I noticed the automatic ventilator had opened the windows in the greenhouse about lunch time. that means it was 23C inside the greenhouse. Outside felt more like 3 in the cold wind though.

Plant - I do hope your tummy soon feels better - stay in the warmth. The hydrangeas will wait. I don't do mine for at least another month.

Avo - I'm sure you're having a busy day, but it will make things easier tomorrow and give you more time to spend with your little GCs. The Thai restaurant sounds a lovely way to wind down after a busy day. How is your little doggy doing?

Oma - potato bread sounds wonderful. Lots of sins all wrapped up in a delicious slice!

Nana - you're right, it's the wedding season on GRU! How lovely. I think Nanto's is next Saturday???? Nanto's GD1's I mean!

Eva's not at all keen to go out in this wind, it's really howling round our house.

DD's wedding is in June Plant, a few days after my birthday. Veg affect me badly too. Try a hot water bottle on your tummy.
I hope you have nice meal Avo.

No cinema for us in the end. 1917 was full for the 6 pm showing (luckily I checked online this afternoon) and we didn't really want to go out later. I find I like the idea of going out more than the reality on cold winter nights anyway!

Hubby was in the greenhouse today, and said it was lovely and warm with the sun on it.

                              Raining heavily AGAIN.
