Auntie was well, and happy, as her son's house sale has gone though and they will be moving up here next Tuesday Their new house should be finished mid April. I'm not sure if they will stay with auntie all that time, or move into rented for a while, which was the plan when they expected to have moved up here at the end of last year. As it's not long now I expect they will stay with her.
OH and friends didn't play golf as it's wet and soggy. It's not competition day so it's up to them. 3 hardy souls went out, the rest stayed in the Clubhouse. As they weren't playing and I was free, OH asked if wanted to join them. We had a nice chat and lunch

It is pitch black and the postie has a light on his head so he can see ,
We have had post about 5ish before but never after 7pm ,

Oma - it's funny how sometimes you just don't know what you fancy for a meal. I often have days like that.

Gem - how lovely that your Aunt's family will soon be here - I'm glad the house sale has finally taken place.

Qwerty - you're well organised for Easter! Don't eat them though. If you've got half of JL's stock of cushions, we've got the other half. I never seem to throw them away but am always buying new ones. It's a nice quick way of tarting up a room I'm getting bored with. No oil from the refinery, but we did get very nice pens to fill in our customer satisfaction questionnaire and a packet of jelly beans! I don't like them so OH did well!

It's been cold here today as well, and quite wet and windy. Our metal bird feeder stand broke in half today, we got home to find the seed feeders on the ground.

Friday is as usual my busy day. Little GS2 all day, GD from school. OH is here though so he can have his nap when I do the school run.
I made their tea last night, which just needs popping in the oven. It's OH's turn to cook our meal tonight, so no cooking for me today

Good morning everyone. Cold but sunny here.

I thought we were going out shopping first thing, but OH has to do something else first, so I'm doing a bit of washing and dog food preparation till he gets back. Then shopping, then walk for Eva. I promised to make an apple pie for DIL1's birthday lunch tomorrow, so that's my next job. OH is out tonight so I don't have to cook - I can enjoy my favourite mushrooms or tomatoes on toast.

Oma - at least it's dry today so not too many muddy paw marks, hopefully! There was a husky in training class on Wednesday, and my goodness when he left half of him was scattered across the floor!!!

We had a spell of not getting our post until very late. Then they would literally walk past our front door carrying the road's post and deliver from the far end! It was very frustrating to see something you were waiting for march straight past!

Bright and sunny here, I may venture into the garden and do a bit, plenty to choose from. My newish magnolia is about to pop, (dark pink) and my irises are looking promising, coming through nicely.
Nothing planned for this weekend but it can change with just a phone call as we all know.

Sunny here atm, dreadful day yesterday. Our lovely postman comes sometime around 10am, if it his day off it usually goes through the family door at the front. He has been our postman for a number of years. Food shopping for me today, I think my GD1 wants to take me as she has a few days off, I expect that will involve lunch out on GM too.

We get our post from 11.30 am or even 4.30 in the afternoon and it varies from day to day, you knew where you were when the post used to arrive early each morning.
