Just spoke with Libra , T has a Chest infection and a Urinary tract infection , She's on intravenous antibiotics and fluids
Libra sends love and Thanks xxx
Hello everyone - I'm a bit too late for a 'good morning'!
Nanto - I'm not a huge fan of cooked breakfasts, but for some reason that picture is making me feel hungry!
Gem - what a good job you checked the Gaming Cafe before you went. You would have had a very disappointed young man on your hands. I hope you both enjoy The Grinch!
Oma - I'm so sad to hear about Libra's T. I hope the ABs kick in quickly for her. xx
Clover - No wonder you're feeling down. Lots of us feel a bit low after all the Christmas celebrations, but it must be so hard coming back from having a lovely time with the family, plus all the company and chatter, to say nothing of having to deal with the jobs you've put on one side. Do remember to take care of yourself - leave the things you can leave until you're feeling better. Is there anything anybody can help you with? You know we're here if you want to chat. Sending hugs. xxx
It's back to normal Mondays here. Cooper is currently barking at me to play with him because Eva's opted out!

Thanks ladies for your kind words. What will be will be. There’s nothing really anyone can do to help.I’ll just plod on.
I’ve got mountains ( not just piles ) of washing but blow it,it can wait!
Gem I hope you and GS enjoyed the film.At leastyou were able to find an alternative activity.
Sorry to hear that Libra’s DD has these infections but hopefully the antibiotics will sort them out soon.
That was disappointing news to hear from Libra, do hope they clear up the infections soon.
Grauntie, what are you going to do with the drill?
Successful trip for GD1 she got her phone repaired, bought gloves and a hat, she is being taken to Slovakia by boyfriend (need to post details in Yeo) for just one day and one night, they are going to the capital Dubrovnic (sp). Very cold there, I hope they have a nice time. Legs are feeling very tired now.
Clover you must miss your family when you come home
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Afternoon all from a less grumpy grandma, thanks to all for your get well wishes I’m well on the mend now, in fact I’m getting cabin fever so OH took me out to lunch today , only the garden centre but it’s a brand new one and very friendly and a lovely lunch , there is life out there !!!!
Oma hope your feeling better too, and Clover I forgot your birthday sorry but hope it was a good one, sorry you feel so low you have every reason to feel that way pamper yourself for a couple of days till you come round a little bit.
Enfys I hope all is ok with P will text you later
I never want a Christmas or new year like this last one I feel weeks have gone by and I can’t remember any of it, I pushed on through the festivities but once they were over I just coughed away like a twenty a day person
Libra I am sorry to hear T is having a bad time, like you say the girl deserves a break hope she will be better soon once the antibiotics kick in
I adore my g/c but like others on here it’s been a 2 week break and much needed, but back to normal , my day has changed for pick up as they have started swimming lessons on a Tuesday and are doing well jumping in the water first time on their own although mum and a dad have taken them swimming before off to read other posts bye for now
Morning from another grey, but not so cold, WG house!
OH's hospital visit went well, thanks Daisy! There are a few side effects starting now, but as we don't want to face the alternative, he's staying on the medication for the time being and keeping a record of any problems.I have to go for more tests, so am waiting for an appointment. I was originally given an appointment( back in November) for February, but got a text message to ask if I'd like to come earlier. So I phoned and got a choice of appointments for later the same day! Off I went to find the waiting room empty and 3 doctors on duty with no patients! They still managed to be running late. However, I was eventually seen and referred to the scan people. I also have an appointment with the back man on 8th February and have a nasty feeling I might need more than injections this time .
Got a funeral on Wednesday in town, so I think I might have a look round the shops afterwards.
Pleased to hear poorly people seem to be on the mend and hope that those feeling a bit down, soon feel on the up.
Fish and chips (home made) for tea tonight.....really looking forward to it!
Have a good evening everyone!
p.s. Anybody watch Manhunt last night? Was impressed with Martin Clune's performance.
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
Theodore Roosevelt.
Plant - that sounds like a successful little shopping trip. I hope you're sitting with your feet up, glass in hand.
Qwerty - I'm so glad you're feeling better. Just don't go and overdo things now the children are back at school.
WG - I do hope OH's side effects are only minor. At least getting an earlier appointment means you get the scan sooner. Fingers crossed you won't need any injections for your back. Did you enjoy your fish and chips? I haven't watched Manhunt, but I think Martin Clunes gives his all to everything he does.
It's business as usual for our GDs today. GD2 fell over in the playground and grazed her knee. I'm sure she thought she needed to be stretchered off to A&E, but in fact it is just a graze about the size of a 50p coin. The school put a big dressing on it for her, and then Grandma had to perform the delicate operation of removing her tights without disturbing the dressing. Then it fell off, so we set up the operating theatre (it's more often used as a kitchen!) and put a plaster on it. For a child who has no regard for her personal safety, she did make a bit of a meal of it, but she got lots of Grandma cuddles of course. While all this delicate first aid treatment was going on, GD1 wanted to know how to deal with 'remainders' on her school Maths network because it wouldn't let her put R1! We settled on .5 in the end. I've a horrible feeling her Maths will soon need a better mathematician than me for support. LOL

WG I’m glad OH’s appointment went well. How strange about the changed appointment and the empty waiting room.Never heard of that scenario before.I hope your fears about your back needing more than injections are unfounded.
Yes we are watching “Manhunt” .I think MC is very convincing as the detective. I didn’t even think of him as. Doc.Martin which for me proves what a good actor he is.
Daisy poor GD2 Not a good start to the new term.I’m sure some TLC from Grandma helped a lot.
Clover I think it's always hard when you don't see the children for a while , you have had such a lovely time with them it must be a come down when you have to go home .
Good morning ladies.
Qwerty, pleased to hear you are feeling better.
Daisy, i bet GD felt better after a few cuddles from you.
I'm going to cook some corned beef and onion today.
Will make a pastry pie for the freezer, then do a couple of pies with baked beans and mash.
Similar to a cottage/shepherds pie. Will have one for dinner and put one in the freezer.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
What a rough time you have had Qwerty, I'm glad you are returning to your usual self now!
WG, I hope things are better than you think with your back.
I hope your GD has a nice trip Plant.
Poor GD Daisy, grazes do hurt! More nerve endings than a cut so in fact more pain.
Clover, you will adjust to being back and won't feel as sad soon xx
We watched for first 2 episodes of Manhunt last night, very good, looking forward to part 3 tonight.
A free day today as I had GS1 yesterday (we had a lovely day )
I am going to see the 2nd Fantastic Beasts film at the cinema today, whilst OH is on the golf course.
Have a good day ladies.

It's chilly here but the sun is shining, and there was a beautiful sunrise this morning.
I seem to be pottering about doing not very much, but I love watching Eva and Cooper playing together - they're so funny. Eva has just put her two front legs over Cooper's back and slithered over him like a snake.
We're back to training classes tonight, Eva and I, and I bet we've forgotten everything we've learned.
