Weather has been lovely here today.plenty of sunshine.
Turns cool at tea time,so we have the heating on now.

Enfys - what a lovely day! It's a pity the charity the dog came from has folded - it sounds like a really useful service. When we were away in the caravan in July we met a couple who had a failed guide dog! He went through all the training but wouldn't work with the harness on! I reckon he was very smart - he's had the life of Riley with this lovely couple!

Wee Granny - well worth the trip out today. Doesn't it do you good to see the sea, and the only possible things to eat are chips and ice cream. Days out like that get more and more precious as the bad weather approaches, so I'm glad you made the most of it. It's strange going back to a house you used to live in, isn't it. It's the same, but different! I tried to find one of our old houses on Google Maps recently (can't remember why!), and I couldn't even find it, although I'm sure it's still there!

Gem - What a nuisance, now you've got to re-arrange that work and stay in again for it. Will they be back soon?

We've had our heating on for a little while tonight, just to make sure it's ok after the plumber turned everything off to put the new bathroom radiator in. Yay! Hopefully the shower room will be nice and cosy tomorrow.

My GD1 who is in Corfu with the family has just sent me some pictures of herself with the cast of The Durrells, they are filming a new series.

Gem - have a lovely day with GS2. Although it's nice to pick the older ones up from school, on days like today your whole day can stretch ahead to do whatever you feel like. Have fun.

I've been very lazy since we got back from our little holiday, and was out most of yesterday, so today I need to set to and prepare a couple of weeks worth of dog food, finish off the washing (don't mention the hot, hissy thing!!) and a few other chores. OH is out for dinner tonight, so I don't have to cook.

Just sorted veg out for GS1's tea then sorted Dog and had a shower , have some ironing but I will do that later ,
Dyed my hair last night Mid Brown , I always use Semi permanent but put a proper one on last night , its came out almost Black not a lot I can do about it now so Black it is

Oma - did you intend to dye your hair black? At least with it being short it will soon grow out if you don't like it.

No Daisy it said Mid Brown on the box , ive always used Mid Brown in the Semi Permanent so thought the Permanent would be the same colour , im having it cut next week so maybe it wont look so bad ,
Too be honest its not bad just a shock it was so dark

I hate it when my hair turns out too dark Oma! Even permanents fade though, so it will lighten, especially as I think you wash yours every day?

Oma - I suppose different formulas work in different ways! I'm sure it will look fine, and as Gem says with washing your hair every day it will lighten.

Gem, in laws are on good form today.

It has started to rain, after being fairly dull all day. OH is on the golf course. As it is not a competition, but the ladies weekly informal get together, they may retire to the clubhouse!
GS2 is on the cusp with his afternoon naps, some days he sleeps some days he doesn't, and hasn't had one this week I think DD said. She, and nursery still put him down for rest though, and then if he doesn't sleep get him up earlier. It went quiet up there, so I thought he may be sleeping, but then I heard him over the monitor! I will leave him a bit longer. Giving up his naps will benefit me when OH isn't here and I have school pick ups as I won't have to wake him. He is almost 2 and a half so he may just have had enough of them!
