Gem, pleased you got to the craft fair, even though you went on your own.
Sounds like you met some good company.
Nice to hear mum was on good form.

Oma,loved it when you said that'll frighten the life out of DS.

Oma - I wonder how your GS2 and GD will feel about moving house? Will they have to change schools? I can just imagine your DS's face if you turn up on their doorstep.

Qwerty - you don't need to do spring cleaning because you're a beautiful bleach babe. I can't remember when I last washed down the tiles of our shower room. We spray the shower cubicle with Method Daily Shower every day and I clean it more thoroughly every week, but the rest of the shower room walls only get an occasional clean and since it's nearly Spring it's a spring clean!! I hope your OH's MOT is ok tomorrow.

Sunshine - I hope you enjoyed your walk and lunch. Wasn't it a lovely day. xx

Clover - I checked on the RHS website and although it says Choisya don't generally need pruning if you do prune them do it in mid- to late-spring. With such a mild winter/ early spring I'm sure the plants thinks it's later in the season, so your bush will probably be ok. It says apply fertiliser and mulch afterwards and avoid drought dress in the coming season.

Gem - I would have happily come to the craft fair with you as well, but I'm glad you went anyway. It's nice to browse round, even though you didn't buy anything. Plus a nice relaxed lunch and a chat with friends. I bet they were delighted to have some company on their stall. I know when I've done stalls at various events, having people round the stand seems to encourage other people to come and browse and hopefully buy. Perhaps the sunshine has cheered your mum up. How was the roast chicken?

We've had a busy but nice day. I got the buddleia bushes pruned first thing. The friends who called round were my friend M who looks after Eva for the odd night and her nephew and his wife who live in London and were visiting for the week-end. They are in the process of moving up to Yorkshire, and are expecting their first baby in May. So it was lovely to catch up with them and hear all their exciting news. It was nearly lunch-time when they left so we took Eva to the paddock for a run round. She was a good dog, and sensible for Eva. OH was very tired after his logging day yesterday so when we got back he made a sandwich for lunch while I did a few odds and ends. After lunch he fell asleep so I went out in the garden and did some weeding and tidying up. Yet again the apple trees got left, but I cut the lawn and trimmed the edges, so the garden looks a bit neater.

Then I cooked pork tenderloin with potatoes and veggies for dinner. I was going to make a rice pudding but left it too late. I'm tired now, and ready for bed!

Daisy they moving right next to the children's school they can walk to it in a few minutes , GS2 goes to comp this September and they needed to get into the catchment area for him to go to the school of their choice . They shouldn't really be in the school there are at now because they live way out of the area , But they managed to get GS2 in as at nursery age and naturally GD followed , its a very good school .Plus they really need a bigger house When GD was born they had a loft conversion done so GS2 could use that and GD have his room but to be honest 2nd bedroom is no bigger than a nursery , I said when they bought it before GS2 was born it was too small for a growing family ,

                Good morning ladies.

Daisy, you had a busy day, I hope you slept well!
Oma, my DD1 and family need to move, as the secondary schools for their area are not good one, and the general behaviour of local boys and what they are allowed to do, isn't what DD and SIL want. They will be moving closer to me at some point.
Enjoy your time with all 3 today
It's very foggy here Nan2, with no sign of it clearing yet!
I hope all goes well with OH today Qwerty.

I kept waking with a headache last night. I should have got up and done something about it but didn't and so this morning it was bad. I have taken painkillers and a cup of tea and now it is easing off a bit.
I am going to Boots for my eye test this morning. OH will come along as it's next to Pets at Home, or whatever it's called so she can buy cat litter whilst I'm in there. We need printer ink too and Tesco is on the other side!
We will see my auntie today and either do some shopping for her, or take her shopping, whichever she prefers.

                Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, another lovely sunny day here. P still feeling poorly, yesterday was the first time in all of this that he actually almost broke down, I’ve never ever seen him like that, so sad for him. However, he seemed a bit better later on and GS popped I. After his driving lesson so that was nice and they were chatting away about the holiday. He seems ok’ish this morning but his hands are so sore.

