Well done WG on getting back to the gym. I hope you don't ache tomorrow. I think the ironing pile breeds in the dead of night when I'm not watching.

As expected, it's raining here as well. OH, bless him, has gone supermarket shopping. Trying to cater for the family next week is a bit of a nightmare since I don't know who's coming when and how long they're staying.

Mimi - just walking in the rain, eh! Don't you think that would make a good song title.

Enfys - you have been a busy bee. I hope the shopping is all ok. Good to hear P is feeling up to a bit of hobby time.

I'm getting very little done today - I still feel as though I've got no energy. I blame the weather. Well, it can't be my age, I'm just a youngster. Haha.

Its finally stopped raining. Rained here for over 24 hours non stop.
We had about 1½ hours in town, then went for something to eat, then called in supermarket for a few bits.

WG, hope you don't ache too much after the gym.

Gem, its good that you didn't have to get wet last night.

GD2 and her partner are here, so we were invited (well she asked) if we could pop around and see the baby and of course big brother. I did get a hold and her eyes were open, she is so sweet. GS1 is getting their house straight to their liking, even planning to remove a wall, as you do. GGS was very excited when more visitors arrived (friends) and insisted they played cars with him and look at his pumpkin. It has rained and still raining here, forecast for a good week to come.

Lovely to hold a new baby Plant.

It has rained non stop here, very dismal all day. My shopping arrived, right on time and no problems. The very nice driver out it all in the kitchen, explained what to do if I found anything wrong but all was OK. It all fitted well in my newly cleaned out cupboards so that was a satisfying thing to do. I don’t think I would do it very often, but certainly a good idea if you can’t get to the shops. I still like to pick out my own veg and fruit.

I finished my wristwarmers and watched a film so all went to plan. Feeling very achey at the moment so am sitting with a hot water bottle on my sore chest, the pain killers will kick in soon though.

          Enjoy your evening everyone.

I hope you feel better soon Enfys. I'm glad your online delivery went well. The first is the hardest to do!
I bet it was lovely to see the baby again Plant, and your little GGS too of course!

The rain eventually stopped and by late afternoon it was quite nice, if soggy underfoot.
We went out do a few random things including buying new golf shoes for OH, and we had lunch out.

Enfys - well done on your first online shop. It's a nice feeling when you've got lovely clean, tidy cupboards and everything goes in neatly. Resting this afternoon sounds like a good idea. Does a warm bath help?

Plant - how lovely to have both your GGCs visiting. I bet GGS is very proud of his little sister, although it sounds as though he was more interested in this cars and pumpkin! Good girl, GGD, having her eyes open for great grandma.

Nanto and Gem - I bet you were both glad the rain finally eased off.

I've had a rather unproductive day, so I'll have to get organised tomorrow and get things ready for GDs on Monday. You can't rely on the weather at this time of year so I want to have some activities lined up, just in case. They're both really 'into' Halloween this year and want to cover their mum and dad's bedroom in bats. I see cutting out and gluing ahead!

                    Good morning ladies .
Lovely bright sunny morning here, chilly though!
                    Nearly holiday time Nan2

Golf for OH with a friend this afternoon. I am meeting DD3 for lunch. Her OH is away visiting his parents , she and I are going to see my mum together this afternoon. I will nip off to do some sneaky bathroom cleaning while DD and my mum are talking.
Tonight OH and I are eating out, another of our friends group has a birthday celebration. This will be the last until February. We have had 3 in a short time. We have to leave here by 6. DD has no car this weekend so I will be driving her home when we leave my mums, so I will need to keep my eye on the time today.

                    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Nanto, Gem and all who follow.

Yes, it's definitely a better day today - high thin cloud and a watery sun.

Nanto - it's nice to pack at leisure - I hate having to rush because I always choose the wrong things.

Gem - enjoy your lunch with DD3. Is her foot ok now? I'm sure your mum will be pleased to see her. So no cooking for you today - two meals out is fantastic.

I need to get the bedroom sorted out today before GDs arrive tomorrow. I should have done it yesterday, but I really didn't feel like it. Plus a quick wave of the yellow floppy thing and a run round with the sucky up thingy and that will do. Not an exciting day!

                            Good morning all.
I hope no one has been effected by the floods .
In this area as a city we are pretty much cut off from some areas. Our train service to Wales has been suspended with a bus replacement service.
My dear friend has succumbed to to floods , it’s all in her kitchen and sitting room .

Oma one of my last memories of my mum is of her putting her clocks an hour forward when they should have gone back an hour. She was two hours in front of the rest of the country bless her
Taking about changing the clocks , to quote my dad ‘ it gets late early tonight ‘ .

                            Have a restful Sunday ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oh dear Mimi, what a lot of water I noticed how very high the river was when I was out yesterday.

Once DD2 and SIL, many years ago, pre parenthood days, put their clock the wrong way, meaning they were 2 hours out. She was slightly peeved when we phoned to ask what time we could expect them for Sunday lunch, as she didn't even think they were late by this time!

Good afternoon. What a lovely day today, nice and sunny and very warm. We actually went out for coffee this morning. First time out for nearly two weeks for DH, he was feeling much better and was desperate to get out. Just a short trip to the garden centre, a little mooch then coffee. I also popped into the Hobbycraft next door and bought more yarn, Like I really need any!! Back home now and looking forward to roast chicken with all the trimmings 🍗🍷
