Been to Aldi early as GS1 isn't well and when he wakes up he will ring for us to go get him , coming down with a cold I think , Dog at day care
We will have them both again tomorrow as I have swapped our days with his other Gran with me going to Brum ,

Mimi I have same problem with fingers when its cold they are agony , buying more comfy boots are worth the money in the long run xx

At last the rain has stopped here.
Tonight I am eating out with my 2 ex work friends. It is while since we met up as we had to reschedule this one as one of my friends wasn't well.
As it is my mum's birthday tomorrow I am dropping off her present and card today. I intended to go yesterday before going for GS, but the awful rain put me off. I need to go to the supermarket as well.

Good morning one and all. It's sunshine and heavy showers here, but I've risked a line full of white washing outside!

I didn't sleep very well last night - I kept waking up thinking about all the jobs we still need to do for my cousin's affairs - and this morning I can't remember a single one of them! I do feel much better though, even though my brain feels like scrambled eggs.

Mimi - poor you. You won't forget that awful walk home in a hurry, but it's a good job the doctor decided to get things moving straight away. It seems crazy that it can take 3 weeks for a blood test. Fashionable boots come in all sorts of styles these days, so I'm sure your new comfy ones will look bang up to date.

Nanto - fingers crossed your holiday will be safe. x

Clover - Iceland for a school trip sounds very adventurous. I'm sure she'll enjoy it though. I hope you are feeling ok today. Thank goodness your screening came back clear. It's always a bit of a relief, isn't it. I only remember things like light bulbs when I need to use them.

Grauntie - glad you enjoyed Downton Abbey. You could have done without the adventurous bus ride, I'm sure. Thank you for your good wishes for our meet up - I'm already getting in the Brum mode. We'll try and be good, but you know what temptation is like!

Oma - poor GS1. I hope it is just a cold and he gets over it quickly. There seem to be a lot about.

GGS here today, we have just been up to JL for my DD to get cards and some clothes for the baby. GGS chose some cars and then wanted to come straight home to play with them but was pleased to stop for a juice and a cake. Decorator getting on very well, I will give him with a key so he can lock up on Friday as I think I am going somewhere, not too sure where. GS1 said the baby is not feeding very well and her mum is getting very sore and frustrated.

Managed to get another holiday with Tui.Holidays are very few and far between.
We tried for a few places,but couldn't get booked in, so its off to Benidorm.
Wouldn't have been our first choice,we have there so many times, but its better than nothing.
Going 13 days later than we wanted,but not to worry.

Good news about the screening Clover.

I went to see mum and drop off her present and card. Then I went to PetstatHome for more grain-free cat foods, and Tesco for my mum's shopping, which I will take to her tomorrow. With OH's appointment in the morning and mum coming here for lunch I didn't think I would fit it in tomorrow!

At last the sun is coming out! Out for tapas with my friends tonight.

The price of holidays has shot up. They told us a lot of customers have been in to change their holiday,but haven't bothered because of the price rises.
We had to pay another £136. It cost £3.38 to change the insurance.
The hotel we have booked is lovely,we have stayed there before.

Plant - how lovely the decorators can get on with things while you are elsewhere - relaxing and enjoying yourself (I hope!) Poor new mum - it's horrible being sore so I hope it soon passes.

Thanks for my mum's birthday wishes She keeps saying she cant believe she is that age. Last week she thought she was going to be 93. I think she was confusing herself with the queen

A wet night here and dull morning (has summer gone now??) It isn't currently raining however.
Off to the hospital for OH's appointment this morning. Then home to prepare lunch, then over to mum's to collect her for her birthday lunch here. DDs 1 and 3 are coming. DD2 has to go on a speed awareness course at 1.30 so can't join us for lunch She will call in to see mum first.
I must pack my case for Birmingham too. Including raincoat!

Bloods perfectly normal at OH's check up, so all being well that's it for another 6 months

Morning all, or is it afternoon already?

Been busy this morning . We had to pop to Tesco this morning for a few bits as I’m not having a Tesco delivery until Saturday as we are out tomorrow. I was going to go on my own but OH insisted on coming with me. This meant I had to get a wriggle on as I knew he wanted to be back to watch the rugby at 11.30.
I’ve washed the floors and looked at the ironing but decided that it can wait another day or two !
