We had a lovely day - coffee and then lunch so I didn't have to cook tonight. It was quite warm first thing and I really didn't know what to wear. But when we came out of the hotel about 2.30 it was pouring with rain and freezing cold. I was glad I'd thrown my nice snuggly jacket into the car for the journey home.

I was shattered when I got home - it's hard work gallivanting and socialising So I had a few phone calls to make and just made us a sandwich for tea. I need an early night.

Daisy I really enjoyed Mary Poppins, it was so well done. Lovely to see Dick Van Dyke too! It was sad though, not as lighthearted as the original.

Evening all, spent the day yesterday looking for a chair which is on another thread
Pick up from school and tea with the twins , week off next week the other grandma is coming down
Tomorrow shopping for wallpaper for spare bedroom to match a Roman blind we’ve just put up
Glad you enjoyed the film Gem I don’t think I fancy it , but may think about it at some point
WG nothing worse than back ache , you don’t know whether to move around or rest it , hope you get better quickly
Easy day Daisy lunch out and quick sandwich at tea time

Just catching up with all your news. I'm taking time to rest. 2nd blood test results back. Hb still on the low side so I'm starting folic acid meds tomoro. Hope it's not too icy as the weather forecast predicts as OH wants us to have a day out. Enjoy your Thursday Grans.

Qwerty we having a similar problem looking for two chairs to replace our arm chairs , we want cream leather wing backs but they difficult to get and I'm reluctant to order on line as they may look lovely but be uncomfortable when they get hear , I want to sit on them first .

Looks like we've had rain during the night again.

Qwerty,new loo downstairs is up and running now.

Off to the dumpit today,to get rid of the old loo.
Told hubby we could take some rubbish out of the shed and garage.
His reply was,there isn't any. I beg to differ.

Good morning. Bright but chilly here. Off to hospital soon, blood tests and then oncologist so it will,be a long day. We will,have lunch in the hospital restaurant......we know how to live it up 😀

Thursday, so it is the day to take the shopping to my mum. As it is our monthly Tesco delivery day, her shopping will come with mine, apart from a couple of things I need to pick up at Wilko.
I will drop in on auntie for an hour before going to mum, with the time I save by not going to Tesco for mum

You may have noticed an upgrade announcement at the top of the forum. This was scheduled for last nigh, but for some reason they didn't do it. I have requested they do it tonight, so will leave the announcement up.

Good morning everyone. Gem I didn't see your post above, before I changed the Announcement slightly. I only came on to check the upgrade was working.

My plans for a day at home today changed late last night! I now have to go out this morning! At this rate I'll forget where I live - I've been out of the house every day since last Saturday!

Enfys - I hope all goes well for P today. It does sound like a long day. xx

Nanto - my OH and I have similar conversations about things that should go to the dump!

Nana - hope the folic acid helps, and I'm sure the rest will do you good.

Afternoon ladies
Been to MIL's and Morrisons this morning and bumped into my niece and my Brother in there so a nice unexpected catch up

Have boiler engineer this afternoon so wont be going out again .

We have quite a bit snow although the sun is out its very cold .

We are debating about changing the bed in our spare room to a single , it only ever gets used if one of us has say flu and the coughing disturbs the other so virtually never gets used and takes a great deal of space up ,
B would like to put a desk in there but at the minute there is no space so I think that's what we will do

Had a bit of snow here, but didn't notice it until it got light. Very cold though.

Now in 21st century with our alarm system. Thankfully there's an instruction book with it.

Bitterly cold this morning with quite a hard frost, but no sign of snow and the sun has shone all day.

Back easier today so no need for painkillers.

Making a chicken curry for dinner, just what we need on a cold night. Will watch Death in Paradise later.....that'll warm us up!

We went to the cinema today to see “Bohemian Rhapsody”. It was as I expected it to be and quite interesting. Thank goodness the inevitable death sentence of “AIDS “is now not necessarily true.
Only two others in the cinema with us.

It’s been really cold here today but sunny.

I’m feeling really hungry so an early meal for us tonight Some vegetarian Bacon,mac and cheese melts we’ve not had before with oven chips and beans,followed by a naughty doughnut
