I have just finished washing my floors so waiting for them to dry before I make a cup of tea ,
Loaded the car for the tip last night so while I was busy doing housework B has taken it over there ,
Need fresh bread this morning but apart from that nothing planned

Lol have had a look at the hotel Gem it is rather swish do they have a car park there ?
Im decluttering today in the kitchen dept too many utensils , pots and pans and I’m sick of them falling off shelves etc Dd took some stuff yesterday so a startvhas been made

Our garden is now green, snow went very quickly yesterday. I am going to Stoke Mandeville Hospital again today to see my friend, her parents were Godparents of DD and DS. Her stay in hospital has been a long one she was very, very ill, she had a flesh eating disease the entire length of her leg and sepsis and was on life support for several days, family were warned she might not survive. Doctors have now performed a skin graft and physios are working to get her on her feet. When I visited her last she had a catheter and a stomer bag (sp) which will be reversed, she has been amazingly brave. They have said she may be discharged soon.

Good morning all. The day started off mild and sunny but now its dark, gloomy and wet !
When I woke this morning I praised the cat for being a good girl with only waking me up once and it was then that OH told me he sat up for an hour tending to her needs and moods so that I could get some sleep bless him. I told him off mind you, he needs his sleep as much as I do. I told him he should have woken me

We have just taken delivery of Echo Dot for the kitchen ( had Echo plus for Christmas ) . I ordered it from Amazon just after Christmas as it was on offer for £29.99 but it was sold out and I was informed that the delivery wouldn't be until March but I thought I can wait, well its now sitting in the kitchen up and working.


Plant, your poor friend, you have to be amazed how brave people are when faced with such health problem's. Our ladies on here are testament to that. I hope she is feel well today.

Gem....great news. You can really enjoy your meal out tonight knowing that's you for another year.

Went to see Mary Queen of Scots the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bit of sex, violence and some great acting. Then OH treated me to a....wait for it!!!..McD's for tea!!! it was actually very nice. The restaurant at the complex is always busy, so the food is freshly cooked and piping hot.

Off to a Burns Supper tonight where I'm co-ordinating the puddings! Trifle just needs cream and decoration, fruit salad done, mini-fruit tarts ( from M&S) ready, even got a jelly and some gluten free shortbread for those with a food intolerance. There should be another 8 arriving, which hopefully should be enough. Last year there were some greedy b****** and I think they're back this year. We've got someone who can't eat any dairy, so i'm wondering how they're going to get on. No haggis, real or vegetarian for me, can't stand the stuff! So I'll be the one with the ham, unless someone gets to it before me.

Don't really feel like going as my back is playing me up. I got some strong painkillers from the pharmacist and they do help, but make me drowsy, so I've not had any today.

bad night again , I had the cooker hood stripped down and was cleaning that at 3 this morning

Not much on this morning but going to Martins after lunch celebrate him not having to give anymore Bone Marrow

This morning we will do some more painting. The ceiling is all done and we have started the walls on the upstairs landing.
We are going to the theatre this afternoon. It is part of the Residents First weekend. Free but you had to book ahead. We get to see a season preview of what's coming, have a bit of a backstage tour etc. Something to do on a dull January afternoon. Our friends C and P are also going. As we booked at different times we are not sitting together, but are meeting for coffee first.
