Oma, good news about your brother - we said he was a fighter, didn't we!

Mimi - I hope you've recovered properly today. Cutting privet hedges is hard work - no wonder you wiped yourself out for 2 days. Definitely worth paying someone to do it for you next time. I hope your OH is ok too and didn't overdo things.

Gem - I hope you and S enjoyed your Sunday roast, and are sitting with an after dinner coffee or something a little stronger, enjoying the sunshine.

I've had a fairly busy morning - there seemed to be a lot of washing up to do of stuff that won't go in the dishwasher, so I did that, cleaned the hob. With being gas it's not just a quick wipe over, I have to take it apart and clean each bit. Then I portioned up about 5 or 6 kg of dog food to keep Her Ladyship fed for a while. She's 'Her Ladyship' because she's in trouble! OH was going to spread another barrowload of compost on the front garden where I'd weeded and she wanted to go with him, but wasn't allowed. So I called her in and she wouldn't come. She put her head down and walked away, so I got a lead out and just looped it round her neck and with a firm "This Way!" had to lead her in. Her tail has been down between her legs ever since, and I feel like the most horrible fur baby mum ever!!!

OH has done some work on a huge salad bowl he's making for DS1. It's monkey puzzle tree wood and has been on a lathe for over a year, drying out.

I've got a joint of pork shoulder to cook tonight - I don't think I've ever cooked one before, so I'm just off to find a recipe - any advice would be very welcome.

Mimi that's one big job no the wonder your worn out .
My Sister has a huge private hedge around 3 sides of her house and is very tall . My BIl always did it all himself but admitted last year it was too much so this year he had someone come in and do it . They cut it and took all the waste away too . Much better to do it that way .

Awe poor Eva bad mummy I'm sure a treat will cheer her up .
If that bowl is as beautiful as yours in your Hall your DS will love it

Gem did you enjoy lunch ? It looked lovely xx

Glad to hear some more positive news about your brother Oma
We really enjoyed the meal! I hope to order another next week.
Daisy, how busy you are today!! We did indeed take a second glass of wine into the garden and enjoy the sunshine. A lovely lazy day for me.

Lovely sunny day here all day!

            The sun is shining.
We might be in lockdown, but the weather is helping to make up for it.

My first job is hoovering and washing the conservatory floor, then we can bring the furniture back in from the garage.

Good morning, Nanto, and all who follow.

It's a nice sunny day here, too, but a bit breezy. Are you pleased with your nice, shiny newly painted conservatory?

I am going to press on with housework today - before we disappear under mounds of dog hair.

I hope Oma's brother continues to improve. Oma - the bowl is very similar to the one in the hall, but with straighter sides. It's coming on nicely.

Take care everyone - chat later.

                Good morning Nan2, Daisy, ladies.
I hope all are well and have a good day ahead.
I know all our thoughts are with dear Clover and family this morning.

Today we are going over to my mum's to do a few things and pick up a couple more items to take over to her when we take the prescription tomorrow.
We will collect prescriptions today. Our repeat ones are ready, plus the one for my mum. Our pharmacy is, we have heard, doing a drive through collection! We are looking forward to this. Last time we went it was social distancing queuing outside, one person in the building at time, out through the back door, next person in through the front. I will report back on the drive through!
Later I want to colour my hair, as I managed to get hair colour in Wilko the other day. I actually wore a hat for one of the video charts we had, to cover the roots

                Take care everyone.

Oma - I hope your brother can get a clear diagnosis soon, but it's good to hear he's got feeling back in his hand and leg. xx

Gem - A drive-through chemists sounds very American! I hope the system works ok for you - one less worry. I hope your mum will be pleased to get the things you pick up from her house.

                          Good afternoon all.
Oma its good to see your brother is making an improvement. Hopefully he can go on to make a full recovery.

Has anyone attempted to cut their own hair yet . I have shaved OH head but cutting mine is another thing, its driving me mad at the moment.

Been busy in the garden but it's a bit windy out there now and rather chilly in the shade so I am going to put the kettle on , make a cup of tea and then watch the final episode of Race Across the World.

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi - I've cut my fringe, but I often do that anyway, and my hair's now quite long so it doesn't make much difference it if doesn't get a trim! Have you tried looking for a You Tube video on how to cut a style similar to yours? It might help.

My OH has grown a beard - he always used to have one, until he retired, and I quite like it. I usually cut his hair anyway - it's not a big job, haha - but he's let it grow a bit longer at the moment. I don't think he's got much chance of turning into a hippy with a pigtail though!!

Oma, it makes me very happy to come here and read some positive news about your brother. As you say, it sounds as though the antibiotics are working.
I always cut my own fringe for fear of the hairdresser cutting it too short.

Well, there was no drive through pharmacy!! Just the usual wait outside system. I don't know where that rumour started!

OH and I did a few things in house and garden at my mums, and brought home her standard lamp and couple of other things to drop off tomorrow.
I do think the weather has been kind to us for most of the lockdown period so far. It would be much harder if it had rained every day.

Salmon for tea tonight and the WhatlsApp music quiz with our friends at 8pm.

My two youngest grandsons were brought to my village for their walk today, they live 3 miles away. Their Mum parked in our driveway so I was able to wave from the window. Cheered me up no end. Currently in a lot of pain with Shingles, so needed the cheer up. Got a Tesco click and collect later this evening. I will go with hubby and sit in the car just to see a change of scenery .
