    Enjoy your meals out Gemini.

I have to go out today because when I went to the dentist yesterday I left my bag at home, so no money, no cards so no shopping just had a £1 in the car for the car park. Came home and didn't feel like making a trip out again as I was going out to trefoil in the evening, so did some knitting. Dentist couldn't give me another antibiotic because of my warfarin. Tooth is still slightly painful, not sure how long the referral will take.

Good afternoon will only spend a little time maybe at intervals , I have those most painful stiff neck couldn’t get out of bed this morning, It’s been nagging all week but usual
it settles down during the day. It could be a few times I’ve spent a lot of time on my iPad and it always seems at a silly angle, the new suite we bought has no arms just like flat cushions ,so when I lie to watch tv I am very low, I have a big cushion but even then I am still low, we bought new pillows good ones about 12 weeks ago so wouldn’t think it’s that, it’s worse if I try 2 pillows , what am I like trying to carry on as normal don’t want it to lock up completely .
Ooh Plant you must be pretty fed up now
Gem enjoy your meals as in plural lucky girl 🍽🍽

Ouch Qwerty have you tried a heat pack or fill a sock with rice and put it in the microwave for 2 mins it will mould around your neck .
I bet every time you turn the wrong way it will hurt , I must admit being on the ipad makes my neck hurt and sometimes I go dizzy , but yours sounds like you have ricked it some how , soothing hugs lovely xxx

Good afternoon, everybody. I managed to read everyone's chat yesterday, but didn't get a chance to comment what with one thing and another!

Plant - I do hope you get some indication of how long the referral will take for your tooth.

Qwerty - what a cheek of your dentist's receptionist. I think you were very polite - I'd have been fuming! It's all right for them to keep you waiting, but not the other way round. I would mention it, sort of casually, next time you see the actual dentist. I never know whether heat of cold is good for aches like your poorly neck. I suppose warmth relaxes the muscles and helps blood flow, and cool packs help with inflammation. Have you tried Volterol gel? That should at least ease the pain a bit.

Gem - good news about your village library. How lovely two meals out today. I bet you were relieved not having to do the drive home in the dark yesterday.

Avo - poor little dog. I do sympathise. Eva's terrified as well and won't let anyone touch her unless we wrestle her to the floor and all but sit on her, and I hate that feeling that we're forcing her into some treatment or other.

Yesterday was hectic and manic as usual, but my back's still not good, so DIL2 picked up the girls from school and took them back to the shop, and I collected them from there, but even that wasn't straightforward. The carpark was packed with people parked in non-spaces. I reversed up to the back door of the shop, then had to move to let someone out, reparked and them someone came in and parked right up the back of the car, so Cooper was going berserk, wanting a fuss from DS, but we couldn't open the tailgate because of the other car, then GD2 wanted to do her own seat belt up (she knows Grandma has to do it!) so it was a bit of a battle. Then DS and DIL were held up leaving the shop which made me late home. I was glad I'd got leftover chicken to stick on the table quickly, before dashing out again.

But, training class was fantastic. Eva did the whole class off lead for the first time. This is such a huge step forwards for her and I still can't quite believe it!

Like lots of other places, the local surgery and chemists have run out of flu vaccine and we were on a waiting list. They phoned yesterday to say we could go in to the chemists today for it, so we were there at 9 am! Job done.

We then went into Lymington - I had a 50% off voucher for Specsavers so I chose another pair of glasses, so I can keep a pair in the car. Then I popped into Mountain Warehouse for a couple of tops, and this lovely furry lined fleece jumped right out in front of me. Resistance was futile! Haha. Then on to Christchurch to have a look for replacement basin for the bathroom, but didn't find anything we liked.

So on to Sainsbury's and spent out double Nectar points on exciting things like new pyjamas, slippers for me, socks for OH, new everyday wine glasses, and (dare I admit) some fir-tree like candles and wrapping paper! We stopped off for a coffee and sat outside with Eva enjoying the sunshine. There was a bit of a breeze coming off the sea, but it was quite warm. Then we took Eva into the pet shop to get her weighed. She was very good walking past all the treats in open bins at nose level! So she came out with a new ball and a rope tug toy, which she more or less carried back to the car. I think she came off best from our shopping spree.

I'm a bit shocked by Daisy buying festive wrapping paper in November
Qwerty, ouch! I hope it eases soon.
I'm sorry to hear that Plant's tooth and Daisy's back are still painful.

We had a nice catch up with our friends, and I have now finished typing up the minutes of yesterday's meeting. Some before and the rest after our lunch out.
Out again soon for OH to do a bit of DIY and us to be fed

Gem - if you're shocked by me buying wrapping paper in November, think how I must feel! I need to lie down in a darkened room for about a month to recover!! I hope OH's DIY goes smoothly this time and she can relax over her meal.

I have to confess that I bought two boxes of shortbread which were on offer in Waitrose and my C******** card is almost finished. As for wrapping paper, I think I've still enough left from past years to do me this year!!
Nobody is keen on mince pies, so I can get away with a shop bought box or two. I may make a cake though even if I have to eat it all myself.
As DS is in a flat of his own now, I think the plan is that we'll have C******** dinner there but we may have to take some ingredients with us. We're waiting to hear what he'd like be it turkey or beef or whatever. As he demolished the gammon joint I had when he was back in the Summer, I suspect I may have to get one of those. As far as I can make out you can take meat between countries in the EU.

Hope that all those feeling a bit under the weather soon feel better x
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