I managed a bit more tidying up in the garden yesterday, luckily it’s a very low maintenance garden so not too much to do. I made a few plans for my pots and think I’ll concentrate on them this year. The decking needs repairing and DH keeps saying he’ll be able to do it but I think I’ll make a few discrete enquiries about getting someone in.

Nothing olanned today, we have Dexter for a couple of hours later as DD and GD are having a shopping trip. Today was the day GD was going back to Oz so DD had the day off to take her to the airport so they are making a girlie day of it. Can’t believe we have her here for another couple of months 😀.

Good luck for B at the hospital Oma. Clover, hope you have a good day too x

Enfys I’m really sorry P was so down It’s awful to see our loved ones hurting physically or mentally.I’m glad GS was able to take his mind off things for a bit.

Daisy thanks so much for taking the trouble to check out my Choisya. I think I knew it didn’t actually need pruning but it was getting so big it was overhanging the grass ( not good enough to call lawn ) and encroaching on a border.I can see some flower buds on it so all is not lost.

I hope all hospital/doctors appointments go well today with satisfactory results.

Beautiful sun sun here this morning. A real contrast to this time last year when my sister couldn’t visit her OH in hospital because of the snow.

                    Have a good day all.x

                      Good moaning each!
I have had a wonderful weekend staying with friends. The rule we have is that the guests don’t lift a finger, very hard and I did offer as I know they have had a very busy time lately with children and grand children, but I was told rules is rules. 😁
It’s a beautiful day here, I must stir my stumps, the garden is calling me.
Have a good day all, and I hope the poorly people are feeling better today.

He also mentioned how tired I looked so I told him about my problem sleeping , he gave me a short course of sleeping tablets to try get me back into a rhythm of sleep ,
I have to ring on Friday for results , he said the hair loss could be any number of things and not unusual after the Menopause but wants to check Thyroid, Vit B12 Vit D, ect ect

Enfys poor P he must be fed up and no matter how upbeat they try to keep at some point when they feel poorly it gets to them .

Gem you should get up and take something as soon as it wakes you you just know its going to get worse , hope its easing now xx

Sending sympathy and love to all the poorly ones, hope things improve for you all soon. Oma, I remember having hair loss some years ago and that turned out to be an overactive tyroid. Hope they can sort out your lack of sleep.

Grauntie it is lovely to hear you are back to your old self.

Hope the headache has gone Gemini.

Lovely and sunny here, I am going to put the cleaner around and put some washing on but not much else. Bowls this afternoon. Had a phone call from Dil yesterday checking up on me and invited me around. We had a lovely catch up chat and DS went in the other room to watch the rugby. Dil wasn't feeling great, tummy ache and feeling generally tired etc. GS4 came in later after a cycle ride with his friends, he loves his bikes and gave it a good clean when he got back. He will be 18 next month and wants to have a rest from college work and exams for a year providing he gets good grades. He wants to be a design engineer. I am so lucky that I have such a lovely Dil. When I got back GGS and his parents were here, he was in the garden and didn't want to come in, he really is a delight.

Grauntie , that sounds a lovely weekend!
Poor P, sending him all the best vibes I can Enfys.
You did mention your hair Oma. As you say it's not unusual after menopause. It would be good if there was something you could take to help with that. I hope the sleeping tablets work. You certainly need something, you can't go on like that.
I'm sure seeing your GGS is a great joy to you Plant.

Headache is all gone thank you Plant and Oma!
I have chosen my glasses. I knew I needed a stronger prescription for distance, so am glad to be getting new ones. I didn't really need new reading glasses, as that had hardly changed. As you get the second pair half price and I get cheap £50 ones for reading, I may as well have a new pair. My present ones can replace the old ones I keep in my bedside drawer.
Auntie didn't want to go shopping today, as my cousin will be arriving tomorrow so she will go shopping with them on Wednesday. We are just picking up a couple of things for her this afternoon on the way to visit her.

All fog cleared, and it's wonderfully sunny

Beautiful here, my windows and french window are open, birds are singing, not sure I want to go to bowls in the village hall this afternoon, would rather take a book into the sun room.
