Gem - after such a stressful day for you worrying about GS2 and the uncertainty of how your Mum would get on at the doctors you must be feeling very relieved. I hope she enjoyed her fish and chips. Sleep well tonight. xxx

            Good morning ladies.
Oh dear Nan2, both you and Oma seem to get by on very little sleep.
Waiting to hear back from DD how GS is and how the night went. Once she gets GD to school she will have more time.
Today is a free day for me, as I did my mum's shopping yesterday. However I have offered to help out with GS2 if needed, after his hospital stay yesterday. Thursday is his full day at nursery. I imagine he will be keen to go so we shall see. I'm happy to look after him at his home if DD wants to work there for a few hours. If she goes to the office she would bring him here.
All being well he will be here tomorrow for his usual day, then he and GD are staying overnight.

            Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Nanto, Gem and all who pop in later.

Nanto - poor you. It's hard to cope when you don't get much sleep. I don't know how people like you and Oma can be bright and breezy in the morning after such a bad night. Was there anything specific keeping you awake?

Gem - I do hope little GS is ok this morning. I'm sure DD is grateful you are there if needed.

OH has just gone off to the dentist, but his eye is still very red. He can see perfectly well out of it, but it looks awful. I'm meeting up with College friends for lunch, although I could really do with getting the lawn cut this afternoon. It hasn't rained for a few days and I think the lawn is as dry as it's going to get. I can see me doing it by torchlight if necessary!

Nana - I hope you slept ok last night and are feeling better this morning.

Enfys - I hope your meeting with the McMillan Nurse is positive and helpful - I'm sure it will be, but I'll be thinking of you.

              Have a good day everyone.

Had a day down the Suffolk coast yesterday and made the most of the sunshine. Even managed to get a couple of C******** presents!

Been up since crack of dawn as we're hoping to find the cause of a blocked down pipe. A trench has been dug and they've found water and I don't think the trench is very deep! Hopefully they can get it sorted out and repiped or whatever they need to do.

Off to the PO in a bit. I got a card saying the postie tried to deliver two parcels yesterday but they were too large for the letterbox. I have no idea what they can be as I haven't ordered anything recently. Only one way to find out!

Gem, I found my slippers! They were down the back of the shoe rack. How thay got there I've no idea, but at least I've found them.

Enjoy the rest of the day ladies x

Oma - J's appointment is about 15 miles away. Not much fun through the heavy morning traffic but I made sure he'd got his sunglasses just in case (ever the optimist, me!) Hopefully he'll be back before I go out to lunch. Poor GS1 - there are a lot of bugs going round here - GD1's school has been hard hit.

WeeGranny - you picked a nice day for your trip to the coast. Doesn't a bit of sea air do you good! I hope the parcelss are a nice surprise, and pleased your slippers have turned up at last.

Nanto - I don't suppose you really get used to not sleeping, so it must be very hard. x

WeeGranny, I am waiting for someone who can hopefully clear a blockage in my down pipe. Someone came last week and said it was blocked beyond the down pipe and gave me the name of someone who might be able to clear it with a high pressure machine. I do hope so, don't fancy having to have it dug up. Good luck with yours.

Poor you Nanto, I don't know how you and Oma cope with so little sleep. Do you think drinking tea during the night is a good idea as it has caffeine in it?

Gemini, that was good news about your mum's blood pressure. I hope your GS2 is over his nose bleeds. It must be very frightening for him to see blood pouring out of his nose. I used to hate dealing with nose bleeds when I worked at the school, it was such a job to stop them sniffing after it had stopped. When I arrived at school one day there was a girl in the medical room pinching her nose and by the time I got my coat off she had blood coming out of her eyes!! This was caused by someone who told her to pinch it in the wrong place.

Enfys as others have said I am sure the nurse will be very helpful and reassuring.

Daisy, enjoy your lunch, I hope OH's journey went okay.

Didn't want to get up this morning and go to Aqua but the water was lovely and warm and they are a grand crowd.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Plant, probably not a good idea about the tea, but its what i always do.
Oh that poor little girl, she must have been so frightened.

Enfys, hope you get some help from the nurse.

WeeGranny, I don’t suppose you came across a dress of mine at the back of your shoe rack ? I lost it back in the beginning of the summer and I have looked everywhere for it ?
