Morning all.
Yes pills can be a bit of a nightmare. OH still sorts his own out but I always have to check as he is a bit hit and miss sometimes.I also have to replenish the drawer where he keeps them if I find an empty packet
Plant I ‘m glad you had a lovely time yesterday.
Daisy you did have a productive day. It makes you feel you have achieved something when you can list off all the things you’ve done.
Sunny here at the moment and not so windy.
General chores for me today. Hope your day is a bit more interesting

We are expecting more snow in this area tomorrow, Thurs and Friday, although forecasters do get it wrong at times, hope they are this time. The only tablets that are a problem for me are warfarin, they keep changing the dose and days to take extra as my levels are up and down atm, hope they are settled this week when I go. Bowls this afternoon unless GD1 wants to go somewhere as she has a day off and boyfriend is working today.
So pleased you had a good nights sleep Oma, especially as you had a nap in the day. Have a lovely night out, I thought you had only just changed your sitting room furniture Oma. Have a lovely time in the posh hotel.

Good morning everyone.
Mimi I will start a thread about older cats, and I'm sure both our girls (nearly 19) have a touch of dementia of some sort.
Plant, good to hear you had a lovely time yesterday.
The theatre season preview yesterday was great fun. We started in the auditorium, but then we were upstairs, downstairs, backstage, front of house...... here there and everywhere! We and our 2 friends really enjoyed it. It was the theatre's 275th birthday, and there was birthday cake. Cake for all to take home in little bags, like a party
I was in terrible pain with ibs all evening until late last night so wasn't in the mood to post here. I did read and join in a couple of the quick games though, All OK now again. I had cheese for lunch then we had a pizza for a quick tea last night. Too much cheese in one day for my delicate system
More painting for us today. I will also go to see my mum this afternoon as I didn't go over the weekend. The sun is out here
Have a good Monday all.

Good morn8ng, have t had chance to catch up on everything but hope you enjoyed your mini break Daisy, have a lovely break Oma, just what you need.
We e had a very good few days, but now P is going through his chemo reactions. We know it won’t last so he is taking it easy today, I have banned him from doing too much.
its lovely and sunny here, iGCT get out into the garden if it’s not too cold. The paths need sweeping and I have some pots I want to move around. We shall see.
Read some posts here about taking medication, it’s so difficult when there a lot of tablets involved. We have got into a routine with P and he has split his up so he takes different ones at different times, all after meals. Seems to work so far. On the subject of tablets, the other day I went to the chemist to pick up my repeat prescription (we order from doc online and it gets made up at the local chemist). Got home with the tablets, thought they looked different and when at checked he had given me the right tablets but double the dose! So lucky I checked, I went straight back and made a complaint, he was very apologetic but as I said, if someone more elderly than me and maybe with bad eyesight they wouldn’t have noticed. I will be double double checking in future.

Enfys thank goodness you noticed That happened to my dad with his Parkinsons medications once He didn't realise took them and was very poorly. We were all away in Edinburgh for DD1's graduation so it was very worrying as we didn't know what was wrong. He went back to the Dr the next day and it was all sorted out and he was fine, but it shouldnever have happened.
I hope P feels better soon.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Enfys I don’t tend to check my and OH’s medication from the pharmacist, assuming they know best and would have double checked that it was correct. I will certainly check ours from now on.
Oma what a difference a good nights sleep make . Enjoy your mini break.
We thought it would be really cold and icy out today after yesterday’s rain but it’s not too bad out so we popped to town .
I got a birthday card for younger DS , some seeds and two small packs of seed potatoes to grow in our large planters. It has cheered the both of us up with the thoughts that eventually we will be able to get back outside and get on with some gardening.
Going to make myself a cup of coffee now so have a good day ladies
Gem I have noticed the elderly pets thread, good ideaBring me sunshine in your smile.

I've been told that it's advisable to check your medication before you leave the pharmacy, because if you take any wrong meds back, they can't be re-issued even if the packet hasn't been opened. However if you check before leaving and have to return anything, the meds can be re-issued because they haven't left the shop.Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Hi Daisy
The decorating is coming along well. OH continued this afternoon while I went to see my mum. I wish I had stayed and painted! There is a small cardboard box which is (inexplicably) in mums house with a few of my Cds in it. She accused me of dumping stuff there! The much bigger box of CDs, which she also says is ours is nothing to do with us, they are her things. I just took them all and will take them to the charity shop. The trouble is she does nothing and sees almost no one, so broods about things. She was moaning about the garage too. I pointed out to her that she cancelled us going to do this last weekend! The fact that we have been decorating our house since then, and having hospital appointments (and generally having our own lives!) means nothing.
