    Good morning all.

I haven't had an egg for breakfast for ages Nan2, it looks quite appetising on this morning's graphic
I hope you both enjoy the film Qwerty. I wish my OH liked the cinema more, we would go far more often, especially in winter.

Unknown to me something we ate last night had red chilli in it (I checked the packaging at 3am!) which meant little sleep for me.
This morning OH is going to play golf with a friend. Later the man is coming to replace the conservatory roof panels damaged in the storm, and I will do my mum' shopping and go to visit her.
    Have a good day everyone!

Good morning! I'll come back to that egg for lunch - it looks tasty, Nanto!

Qwerty - it looks like a busy day ahead for you. Enjoy the film.

Gem - I quite enjoy the cinema when we get round to going, but it means travelling quite a long way and I think we've got very lazy about going out at night. I have never really considered going during the day, but perhaps we should give it a go! I hope everything goes smoothly with replacing the conservatory roof panels - and with your mum. xx

It's a lovely sunny day here - although it was quite chilly and autumnal first thing. The plumber is here replacing our leaking en suite radiator - thank goodness, it's getting cold in there now, and I love a nice warm bathroom. I'm meeting up with College friends for lunch, and am looking forward to it. I've missed the last couple of get togethers for various reasons, so it will be good to see everybody.

Have a good day, one and all.

Good morning. Sunny but chilly here. We have decided to go for a walk along by the river, pop into the visitors centre to see what’s been going on and then have lunch out. Must make the most of sunny days, they might not last much longer.

Enjoy your lunch and get together Daisy, always good to meet up with friends.

We havent been to the conema cinema for years, Qwerty, must have a look at the daytime screenings, Like Daisy we don’t go out much at night! Enjoy the film.

Thanks Oma and Nan2, I'm OK now, damned chilli! I usually check labels but these were some little Chinese starters we had in the freezer which OH popped in the oven for us.
I'm glad it was this Thursday and not next, when we have 9am hospital, and I am out at the theatre that night! I don't have too much to do today, and can have an early night if I want.

I hope those lunching out enjoy

Good afternoon all, just relaxing before our whirlwind of energy and non stop chat GS arrives to stop for the next few days. I'm bracing myself !

Tesco grocery has arrived and its been put away, washing is blowing on the line and lunch is over and done with .

Talking of fried eggs or rather eggs in general, I just can't bring myself to eat any , just the thought of them makes me feel nauseas. Never used to have a problem with them , its just been these last 6 months or more .

The gas men are slowly making their way towards our flat , there is lots of noise outside and it looks as if my neighbours drive will be partly dug up and perhaps some of our path but at least we won't have to put up with the mess and inconvenience the people living in the upstairs flats will have. apparently they have to have new gas meters that are to be positioned outside with pipes going all the way up the stairs , through the loft and then into the kitchen,
We just have to have a new pipe up to our meter which they say can be pushed through from outside ,

Have a good weekend everyone , I mightn't get chance to catch up with you all for a day or two
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                    Afternoon all

I hope the ladies who were out for lunch have had a good time.

Daisy and Enfys, you should try daytime cinema, perhaps combining it with a shopping trip or something. Once you’re inside you don’t realise what time of day it is and then you can go home and enjoy your evening.

I worked this morning instead of my usual Friday as my “lady” was going to a funeral and she asked me to keep her disabled sister who she lives with company. I thought I might as well do the cleaning at the same time. When I’d finished I sat with C and we had a chat. I made us a cup of tea and took her to the loo. She walks very awkwardly with a walker and she is a large lady and I’m always afraid she might fall. She has a carer twice a day as her sister is in her eighties and can’t cope with C’s personal care. I stayed on an extra hour or so ,so it meant a late lunch for us when I got home.

It’s a nice day here so might try a bit of gardening and get OH to cut up some shrub prunings

                    Have a good afternoon all.

The Fair has arrived on the village green, it will be there for 3 days then combines with two other Fairs and goes to our local town. It is a Charter fair and apparently one man came with one roundabout during the war to keep the Charter alive. The green is right opposite the village first school so I expect there were a few excited children going home today.

Gem - I hope the day hasn't been to tiring for you. Early night tonight?

Clover I bet your "lady's" sister was grateful for your company as well as your help. Did you get G to deal with the shrub prunings?

Plant - I think it's amazing that these travelling fairs still exist, but it's a part of childhood, isn't it. We used to live very near to the Hollycombe Steam collections and the GSs used to love going there - all the old fashioned steam rides, waltzers, a cake walk, a razzle dazzle, Gallopers, a boat swing and all kinds of things.

Hollycombe’s Edwardian Fairground takes us back to over 100 years ago, bringing the atmosphere of a larger steam fair to life.

It seems to be something that fascinates children of all ages. My GD2 loves my 'plastic' apron which came from a ride owner we know, and has pictures of old-fashioned traditional rides on it.

Mimi - I love eggs, but one is enough! A second one will make me feel nauseous, but it's strange you've gone off them all at once. The gas meter installations sound a nightmare, especially for the first floor flat resident. Are they for the benefit of the gas customers, or the gas supplier?

Oma - knowing so many people really slows down shopping, doesn't it. Still it's nice to stop and have a chat.

Enfys - hasn't it been a lovely day after that chilly start! I'm glad I went out in summer clothes - I was very tempted to wear something warmer!

I had a lovely time at lunch. There were 7 of us, and we had a good chat, a laugh and as always put the world to rights. This little group keeps expanding! Not every one can make it every month, but this week we were joined by the ex-Head Technician. He was always lovely to work with, and always willing to help and it was lovely to see him and catch up with what he's doing in retirement. As always in this weather the view was stunning, with the sun shimmering gold and silver on the Solent. There were lots of people out on the golf course too.

Gorgeous day Daisy. We had a lovely walk by the river, lots of people about and we got chatting to a lady with a lovely Labrador. She told us he was a dementia service dog for her mother. I had never heard of that and she told us he was the first one to be trained. unfortunately the charity has now folded due to lack of f7nding so they asked her if she would take on the dog on behalf of her mother, He was lovely and she said made such a difference to her mother, so I learnt something today! We had a lovely lunch then went on to the garden centre where we bought some bags of compost. Now I feel shattered, had a little doze when we got home.

How kind of you Clover, I’m sure you made such a difference to that kady’s day.

We have a fair on the common near us every Easter. It’s lovely to hear the fair music. It luckily we are far enough away for it not t be too loud.

Well the conservatory men came, and went away again! The panels were the wrong ones. So they had to replace the panel they had taken dowb, remove all the dust covers they had covered the conservatory furniture with and go. We now await another date

Clover, I love daytime cinema. Sometimes you get the screen to yourself!
                            Lunch sounds food Daisy
Good to get out in the fresh air Enfys.
I hope you enjoy GS time Mimi and are not too exhausted!

As it was such a lovely day we had a trip to the seaside. Sadly not very close to us, but it was worth the journey!Chips and ice cream watching the world and ships go by was a very nice way to spend the afternoon. We came back via one of our old homes, my how the village has grown since we left.

Pats on the back to all those kind ladies and patience to those who've had problems with workmen!

I can't remember the last time I went to see a grown-up film at the cinema!! Been with GS but that doesn't really count does it? OH won't go anywhere near a cinema and it's hard work getting him to the theatre as well. Miserable old so and so!!
