WG at least you get to speak to Dr rather than wait forever for appointment

The Upholsterer that came out yesterday was like your Boiler man , it took less than 10 minutes to sort but he chatted for another 40 minutes ,

        Good morning everyone.

Oma - it's good to hear you're in less pain. I'm glad you stocked up on napkins and tealights - you never know when you might need them. J is a lucky boy, and I'm sure he will be delighted with his new electric guitar.

I feel for those grannies with tummy troubles. It's so horrible wondering how you'll be from one minute to the next and apart from the pain and discomfort you must be constantly working out where the nearest loo is or what you dare eat or drink. xx

Gem - fingers crossed your mum finally gets the gas fire sorted out. With winter approaching she needs to keep warm. Like you, I don't care for the journeys home in the dark. I always have the GDs at their house during term time, so both days I have to drive back across the Forest in the dark. My new car is blessed with wonderful lights which I hope will make it less stressful for me and safer for other road users.

Oma - I have had a couple of early nights and although I still feel weighed down with the amount of work still to be done I am less exhausted.

Both dogs are sleeping like puppies, and I've been the Total Domestic Goddess this morning and made a chicken casserole and a rice pudding for dinner! I'm not sure whether that yellow disk in the sky is the sun or my well-polished halo!

I have to be honest - it's the sun. No-one would give me a halo if they saw the ironing heaps in the dining room.

Oma, mum wont change her mind, I'm taking charge! I am not telling her how much it is costing exactly. She can very easily afford it and as I do her banking I will just pay it! If I say the full amount she may waver!
Maybe you picked up a bug when you were away WG. I hope you feel better soon.
You definitely deserve the Domestic Goddess badge today Daisy

Our cat is making up for a day off food by eating madly! She is supposed to eat small regular meals due to her diabetes so I had to call a halt in the end! She's sleeping on the living room floor in a patch of sunshine now. The vet gave her a 3 week antibiotic course yesterday. He was pleased with the lack of fluid build up, the tablets are obviously working.

Pleased to hear you are much better Oma. GS1 will appreciate your contribution towards his guitar.

Gemini, hope the new fireplace is going to be appreciated by your mother. Your cats keep bouncing back Gemini.

I came back yesterday evening from lovely sunshine to a cold dark rainy evening. I am expecting the carpet fitters tomorrow and then the furniture can go back and I can sleep in my bedroom. It will take me some time to get straight, the curtains are in the washing machine, I shall hang them up damp to avoid ironing them. I have to have new vertical blinds, so a visit to JL is needed.

Just a quick hello from me as DS has just left and I have a list as long as your arm of jobs to do.

Oma , good to hear that the pain is less today

WeeGranny hope the boiler has past its MOT

Mimi....yes the boiler is ready for the winter thanks!

Well i got my call from the surgery about an hour ago. I have to provide a sample for investigation since I've been abroad! Good luck with that I hear you all saying. OH went and collected my pot from surgery, came back and said the receptionist told him to make sure I filled.......I thought he was going to say the pot, but it was only the label on the outside!!
Got some diaorlyte and stuff to stop the diarrhoea. At least I don't have to go back to surgery tomorrow.

OH is due for his check up at hospital tomorrow, not really sure if I should be going with him in this state. Think I may phone them in morning to see what they say. I like to go to these appointments with him in case there's something new developing.

Have a good evening ladies x

Well, as you can guess this is me up with a lark, ready for whatever the day has to offer, which so far has been the cat bringing up a fur ball just outside the bedroom door. Then the neighbours cats fighting just outside the bedroom window.
I just adore being woken up like this....said no one ever!

Its the middle of another week ladies. Time seems to be flying by.

Oh dear Mimi,up early because of the cats.

Quite a mild start to the day here. Long may it continue.

                        Good morning ladies.

                        Welcome back Plant.
Mimi, one of our friends had to miss the group meal out at the weekend due to tummy troubles. She had had it for 10 days thought it had gone a couple of times, but it kept coming back. She hadn't even been abroad, perhaps there is some strange bug on the rounds!

Nan2, a very pleasant start to the day here too.
Weather wise at least. In the continuing cat saga the poor thing seems constipated today and not at all happy. I think I will phone the vets for advice,
Later I am going to visit a friend in hospital. She had a knee replacement yesterday. As she is in the private Nuffield hospital, I will have no problem parking, and it's free!

                        Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all. A lovely sunny morning here, fresh and crisp. I’ve been trying to get out early for a walk, managed a few mornings but woke late today so might have to squeeze in a short walk later. We are going out for lunch today after visiting the big garden centre near Christchurch, Daisy, you’ll know the
                          one.

P’s oncologist rang us yesterday after getting the results of his blood tests and she is happy that that all is ok and so he is back on the chemo. Also, they are very pleased with his prostate tests that he now only has to have blood tests every 6 months instead of every 3. Still continuing with the hormone therapy every 3 months as usual, so that was good news.

Hope everyone feeling under the weather, tummy problems etc feels much better soon.

Daisy, apologies for the christmashat, couldn’t resist it 😀

Morning all. Enfys that is good news. Oma I hope the dentist can sort you out once & for all. 🤞 Gem I hope little kitty gets sorted today. Poor little thing. Hope your friend's getting better. Fingers crossed we've all got some sort of bug. Mimi I thought I woke early at 6am but you were well in front of me. WG your post made me laugh. Hoping you're on the mend.

OH golfing today. I really should get quilt making.

Good morning ladies. It's nearly 10 o'clock and I'm still at Mimi's graphic stage of the day!!

Enfys - I'm so pleased P has had some good news after recent issues. Enjoy your lunch at 'that' garden centre. We'll have to meet up there one day - it's a day out all on its own, isn't it! I'll let you off with that photo - but take care when the real reindeer are there!

Mimi - I'm sure all pets choose their 'moment' to give your presents like fur balls or rejected meals!

Nana - get cracking on that quilt making - you know you want to.

Plant - lovely to have you back. In fact we've organised sunshine for you today. I bet your room will look lovely when it's all finished.

Gem - onwards and upwards with your Mum's new fire! I hope your friend's knee recovers quickly. Isn't it good to go somewhere (even a hospital) where you know you can park, and it's free!

Oma - I hope you're feeling better today.

WG - poor you. Get better soon. I hope your OH has an uneventful check up. I had to smile at the comment about filling the pot/label!!

Today is my first 'free' day for two or three weeks, so I shall abandon any pretence of being a Domestic Goddess. We'll take Eva out for a walk and then see how the day goes.
