Good to hear you all had a good lunchtime catch up Daisy, getting together with friends is lovely
The nice (ish) weather didn't arrive here until about 4 or 5 o clock Nan2.

I have just found out that GD broke up for half term today. This is a lovely surprise as I thought she was at school tomorrow. More time with her!

Morning all. For some reason I've been waking around 5am & not being able to get back to sleep again. Haven't looked out of the window yet so not sure on the weather.

Following on from another post, my sister has to have laser treatment on her eyes to prevent glaucoma, closed angled something or other? Said my brother & I should be checked too. My optician's keeping an eye on me anyway, excuse the pun.👀 Daisy you will know more about this than me.

Hoping you all have a good day. I'll be quilting.😉🤣

There is every possibility that we are going to have a drop of rain today!

          How is everyone this morning

Nana I had an eye test on Wednesday and we discussed glaucoma as my dad had it . He ignored his failing sight until I made him get an appointment with an optician, by then it had claimed a fair bit of his sight.
She said that they are now able to control it a lot better now if they discover ASAP so it’s good that your optician is keep an eye on you.
Because of family history with glaucoma I have been having an eye test every year since I was 40 and I will certainly continue with having them.

Qwerty good to see you back .

Oma 9 is early to start one’s period isn’t it . I was almost 14 when I started mine . When I left school, ( school leaving age was 15 then ) , my one friend hadn’t even started hers.

Apart from Tesco arriving this morning I don’t have a lot planned.

          Have a good day everyone

            Good morning all.
Nan2, it's half term here next week too, which is why I wasn't expecting GD today. It must be a training day tacked onto the start of the week.
They keep a check on my eyes for macular degeneration, as it is on both sides of my family.

GC today, nothing planned as I didn't realise we had a full day with them both
Tonight I am going to another of SIL's pop up restaurant nights. DD3 usually does the waitressing but has to rest her foot, so will be one of the diners. I will sit with, one of her uni friends I haven't seen for a long time, and my friend M.

            Have a good Friday everyone.

Good morning one and all. It's a bit mehhhh here today but I think rain is forecast!

Nana - I'm glad they're getting on with treating your sister's glaucoma. I don't know much about it except it can run in families and is best caught early. My OH has macular degeneration - like Gem's auntie. I know her mum has it as well, but not sure which type she has. Yes, you should definitely be having regular check ups.

Nanto- Happy Friday! Do you go away tomorrow? Sorry I've lost track.

Gem - that sounds like a nice day ahead. An extra day with GD followed by a lovely evening at your SIL's pop-up restaurant. I hope DD3's foot is ok.

Oma - at last your new freezer's arriving. Storm's lunch sounds much better than ours will be, lucky boy! I can just imagine him sniffing round the door like a Bisto Kid and quietly creeping in! Cooper's a counter surfer as well and I have to remember to keep everything covered and out of reach. The trouble is Cooper's so big if it's out of his reach it's also out of mine!

Enfys - I hope there's less soreness today, and P is feeling better too.

Clover - how are you today? Sending hugs. xx (Please don't feel you have to reply if you don't feel like it. xx)

I'm not sure which/how many GCs we'll be having over half term, so I want to get both bedrooms ready today - so that means more sorting out and then cleaning! Hey ho, but once it's done it's done.

                Have a good day, ladies.

And I did it again....overslept, woke up at 9.15! So we have just had breakfast and are lounging around still in our pjs! Just as well we had no appointments or anything. Still feeling sore but very rested. P is Improving slowly too.

We will just go with the flow again today, my body is telling me to rest so that is what I’m going to do.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Daisy he can easily reach the back of the work top so everything has to be covered or he thinks its his ,

He normally has raw food but now and then I cook chicken and rice for him and he licks the bowl dry ,
Currys came with the Freezer so I gave him his lunch early kept him occupied while they brought it in

Been for my annual MOT and passed with flying colours! Same weight as last year, BP spot on and blood sent off for testing. Got my flu jab at same time so good job done.

Gem, it sounds as if your DD had the same type of injection as I had in my hip. I was amazed at how quick it was. There was I ready for a nice lie down and she said that's it done! Touch wood, but it does seem to have done the trick. Much less pain in hip and lower back, so fingers crossed.

OH gone off on train to town. He has an appointment where there is no parking and buses from here don't go anywhere near it. However the railway station is just round the corner, so he's gone to check exactly where it is. Hoping he doesn't have any problem with the ticket machine at our local station.

Oma, DD's dog loves chicken and rice too as did our Great Dane! MInd you she used to leave food on a Sunday because we used to give her the left over gravy....bowl was licked clean!

Raining here again and I'm off to Sainsbury's, luckily the car park is under cover.

I’ve just done my first online shop! Phew, took a while but it’s done now and will be delivered tomorrow afternoon. I also found a voucher for £10 off so that was good. They bring it into the kitchen and it’s all in crates so no plastic bags. Fingers crossed it’s all ok.

                              Pouring with rain here.

WG, so pleased you passed your MOT with flying colours.

Daisy,we go away early Tuesday morning.
Only for 4 nights, hubby gets too bored if we go any longer.

On Sunday, i ordered some trousers from Bon Marche.
Then on Monday i heard they might be going under.
Pleased to say, items arrived today and i am happy with them.

Enfys - hurrah, you're definitely on the mend. I'm sure getting a good sleep helps. Good to hear P is feeling better too. Well done on doing your first shop online. I do hope everything is ok. I get a bit cross when things have very short Use By dates on them, I don't mind the occasional errors - mine or theirs.

Wee Granny - Well done you! Passing your MOT with flying colours is great. I hope Gem's DD3's injection is as successful as yours was. Fingers crossed tht your OH's train journey goes well. It's much better than driving round looking for a non-existent parking space.

Nanto - not long to your holiday! Even 4 days is a nice break and hopefully you'll get some stunning Autumn colours too. You ordered your BM trousers just in time.

Oma - If Currys had to deliver anything here while Eva was having her dinner they'd have to be jet propelled. 15 seconds and it's gone! You spoil that doggy! We raw-feed Eva, too, but this morning I had to defrost her breakfast because I'd forgotten to get it out of the freezer last night. Cross with myself and still half asleep I put the microwave on High instead of Defrost, so she ended up with a cooked breakfast - lamb tripe!!! The whole house stank of it.
