As you say Gem, GS might be getting past his afternoon slleps.

Hubby gone to B&Q with DS1, so i'm going to have walk down when they get back,and have a look at his new porch.

Daisy, GD will not be on the programme, they met them in a bar and she is never slow or shy, I expect she asked for a selfie with them. Only one pic was posted on FB the others were on Messenger, perhaps they asked not to be publish on FB. Slow at checking in today, warfarin check-up this morning, result wasn't good so she has upped my doseage and I have to go back Monday week. Also since then I have been making cakes for a cake stall at the Village Show. I also did my Waitrose food shop. Nice and sunny here today.

I suppose GS2 will stop his naps soon I suppose Gemini.

Plant - Oh, that's a pity, but I'm sure she enjoyed meeting the team. I hope your warfarin check-u is better next time. You're a very busy lady, what cakes did you make?

Gem - even if they only have 20 minutes nap it gives you a chance to sit down for a few minutes - or rush round and get little jobs done!

I've just cut the lawn as it went like rain, and it started with a few drops, so I left off and rushed inside with a line full of nearly dry washing - now the sun is out again. At least the lawn is done though!

OH is out tonight and I was going to prepare some dog food, but it's still frozen hard so I think I might sit down with an ever-growing shopping list and give the plastic some exercise!

Afternoon to one and all just back from B&Q but nothing bought wallpaper was diabolical , oh I lied we bought a double socket changing from single more and more electrical things seem to be coming
Food shop done didn’t want much but managed to spend £50
Gem our two didn’t stop their naps till they were four, I must admit I didn’t have to collect another g/c so did look forward to that little bit of peace and quiet . Tough that you can’t get the conservatory sorted Hopefully it won’t be long, I ordered 2 settees back in June they said it would be 13 weeks thought nothing of it but it has been so looooooong now I’ve lost the will to live due end of September 😟
Oma I’m sure I have seen your hair quite dark before and I think it will suit you too , a change is as good as a rest, I make have blie hair when I see you 🙂

Daisy, I made 2 lemon drizzle cakes, some scones and a fruit pie, also some banana cake for the GS'S., much appreciated. I will deliver them tomorrow to the village hall

Qwerty, you mad reckless thing, buying a double socket! I bet you've forgotten what your new settees look like! That's a long time.


I didn't have a nice quiet evening spending money after all. When I checked the dog food it was more defrosted than I thought it was so I spent 3 1/2 hours portioning up enough meals to fill two drawers in the dog freezer. At least she won't go hungry while we're in Birmingham next week!! By the time I'd given the kitchen a good clean it was turned 9.30 and I realised that the 2 glasses of wine I'd had hadn't accompanied dinner but I was too tired to make anything and just had a large bowl of muesli with yoghurt.

Off to bed now though, with aching feet, legs, back, neck and shoulders!

Hubby gone with his brother to car boot sale.
Going to Asda for essentials when he gets back.

Morning a bit miserable here, today we start stripping well only one wall lots of emulsioning though hate that especially the ceiling, gets some very loud wallpaper yesterday hope we’ve done right 😱 and that’s it for me plenty to keep me out of trouble ,

Oh also Dd assessor came yesterday all seems ok, a specialist has to come and check the ceiling for asbestos the nasty kind, the house is 30 yrs old but apparently it was still around then

Plant what lovely sounding cakes you made. Some of the members of the library group I belong to are WI ladies. They make delicious cakes for our fundraising events!
Qwerty, our new sofa is due at the end of November, so let's see if ours arrives in better time than yours does!

We ended up having fish and chips last night By the time DD2 and both children left it was after 7. We couldn't be bothered to start cooking then, so off OH went to the fish shop. As ours is an national award winning fish and chip shop, it is never a hardship to go there!
This morning I will go with OH to her friends house. Every year she keeps an eye on things and cuts the lawn when the friend and husband go on holiday.
I also want to go into the village to pick up GS1's birthday present which Argos have delivered to our local Sainsbury's and for a browse round my favourite gift shop, and maybe a coffee too!

Misty start to the day but the sun is trying to break through. I have to deliver the cakes after 12.30 this morning then I will carry on to the town to collect some slippers I have ordered, well sort of a house shoe, I forgot to collect them when I went food shopping. I had dinner at my other family, whilst I was in Waitrose I bought them some sushi, the GS's pounced on it, bottle of bubbles was opened. You never know what time you might get dinner in their house, they have an open door to their friends.
