I had a very busy day yesterday so I am being lazy, still in dressing gown.

Morning all . I was up at sparrows cough this morning. It was still dark . I haven't know early mornings like that since I worked . The reason for the ungodly hour of the day was for a Drs appointment . My original appointment was at the surgery just down the road from where I live but it was changed to the surgery that is the two bus rides away or an hour walking . Because of the time of the appointment I was caught up in the school run so a 20 min car ride takes almost as long as walking !
Dr has told me for about I have to stay on tablets for about 9 to 12 months, and there I was thinking he would take me off them today ! Any way when I was there I said to him , "Can I have a word to you about my toes ?" I told him they have been painful for about 2 years . He said no wonder . look at your big toes they are bent to the side . Would you believe I never really noticed as I suppose it was a gradual change . Its arthritis apparently . Got to have an x-ray and treatment will depend on what it shows . He said it could be just managed with pain killers , injection in the toes or in some cases breaking the toes and resetting them When I spoke to DD she said "You know , you are not selling this old age malarkey thing !"


Oma sorry to hear you had yet another bad night , mine wasn't too good either. I woke up and thought, it will be light soon , I'll get up in a minute when I looked at the time it was just after 1.30 am Didn't get a wink of sleep after that

Plant we have a neighbour round here that spends all day , every day in her dressing gown .

Well good afternoon people and Daisy, are you awake yet multi talented lady , phew what a day you had , I know what you mean about the tea time lark, I never wanted much to eat after having the twins and sometimes eldest you just want a quick sandwich or something on toast, 3 can be like having a hurricane in your head and two is just as bad too.

Mimi that sounds an ungodly hour to be up for the docs , pity about the tablets but good that you mentioned the feet though so worth the journey, don’t like the sound of breaking toes , you could have your feet in pot 😷 I sent my Dd a text yesterday asking her if she had beeen to the parents evening , she told me she had sent pics of a treat g/d got for a good report and I answered , was I ok !!!! she asked sarcastically I remember nothing about it she sent me an emoji of a face confused, cheeky so and so
OH out cutting the grass, no therapy today, but looking for my tin hat as he stopped smoking altogether today and I am expecting repercussions 😱
Gem I don’t know how you find time with what you do and paint stones , I struggle to put the kids paints away , there is nothing in our village I know about . Enjoy lunch , my little cherubs were picked up by me yesterday ,on the way home I asked what they wanted for tea ,J said beans on toast with chips 🤭 M the same but after for her was rice pudding and he wanted a jam mini roll easy easy .
sounds like E had some lovely presents now you have to start thinking what to get them for that holiday coming up in December
Oma this not sleeping thing must drive you insane, I was awake at 6.50 and I thought that was early, how you find the energy to do housework beggars belief

Qwerty I do a lot of my housework during night when I can't sleep , well the stuff that doesn't make a noise 😊
I have had to push myself today to do things , B took the little glass fittings off my lights in the kitchen & dining room today so I could wash them , then I did ironing , all I really want to do is go to sleep but have GS1 . I think I'm going to have to go see the Dr I can't keep this up much longer 😕

Oma - I think it's a really good idea to ask the doctor about not sleeping. It can't be doing you any good, and you must be exhausted.

Nanto - a big welcome back! I hope you've had a wonderful time and aren't too jet lagged. We'd all love to see pictures and hear all about it! It's currently just turned 9 am in Vegas, so I bet you don't know whether you're ready for breakfast or tea!

Mimi - what an early start only to be told you need to continue with the tablets for now. But if you can get something to ease the pain in your feet it will be worth it.

Plant - we all need restful days, don't we. I hope you're enjoying yours.

Gem - so you're now an expert on super heroes! I'm having trouble keeping up with GD1's Pokemon habit - it's like living in a parallel universe to me. Have you now finished carrying rocks around the village?

Qwerty - well, I survived but only just!! I never remember getting so tired with our own two boys, but I was a good few years younger then! I've done nothing today except for taking Eva and Bailey to the paddock for a run round. It was such a lovely warm day! I'm going to get dinner in a minute, and that's it! I hope.

Busy day for me again. Emptied one of the sheds full of toys, scooters & goodness knows what. OH was here to share the job so that was good. Only took 5hrs. 😉

Good to see you back safe & sound Nan2. Good move going to see your dr Oma. You can't go on much longer without sleep.(Sorry I can't comment on everyone's posts.) Early start tomoro. Taking GSs 1 & 3 to school & Nursery. Will take us an hr to get there & we need to be there for 8am.😲

Mum was tense about the foot appointment and admited to me that she almost cancelled. She has short nails now, her feet feel soft and she is glad she had it done! She ate a good tea here afterwards.
