Morning all 'how is everyone ?

This afternoon I am planning to take up the dahlias that are in the front garden . I want to get them in before we have any frost . They will sit on the patio until the weather takes a turn for the worse then into the grow house where they will stay till the spring.

Daisy I think lots of my 'festive' will be done in December as I haven't got any idea what to get anyone and hopefully by then inspiration will strike !

The last day here in Canada with my lovely family. Goodbyes later until, they come home early next year.

DD and Sil are on there way to the airport to catch their flight to Ibiza, I am feeding the GD's whilst they are away as they are both working. I quite enjoy cooking for more than one for a change. Feeling nice and relaxed after my aqua class. I need to let the restaurant have the choices from everyone for my birthday lunch Sunday week. GD2 is going to help me later today to make sure they are all right. Spoke to Sil about his scan and he says nothing showing so it it carry on with physio for the painful shoulder and forearm.

Daisy hope the theatre visit goes well, nice that you don't have to drive.

Good evening and what a lovely day it has been up here, I have had both patio doors open lovely warm air warming the house up

Got a phone call to say alarm man is fitting new alarm on Saturday am , Dd might not get the lay in she thinks on her sleepover ☹️
Farmer been in the field all day well 4 tractors to be honest, the field has been fallow for a couple of years so it looks very autumnal with the earth churned up reminds me winter will be here soon

LOL Qwerty, I think we would outstay our welcome in DD's small flat for 3 weeks! This was a trip to see DD and SIL rather than a holiday as such. 9 days was just right . I don't think I could leave my mum for 3 weeks these days, this long is pushing it
We have had sun wind rain and snow today!!! Back at DD's now after a nice lunch and time by the waterfront.

Qwerty it's like the illuminations and they put displays all through the park and you follow a route , must say it's very pretty.
It was FREEZING COLD, sea breeze was spraying too making it icy against your face , every few yards were carts with all this light up stuff on for kids £5 for a light up wand expensive if you have more than 1 child , the poor people serving were getting a bashing with the wind and sea spray , don't envy their job,
Back home with the heating on , too cold to be hanging around but our meal was nice went for 5 pm so had time to eat and enjoy before we braved the cold 😊

Funnily enough I was under the impression Gem was away for three weeks like Qwerty.

It’s been a beautiful day here. We went to the “oldies” cinema to see the latest Jurassic World film. Not really my thing but I thought OH would like it. We nearly didn’t make it as there had been an accident on the main road into Swansea and traffic was tailed back for miles.A lady had been knocked over by a bus and the Air Ambulance had to land so the road was closed. It must have been really serious as she was taken to Cardiff instead of our large hospital.The bus crawled at best.Usually we have about half an hour to fill before we need to get to the cinema but today the bus wouldn’t even have reached the bus station before the film began .We finally crawled to a bus stop within (a long ) walking distance of the cinema but I thought if we could hurry we might make it on foot so we got off and dashed through town.The film had already started so we stumbled in and managed not to sit on anyone in the dark.

Good Friday Morning everyone.

Just a quick 'hello' from me as I rush round putting bins out, sorting dog toys out and getting ready to go out again! This time up to DS1's to collect Bailey, then, hopefully back home this afternoon and a chance to catch up. I can't keep up with myself this week, and haven't even thought about half-term next week!! Hey ho - I can never say life is boring!

The sun's shining here, but there's a definite nip in the air.

Friday's so good, I've said it twice!!! Sorry. I thought the graphic hadn't posted so sent it again, then both landed in my post. Rubbish internet this morning.

Morning Daisy /Ladies .
Daisy twice is better than none , busy day for you well busy week hasn't it ,
Been up early so done ironing , ironed fresh bedding ,that always takes forever to iron ,its now hanging over the bannister to go on when I strip the bed in the morning was going to strip it this morning but B beat me to it and made the bed while I was hoovering

I had a shower then took the trap out of the wet room floor to take apart and clean. I noticed when I went upstairs last night it had a musty smell , it was gross all the slime from the soap and shampoo and hair that builds up Yuk ,
Its been scrubbed bleached and boiling water put down so now smells nice and fresh but not a nice job

Dog is flat out as usual not much to do today now see what turns up ,
How is everyone how are OH's ? never heard how they all are for a while

I like Fridays too Daisy, don't know why as I am retired. Food shopping for me today and then later taking my GD2 to the station, she is going to London to spend time with her boyfriend, it is his birthday, she has made him a cake, she is a very panicky cook so lots of help calls from other kitchen as her mother is away, so GM to the rescue. GD1 is using her other GM's car atm so she is taking her to the hairdressers and food shopping, GM will enjoy spending time with her. GD1 came home from work yesterday feeling poorly so is home today. GD1 works for Waitrose and is baking bread etc so it is a 5.30 start, they have given her so many 5.30 starts lately and although she goes to bed about 8.30 I think she is exhausted, she has asked not to be given so many early starts.

I feel ashamed Oma, I have given up ironing bedding, just can't manage it so I just smooth it out, that will feel lovely to get into.

Daisy, Daisy, slow down what with dogs and GC you do have a busy life.

A long,long overdue hello from me,sorry for being AWOL for so long,but as most of you are aware it has been a very stressful few months.Now we are in and slowly getting sorted,perhaps I can catch my breathe long enough to join in again. Thank you all for messages and support over recent months. Both Brian and I seem to have collected colds and coughs since arriving here. Have found a lovely dog walking place not far from us,it's a walkable distance and a lovely place called Follaton woods. Will post more later,but just to say I'm back in the "normal" world.
