Evening ladies I’ve had a very busy weekend so not been on here , some of it housework as in getting the newly
decorated bedroom back to normal, Dd called yesterday for lunch with Eldest g/d stayed a few hours , had to pop out later and be at DS for 4pm as he makes the most gorgeous pizzas base as well so we had an invite , played with the twins we had a car crash, what do children think of playing it we called out the fire brigade and Mr Plod lol, after pizza and 2 glasses of red wine and a piece of gateau went home about 8 pm and promptly fell asleep got up and went to bed
This morning did a 2 mile walk cold but we were wrapped up well, got home and fell asleeep, don’t know what’s wrong with me 😴made a rice pudding and sausage casserole today phew
Daisy I thought when I first read your post I thought you had bought acrylic pants lol had to go back and reread

I've had a busy day, although I didn't plan it that way, but I got my cake made - pictures under "Healthy Cake Recipes" but didn't get to do any painting. We didn't even take Eva out - the cold is really getting to me. Thank goodness the forecast is for temperatures in double figures for this coming week.

Plant the cake turned out well thanks & everyone enjoyed it. It's lovely to have DDs & all the GC together. Felt like the start of WW III sometimes but I love it. Expecting a big 'payback' but it was worth it.

I miss Grauntie too & like Plant love her sense of humour. Nice picture WG.

Off to drs early tomoro to have another harmless skin lesion removed from my back. Wish I could just have a lie in.😴

Good morning everyone, another week begins!

I am laughing at Qwerty thinking Daisy has acrylic pants - and that she doesn't know what to do with them

This morning the man from the carpet shop is coming to measure our stairs.
I am going to a friends for lunch. We haven't met up since December so it will be good to catch up. She hates January as much as I do but is a different personality to me. Her way is turn in on herself and nor see people until difficult times pass. Mine is to want to see people more!

Have a good Monday, and I hope the weather is a bit warmer for everyone.

Nana hope the trip to doctors goes well and you can come back and have a lazy day. BTW I think chitting potatoes means laying seed potatoes out in trays and waiting for the little shoots to sprout before planting out. I expect the gardening ladies will correct me if I’m wrong.

To be honest I’ve felt a bit low these last few days. Don’t know why .Just from time to time it hits me ( sadness and worry about OH and the future) Also I have Haematology appointment tomorrow (two months overdue ) so that always makes me a bit twitchy.

Anyway enough about me. I hope you all have a good day.

Good morning all. Rainy here but not as cold.

Clover, understandable that you will have down days, you have a lot on your plate at the moment. I think it’s important to take good care of yourself and not beat yourself up too much. I know I feel guilty if I have a bad day and moan at DH but otherwise just have to take it slowly and be kind to yourself. ((Hug))).

I hope your appointment tomorrow goes well, yours too,Nana.

no plans again today although we have Dexter later on. DH suffering a bit more this time round with the chemo but he’s trying very hard to keep cheerful. I had a bit of a moan yesterday and felt so bad afterwards, sometimes I just want a day away on my own to get my thoughts sorted. This morning seems better so maybe the moan did me good 😕. Anyway, onwards and upwards, hope the rain clears and I can take Dexter for a walk. Have a good day 🌞

I am trying to keep busy though and yesterday we went to the Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall with all family. Most enjoyable, but I was staggered at the amount of people on the trains on a Sunday! We caught the 10. 30am out and 6.30pm back. Both trains were full to the ginnells!

Thanks for your good wishes. Back from docs. I had a laugh with him as I said 'get ready for the sharp scratch' before he had chance to say it. So when he came to that part he said 'Get ready for the worst & most excruciating pain ever'.

Clover it really is understandable that you have off days. This season doesn't help either. I hope all goes well at your appointment. Let us know how you get on.

Morning all. Its sunny here and not so cold as the last few days. I had an undisturbed nights sleep but with the strong painkillers and the anti depression tablets I took its not surprising , but I did have a few weird dreams, some not very nice. The old back is still giving me jip this morning but I have managed to go out for a walk albeit slowly. When I got back I put a face pack on in the effort to put some colour in my white face, OH said he has never seen me so pale, we all need some cheery sunshine I think.

Clover Gem is correct we are still girls! Clover hopefully getting tomorrow over and done with will help lift your mood. Sending you hugs x

Nana, honesty, your mind ! Chitting seed potatoes is a way of 'speeding up ' the growing process by standing them something like a cardboard egg box for a few weeks so that they start to sprout
