Good Monday morning Nanto and everyone. The sun's shining here although it's still quite windy and has rained overnight.
A relatively busy day for us today. OH has a dental appointment this morning - it's just a final check up on some treatment he'd finished just as lockdown started, but he has to go to Bournemouth for it so he'll be out a couple of hours. I want to get some housework down while he's out - it's easier when you don't have to keep asking both him and Eva to move! Our Sainsbury's order is due at lunch time, and I see for the third week running they have no caster sugar for cake baking.
Then this evening Eva and I are meeting up with our lovely dog trainer and some other people from class for a socially distanced walk in a quiet part of the Forest. It's the first time we've done this, so I hope Eva enjoys it and behaves herself.
I'll pop back later to see what everyone is up to today - take care. xx

Good morning ladies it's nice and bright but still windy here too Daisy .
Hope Eva enjoys her walk and doesn't get too excited with her pals ,
cant understand the shortage of caster sugar can you ? I made cakes the other day and I had to use granulated , I did think about putting it in a bag and bashing it to make it finer but thought sod it it's sugar isn't it and they turned out fine just took a little longer creaming the butter and sugar together .
Nanto is it a steak pie your making ?
Do you put a top and bottom on it or just the top ? I must admit I'm a pastry lover although I get terrible heartburn 😜
My house smells lovely of pine disinfectant , I've just cleaned my work tops down with it and all the door handles and put Dettol down the loo and sinks shame the smell fades .

Good morning and Happy Monday to everyone.
Thinking of those for whom this is a difficult time.
The pies look good Nan2. I like the red gingham curtains too
Caster sugar was on our order last week and it came Daisy. Flour seems to be the problem at this end of the country. I hope you get some sugar soon.
I hope the walk goes well!
I bet your house always smells very clean Oma.
We have a free day. OH was due to do some outside painting at the house we rent out. The person we share the ownership with phoned to say it looks too windy, and as it rained again last night the wood will be too wet. Not sure what we will do, I will report back.
Take care everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

OH is at my mum's doing some gardening. No rain at all but it is breezy. I'm waiting for the machine to finish so I can hang towels out.
I just had a nice chat with my auntie, who is well, and had her hair cut on Saturday. I was disappointed to learn we cant go and see her however. We had hoped to go over at the weekend. Although she has her own apartment and no form of care package at all, it seems to be classed as a care home, so the same rules apply. She will let me know as soon as we can visit. At least she can now see her DS and DIL in her home and theirs.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

We have had a very pleasant afternoon. GD1's partner came back as I was pruning the lower part of the very large climbing rose so he set to and cut the ones out of my reach, by the time I had chopped it all up my back was aching, okay now. Not much wind today but it keeps clouding over.
Those pies do look good Nanto, you are such a good cook.
Oma, my MIL was a great fan of TCP and the children said her cakes tasted of TCP, I can't imagine she used it to clean the kitchen. Pine is one of the few things I can smell. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

TCP, 2 years ago I was with Ds2 and partner in Bexhill on Sea, Ds2 and myself got bitten by something whilst out walking, remembering my mother and her TCP of I go to the Tesco for it, whilst placing it on the band it slipped out of my hand onto the floor, oh dear, what a smell! I felt so ashamed. The lady did her best to clean it up, but, 3 days later DS2 was in the Tesco and he knew exactly which desk I had used, you could still smell it😟

Good morning Nan2. Good morning everyone.
Calm here too just a tiny breeze, and sunny. The sun is not set to last though and it will rain (So OH tells me)
She is setting off for golf soon. GS1 is coming here. They are having the living room painted and DD is going to her office to work.
I hope your back is not too aching after the gardening Plant. How nice that GD's partner helped.
TCP is a very lingering smell!
Have a good day everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
