Good afternoon. What a lovely day its been ,we have been for a long walk this morning , then we did a bit in the garden , had lunch and then finished off the jobs outside .

New neighbours moved into the flat next door on Friday but no one has seen them yet . Hope they are better than the last lot that used to live there who used the garden as a dumping ground . At one stage there was an old sofa out side on what we , tongue in cheek called a lawn. It was there for about 6 months till their housing landlord ordered them to clear it away .

    Have a good Sunday everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Avo - I hope the Harvest festival went well after all your hard work.

Plant, your poor GD sounds as though she's a bit run down. I hope the doctor can give her something. How scary choking on your cereal - thank goodness you managed to dislodge it.

Oma - how lovely when you find a shop like that - a real treasure. I hope it does well. How are your fingers now?

Qwerty - my back is a bit better, thank you for asking. But I can't sit down for long without it hurting again.

I had a chat with DS1 and DIL who are in Las Vegas, having a great time. GS1 wants to live there!!! The weather sounded good too, so I hope Nanto and her OH are enjoying it.

Mimi - Fingers crossed that your new neighbours are the neighbours from heaven this time.

I went to JL to look for something to wear on my 80th birthday family lunch, found a dressy top, haven't tried it on yet, a silver bracelet from me to me, a pair of shoes in the sale and a ball of wool. Stopped for a soup lunch. GD1 in the meantime had been sent home from work feeling rotten, can't wait to get her to the doctors tomorrow, she is sleeping most of the time so I haven't been able to look at her throat again but I suspect it is getting worse, she felt bit better yesterday and we shared a take-away curry. I have to meet her sister from the train later.

Morning all got the 2 cherubs today, will take them out later. Both absorbed in electronics at the moment. 😏 Tomorrow we have to go to Plymouth to view the plans for our bathroom and kitchen, hoping SIL can finish early so we don't have to take girls, or else it's going to be fun. Sunny here again today,we are both getting over bad colds and coughs that seems to be doing the rounds. Just waiting to hear when T is moving to the brain injury unit for more suitable rehab. Catch up later.

Rang 111 yesterday GD throat was covered in infection so after a lot of questions we were given an appt. for 5.30 our local minor injuries dept, she saw a doctor within a few minutes and we then had to go to a pharmacy that would be open which fortunately was quite close to the station where I was picking up GD1. I hope she will feel a lot better today. Her mother sent her a message yesterday saying she missed her. they are back on Thursday and then GM can go off duty. Bed changing for me today, then bowls this afternoon. Cooking gammon for us all this evening.

Hope the trip to the Plymouth goes well and without the helpers Libra, you certainly don't let the grass grow under your feet. Hope you get news soon about T.

Good morning all. Sun is shining here.

                      Thanks for the graphic Oma
Plant, how scary about the choking, I know how terrifying that is, but it has never happened to me when I was alone. Take care!
I hope your GD is soon feeling much better.
I hope you both soon recover from your colds Libra, good to have you posting.
I hope your day goes well Daisy, and your back isn't made worse.

Yesterday GS1 had a lovely party. He could not be more delighted to be 6, he has looked forward to it for many months!
After the party. and helping clear up and take everything back to the car for DD1 and SIL, OH and I went to DD2's to meet GD's new guinea pigs and very cute they are We stayed and had a cuppa and catch up. Then I was very tired! Once we got home, late afternoon I went to bed for a couple of hours.

I slept quite well last night and had a lovely sleep in until 10 this morning, now ready to face the day! Work for me late afternoon. This morning I want to walk into the village (trying to keep up the good habits I started in Nova Scotia) to the library and to buy a couple of things.

                      Have a good Monday everyone.

Good morning all. The sun is shinning but its rather chilly in the shade .
Just finished cleaning the windows and had a well earned cup of coffee.

Oma sorry to see you had yet another sleepless night , I know its no comfort to you but I slept really well, that's when I did eventually drop off that is. The ant depression tablets are helping me sleep but when I see dr on Wednesday I am hoping I can come off them . Hope your fingers are ok

Plant its scary when you choke isn't it. Hope your throat isn't sore . I ended up in A and E many years ago after chocking on a chip of all things , had to have the damn thing take out by a doctor as it was stuck in the back of my throat

Daisy how is the back this morning

We have got a check up with the dentist tomorrow and fingers crossed we don't need any treatment as I have only just got over the cost of my new glasses

My back’s not too bad, the the girls are planning some sort of game which involves me, so I’m bracing myself!,,

Plant, it’s a good job you got GD to the doctors yesterday so treatment could start straight away. I hope she’s soon feeling better. Is your throat ok? Mimi I ended up in A&E as well with a piece of apple stuck in my throat. A nurse had the bright idea of using olive oil. It didn’t taste great, definitely not cold pressed extra virgin, but it did the trick.

Gem, I’m so glad GS1 enjoyed his birthday. It doesn’t seem five minutes since yo were venturing into the blue aisle for the first time. 🙂. You’re doing well with the jet lag, but you do sound busy. Don’t overdo it. Xx

Libra, it’s so lovely to have you back with us. I bet you’re enjoying having the girls, but it will be hard to concentrate on your kitchen and bathroom tomorrow. Definitely a day for just you and OH. I hope your coughs and colds are better. Do keep us posted on what you choose for the kitchen and bathroom.

Oma, I think you need a nana nap this afternoon. 😘

Daisy I have lost a little weight this holiday (DD and SIl being very healthy vegetarian eaters plus living on a hill equals less calories and more exercise!) I want to keep up the exercise, minus the hills thank goodness, so although tired I walked into the village earlier, and felt better for it. Apart from driving to my client and doing the hour treatment, I shall be taking it easy the rest of the day

Well done on losing weight while you were in Canada, Gem.

My my recent good intentions have fallen by the wayside, so I must get back to healthy eating! 😟
