Morning and a safe journey from Birmingham.I expect the time has flown.

Just general chores for me today and a bit more sorting out.I’m also going to make a blackberry and apple crumble.

Tomorrow we have an early start as I have an appointment for a scan re: my Lymphoma. At least being out early means we can have a few hours in town.We have two main hospitals in Swansea, one is 30 minutes away by bus and the other involves two buses and an hour and a half bus journey. Parking is impossible and OH gets stressed out easily so we are very grateful for our bus passes Of course the appointment is at the furthest one. I’m not allowed to eat or drink for 6 hours prior to the scan.I don’t know what I’ll do without my morning cuppa.

It’s just stopped raining but doesn’t look too promising.

    Enjoy your Sunday.

Good morning, hope you all have a safe journey home. Looking forward to hearing about your weekend.

Its been raining all night again after a very wet day yesterday, but it seems to have stopped now.

Good luck with your appointment tomorrow Clover. What a journey for you. Hope it all goes well. X

We had a phone call on Friday and DH has an appointment tomorrow to,see the liver specialist. All our other appointments have been at our local hospital in Bournemouth, 20 mins drive away, but this one is in Southampton which is about an hour, just under. So not too bad for us. DH is happy to drive so that’s ok, although when he has the op I’ve asked DD if she’ll take us. I’ve never driven on a motorway and I don’t think I’ll be in the right frame of mind to do it then!

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Beautiful sunshine here. We were warned it would be bad weather today. Clover and Enfys hope appointments go well tomorrow. Clover, you will be ready for a cuppa after.

          Thanks ladies.

Enfys I do hope your DH’s appointment goes well and you get some positive news about his treatment.

Well surprisingly the rain cleared away and we also have lovely sunshine now. We ventured out for a walk as the rain eased off as I feared it was just a temporary lull though in fact it’s turned into a sunny, though chilly afternoon.

Hope the Birmingham ladies are either home or well on the way by now. Looking forward to hearing about their adventures.

Hello everyone. Yes, I'm certainly back home from Brum. My first surprise was getting a seat on the train at Birmingham. Enfys and Libra if she happens to look in, will remember what this has been like in the past, and although it was busy and a shorter train (shock, horror!) I got a seat immediately. The first bus section didn't happen - the train went straight through to Southampton, and an earlier coach was late leaving so I caught that and didn't have to wait for the 'right' one. So I had a very easy comfortable journey instead of the scrum I'd expected! And even better, OH met me from the coach and had also got lunch ready. As I arrived in Southampton the sun came out and it's now a very nice afternoon.

Clover - poor you, that sounds like a long bus journey. I hope everything is ok with your scan - sending you love and a big hug. You will certainly be ready for your morning cuppa when you can get it.

Enfys - It's good P has got an appointment with the specialist, but I didn't realise you'd have to go to Southampton, which is where my OH is going for his eye treatment. Do allow plenty of time for parking - all the car parks seem to fill up very quickly. We've been lucky because OH's appointments have always been first thing in the morning. I hope you have a good journey and everything goes well at the hospital. Love to you and a big hug as well.

Evening ladies I got in about 4.30 unpacked and sorted , Train was cramped packed all the way home couldn't get any drinks as they couldn't get the trollie down Isles ,
B picked me up and when I got In I found he had done all the washing and the ironing , changed the bed and ironed bedding plus made soup and dumplings for tea a home made fresh trifle and home made Bread 😊
I'm going away more often 😀😀
I will try catch up with everyone's news later xxx

                Hello everyone
I'm safely home too. I came in and went straight out to my mum's. As we missed out on lunch I have made myself a quick bowl of pasta, which I am about to eat. Talk to you all properly later

Good to see you're back home. Great that your OH's are looking after you. Just waiting to hear from Plant & Qwerty now. Good luck with all the hospital appointments to those who have them. .

Grauntie I'll try to put a pic in the art section. DD2 called in with her two but wasn't able to play as much today. M.E comes back to bite me in the rear. I've decided that art is my saviour.

Good to hear our jetsetting ladies arrived back safely.

Lovely to hear you all had a good time.

Nana, I didn’t know you were a sufferer of M.E. I have a pal who says exactly the same thing about art and M.E. You have my sympathy should you want it. 🙂
Glad most of you have reported in after your weekend in Birmingham. I just hope the others haven’t been abducted by aliens....

I have written on the Birmingham thread.
Daisy I'm glad your trip was so easy.
Clover and Enfys, thinking of you and the upcoming appointments.
Nana no OH to look after me, she is away on an overnight golf trip. So I had to cook for myself!

Chilly here tonight so I have the fire on and candles lit, and am catching up on Friday nights soaps.
GS1 and school run for GD tomorrow, then out at night, so I think I will have an early night tonight.

Gem - at least you've got your feet up catching up with the soaps.

It's a busy day for you tomorrow, then. I hope you sleep well so you're bouncing with energy for your day with GS1. I'm going to pick Cooper up first thing and come back here so he and Eva can play, then go back and do the school run for GD2 and an hour later for GD1.

Thanks Grauntie. I'm used to it now as I've had it for ages. I just makes me sad when it stops me doing anything...like the Brum meet up. I would have loved to have met Daisy & Plant for the first time. I'll be a golf widow too tomoro Gem...can't say I mind that much.😉
